Hmm the Suzuki Swift is making me lose interest in the Nord, never thought that would happen. It's too easy for dirty drivers to get away with stuff. My race just now, a dirty block after 1st served a penalty, cost me 5 seconds on the straight while he went sailing off with a simple SR Down. I guess I have to drive off the road next time he does it.

This combo is sooo slow and of course the one great race I had last night my internet went out. Bumper to bumper with clean drivers , perfectly synchronized, amazing racing, albeit in slow motion. Unfortunately at the karroussel all the other cars suddenly crashed which can only mean one thing, 5 sec later, disconnected.

Jeez, if even the Nord can't get my blood going again in this game I'm wondering if it's time to put it to pasture. At least there's still Sunday night @Mistah_MCA. I might actually go back to practice a bit on the mountain at a more respectable speed.

Oh great, dirty block is back on pole in my next race.

I never go close enough to get blocked, 3rd never got close to me either. Utterly boring 'race'. Clean streak going up but bah do not like time trials. I'm out.

appreciate the advice and ive seen it elsewhere, but after my previous attempt to fix a Dualshock 4 (right trigger spring, of course), I'm rather apprehensive about opening the console up.

I understand how you feel about that, I was very reluctant, but it was very easy to do.
A first check can be done just by prying the lid off and blow out the dust.
 
So, I made a new livery, went to the Sardegna to test and amuse myself posing for photos and ended up getting a 52.850 :D:D:D.

The gears, all boils down to carring enough speed in order to avoid using the first one.

i've had a clean around before, never popped the inner case.

additional problem for me is the console was dropped on concrete about a year ago, that's when I first got input issues but I played through it by always connecting the controller via cable and changed the controller communication setting to cable only.

then a month or two back I noticed the right stick seemed to have phantom inputs jiggling the camera any time I squeezed the left trigger to brake. This issue grew more and more consistent and reared its head in other games (wanna try a 250m SVD shot on Ghost Recon? enjoy your wiggling scope) and eventually, a couple of days ago, crossing over to the left stick. The PS4 actually froze when I was booting up Monster Hunter World (pretty demanding game if the fan spool-up is anything to go by) and I suspect it would still run GTS for the most part, but the growth in the stick drifting problem coupled with back to back hard freezes makes me thinknthe combination of damage from the fall and heat damage has sent it beyond a point of no return.

That's nice because you sir gave me yet another chance for saying that I hate that track.

But the C event there, with seriously underpowered cars, is fun and a good laugh. I just don't have any real shot at being even remotely competitive on the Ring, so I just race there to enjoy the scenery.

Not being able to leverage the track/car combo usually bores me, so I can't neither commit, neither enjoy it more seriously.

I'll figure something out soon enough, I'm sure. It's really a miracle she ever lived this long. Was a destiny launch bundle... That's what, 2014? I went through 5 XBOX 360s in a similar timeframe, so I can't say I'm unimpressed with Sony...

I must sadly report the state of my PS4 - fried.

My stick drifting issue moved from the relatively innocuous right stick, to the thoroughly important left stick, spamming the up input every ten seconds or so. Since this made it impossible to play Monster Hunter, Titanfall, or anything else I'd been bashing, I was relegated to GTS - not the worst fate - and the Suzuki at Nordschleife combo. I never got the chance to put in a clean lap.

It seems this recent bout of extreme heat has written her off. My PS4 repeatedly hard froze until I gave up. Even in the brief times it would run, the left stick spamming up makes even navigating the menus basically impossible.

So, that puts me firmly out of action for... The forseeable future, really. Try as I might I can't replace the job I lost by getting sick and never getting a call back, so I don't see myself being able to do anything about this.

Or do anything for that matter. Not exactly sure what to do with myself. I am very sad.

Have you ever opened your ps4 and cleaned it? My stick drift issues are always my controller. Ds4s are dog **** build quality. Ive had 2 last less than 3 months.

That's my next step but I'm not optimistic due to the damage from the fall.

Guys, I’ve been curious if there’s been any discussion about the next GTS on PS5 regarding account transfer. Anyone know if we will preserve our standings/name/stats & achievements? Will they migrate our data over to the new PS5 servers or will we all start over from DR E?

Anyone read anything on this?

****sorry guys, I probably should post this in a general discussion forum. It’s just that I can’t help myself, I get so attached, and the rest of GT planet is such a vast and scary place. :lol:
