So far far I've put in a 9:06 QT for Race C, always fun to push a slow car fast, did o e race and finished 2nd. I will probably give Race B a whirl since I really like Gr. 3.
 
So I ran a few Q laps Sun night when the races switched over. The car definitely feels different in Race B than Time Trials as I was almost a sec slower in qualifying. I will probably stick to hotlapping this race as I don't see a lot of passing opportunities on this track. And the Nurb GP brings back bad memories of dive bombs, might give it a shot...um maybe. Which brings me to the Ring, one of my favorite tracks. Only ran 2 Q laps so may set aside an hour to improve my time, if I don't nod off first. :lol: Race C for me this week. Hope to see y'all on the track. I'll be running my Ebay Chevy Swift SS.

Is there a way to see where your lap times ranks in the leaderboards outside of the Top 10?

I did a 52.7 in race B with the GT-R, wonder how competitive that is.

Did a few Race C's, but life is way too short for this combo, even to take out the retro MotoGP inspired livery:

Race B is a lot more fun, and actually been pretty clean so far in the B/S class; even when starting from the back. The Z4 is pretty neat around Sardenga.
 
IMO it'd be pretty neat if we had a race at the Nordshleife, but it replicated one of the classes at the actual race. E.g. being limited to N-Series cars with a specific displacement range, and all cars are either NA or equipped with forced-induction. I already know that having Gr.3, Gr.4, or a one-make using a car from either class would be realistic, but I suppose I had a more unusual idea in mind.
 
Gosh I hate this game sometimes.

3 goes around Sardegna then, just to take all the punishment at once. In between races I ran the QTT of course. Currently sitting on a 54.2xxx... Opt is a 53.5xxx apparently. Fastest I actually ever managed was a 53.6xxx which was actually the fastest lap in race 3 until some Dane in a Maccers way back down the field had an extraordinary one.

Back in DR/D of course so that very mediocre QT is worth P6 to start with. First 2 races were filled with promise until I binned it. The last race I conspired to hit the wall through the wiggly section 3 times in a row on the first 3 laps but some how managed to grab P3 at the flag.

Silly game. I think I'm done donating DR for the week. Back to Bathurst practice for @Mistah_MCA 's weekend fun and games. Gonna need it :scared:

I'll give it a crack after I've eaten. Optimal after 25 laps yesterday was 52.7xx. So, a fair bit of time to make up on the 53.014.
 
Race B is hopeless. Usually I got bumped out right on the first corner.

Race A: I'm not great around Nurburgring GP and none of those cars feel right for me.

Race C: it's fun, but I don't have any shot at being competitive there.

Conclusion: a lost week, better focus on the livery editor for now.
 
Got the Swift down to a 4.7 now, should be a Sub 4 lap but I had a small series of mistakes starting at the 2:50ish mark that almost ruined the entire lap, luckily I was able to save it. What a tough time trial this is, I love it!! :D

@Mistah_MCA, thanks for the race C lap guide. I'm still about 10 or 11 seconds behind you. :lol: I can see a couple of obvious seconds I'm losing, when I watch your video. The most important turn for time that I've discovered is the right-hander at 5:40 in your video (no clue what any of the turn names are). When I've done that turn well, compared to when I've done it poorly, results in about a 3 second difference by the time I get to the sharp right that's before the carousel.

I also noticed that you stayed in 3rd gear in a couple of places where I've been using 2nd. You're also using less brakes than I am, mainly because I haven't memorized the entire track, but I'm getting pretty close to that. I'll probably watch your lap guide a couple more times, and spend a couple more hours driving around the track. 👍

You're welcome, doing this lap guide was so ****ing horrifying, I even had a nightmare of being trapped in Nordschleife with this car for the rest of eternity much fun to make! :)

That turn you described is pretty tricky. Took me a few attempts to get it right.
I'm surprised that I can even recognize the track. Shows how much I no-life this game. :D

Thanks! :cheers: I’m loving this combo as a TT. I actually changed the Speedo to Mph a few weeks back because a few people jokingly asked me to do it to make lap comparisons easier. I don’t use it at all when I’m driving, so I figured if it helped others by switching it then why not eh? :)
 
52.836 in the GTR.

Any pointers? I know I'm getting the last corner wrong. First half is bumper cam, with inputs. Second half is chase cam, for better view of where I'm positioned on track.

I have to call for reservation and, obviously, I never drove one of these "nice" car before so ...... Which one would you go for ...... F430..... Gallardo .....or 458 ?
I have to decide pretty soon and I just don't know ....!!! :confused:
 
Been running the Swift @ Nurb qualifier tonight and it's quite addictive :D Got my best down to a 9'00.224 but a slow Karussell entry and a sloppy last section says I can go sub 9 minutes when I clean it up.. I'll be back ;)

Not sure you could go wrong, either way. 👍 Spend a few extra bucks and get the insurance because, you know......

That was fun. Would have been a 3rd place finish, but the Mclaren in 4th tried a dive bomb (or missed his marker) on the final corner, last lap. I turned in late to avoid, and he took out the AMG in 2nd, who'd been leading the race for the first 7 laps.

DR up approx 850 points. SR up 5, back to 99.
 
I really love this weeks Race C. It's so rare that we get combos like that that I sometimes end up neglecting this game for months on end. I'm outing myself as someone who's hopeless at anything beyond Gr.4. In fact I don't like to drive race cars at all since to me GT has always been about thrashing your mediocre everyday car around a virtual track. I wish GT would expand on this unique trait to stand out more among the endlessly same racing games which are always about driving the fastest cars and taking part in the same real world example racing series. Anyway, I managed to post a 9:04.418 after a couple of laps and will be spamming this race over this week. I still find myself losing time on the straights because I'm still working out where to shift but I'll refer to the Top 10 times to get that sorted.

That’s really cool Man, I hope you have a blast!! Is either model in the game? If so I’d chose that one so I could compare the real one to GT afterwards. :cheers:
 
It's a track on an unused part of an airport tarmac. So, basically flat but they offer different kind of experiences. Mustang gt, supercars, go karts, helicopter ride. The track is 2 km long and you get to ride 2 or 4 laps or half day lessons and all.

If you want to check it out ....ICAR, Mirabel, Quebec.

I just joined a lobby with 2 accounts :lol:
I completed a race with CaptainSlow34 (Account A) and then decided that I wanted to start from the back in the next race. So I switched to Baka_Marimo (Account B) and quickly joined Race C again. This is what the loading screen showed:

Question about daily C. Why aren't we allowed to adjust amount of fuel in tank? Make that race more interesting for a day...coz we'd be here checking...lol
