Race A - One Make at Tokyo East Outer Loop in the A110
Race B - Gr4 at Monza
Race C - Gr3 at Blue Moon Infield A II

GR4 at Monza was a lot of fun last time, and the new Blue Moon layout reversed might be interesting. The daily races have been much better lately as far as track selection. Much much better than the last few weeks had been.

Yup, definitely going to try the infield again. GR.4 on Monza should be much better than the Vulcan as well.

Daily C got a little grumpy in the end, lost 7 SR on 3 contacts in the race before last, 7 sec total. I made it back again next race, although still 2 contacts with 5 sec penalty total. It was fun competitive racing despite the unnecessary penalties.

It’s a lost cause, I give up.

Gr4 at Monza just feels slow to cover those straights that I fear my finger won’t make the entire race on full gas bar when you get penalties for touching the curb... :irked:

Sorry for asking here, but is there going to be a maintenance today? A few hours ago I got a popup but now I don't seem to have it.

It was a short one, no clue what it did but it was back up half an hour later. I didn't notice any differences racing after.

Raced on Yamagiwa last night. Qualified with time of 1.40.2. Had 4 clean races and gained 3500 Dr points. Currently racing as Dr a/ s.
I've seen you in the green Viper, right? I think I passed you after you were a little too optimistic with overtaking that blue M4 :nervous:
But maybe I'm mixing things up now but I def saw you :gtpflag:

Wish I could set a time that quick I’m stuck on 1:41.967
1:41.389, I can get some tenths back with a perfect lap but I can't imagine how people can run a 1:39.xxx....

Yeah it's definently a problem. But how do you distinguish between accidental disconnection and purposeful hard shutdowns?
don't know how, but the info you have never started the race should be somewhere, I can't believe it has to be managed this way.. 2 or 3 days to gain 5000/6000 points, one unwanted disconnection to lose 2000 DR points. It's a no sense. Despite of this, I get back to DR.A SR.S last night, thanks to Yama and my 458 that seemed more stable and fst than ever!

Drive the hairpin in 3rd gear and the final turn in 4th, enter a bit slower and then hit the throttle very early

EDIT: T1 in 5, esses full throttle, next one 5/6, slow chicane 4, hairpin 3, next chicane 4 and final turn also 4. that got me a quite decent lap. Might shift into 3 in the chicane and the last sector for NA cars
M4 gear selection, isn't it?

Yes.

Would love to know how to lose a whole second and a half, feel like I’m absolutely punishing the car coming out of turns, every once in a while I get a glimpse of my ghost in the rear view where I’ve cornered better but he always gets me in the end, pesky bastard

I often set my best time with no ghost... although it is useful to see where you lose or gain time, sometimes "racing" against your ghost distracts you from following correct lines and braking points which are what get you a good time.

You using the M4? Try the TT. I cannot for the life of me get a decent lap with the M4 (OK for race but not hotlap) but as soon as I use the TT - new fastest.

Having said that, driving the TT feels like a visit to an accountant in a 1970s era, brutalist architecture office building.

Gr. 4 I always use the Citroen GT, especially in tyre wear races... it's not the quickest (set a 1.41.7) but it's low centre of gravity and wide tyres are great for stability and traction. Managed 6 laps before pitting. M4s were catching me on the straights but I was regaining through turns. Only had time for one race, started 12th and finished 6th :)

@Nuschel01 you don't hang around

:gtpflag: saw you last night dude (@mk1xr2). Started one place ahead of you in the 19:30 race.. dark blue Citroen with white stripes. The Greek guy in the light blue M4 who was a bit chaotic I think cause oyu some problems after I went past him. I said 'see you again' (meaning I will see you here today) after the race and you started apologising saying you were sorry and had nowhere to go, didn't mean to etc. I was like wtf  I had no contact at all and got a clean race (streak up to 5 now) 👍. Was a nice race overall... I'm not the quickest on Yama but went from 12th to 6th through consistency and not making any mistakes/going off track/getting penalties. I struggle with the Right, Left before the last hairpain... in qualifying I can get through there with pace 1/10 times but the other 9 either hit the outside wall, or get a penalty for cutting. The only way I found to go through safely was to just slow down after the right hander and take it moderately.

Yes I was racing with a Green Viper last night - the only incident I had was on the chicane where I caught up on the inside going down the hill, decided there was no room and slowed, but unfortunately I caught the back of his car. I think I got a 5 second penalty which I slowed for after the next hairpin.

Yeah the M4 then crashed into me resulting in a penalty for me :ouch:

I will add you in a mo. I got rear ended and pushed into a couple of cars at the same time thought it might of been that. Not my best track. Tried a couple of cars and I was quickest in the 86 never used it before but I think it did alright.

Thanks. But I assume gear ratios may be deferent for each car? I have the feeling that I loose time on the slow(er) chicane after the the downhill section. It is difficult to find the proper braking point and turn in speed, and not slide too much or leave the track and get penalized ;)

There's a gap indicator near the bottom of the screen that is extremely useful to me. It gauges your position against your best lap of the session and changes between red and blue based on whether you are gaining or losing time at any given instant. I glance at it before and after corners.

I drive with chase cam, so I'm not sure where it would show up in other views.

Which Gr.4 car has decent tire wear for Yami today? I got a pole using my TT Cup but was ran down by a Lambo in the last two laps as my tires were fading fast and finished 2nd.

I was practicing for quite long before decided to race the TT (I tried almost every GT4 car I have). Started 3rd with 1:41.6, in the pole there was a Megane, 2nd a Huracan. I think most wear to the front tyres is in the long lefthanders . But I could keep pretty consistent laptimes, only made onn mistake at the last chicane, it cost me 2sec penalty, so finished only 4th.
Otherwise it was a very clean race, no extreme fight, even on the first lap it was OK, I was really surprised (probably lower down the field it was a bit different). Anyway, got also back 35 SR points:gtpflag:

Yep, but even this can distract you when it turns red and you then try and push harder to get it to go blue again...

I use chase cam too :) annoyingly the colour of your car often determines if you can see the numbers or not

Tried out the Aston at Race B today since it seems like it's today's meta car (I swear last Monza Gr. 4 daily the M4 was meta, and no BoP changes either) and it's UNDERSTEERFOR DAYZZZZZZZ

Got a 1:56.8xx which got me a qualifying of 5th. Quite frankly, the last time this happened to me was back in December or Jaunary, so it really shocked me

Have you joined the „play with sound“ masterrace now? :D

That tiny little indicator pisses me off so much that I always set my best time on Lap 1
If we had the option to remove that though I have no problem running tens of laps in one sitting

 I do find it useful for checking whether to take a corner slow and exit fast or try to maintain speed though.

This

 no... last night wife was doing something else anyway (shopping on Amazon ) so had sound on :)

@Alpha Cipher Vantage was the last META on Monza... on the weekend I believe? Wow... actually it was the weekend before... 25th Feb. How quickly time flies

You dont hear that everyday!
It happened to me once that the DS4 battery depleted when I was in p2, battling hard for the lead. The car went into autopilot, I probably got world record time in swapping controllers, but still fell back miserably
Not a single nice word followed afterwards...

Did 3 races after setting a Q time. 1st with the M4, saw @bmxmitch but never actually raced him as he was a bit behind me and came 5th iirc.

That was my first and only race in the last few days. I thought I'll try the new Penalty system another time, but never actually had a real fight to test it. The Spanish guys in front of me took themselves out one by one
Ended up with a clean race bonus and gained 5 positions. But I nearly crashed in one guy who thought he could just lift of the gas on the racing line.
And I watched the replay, you really had one idiot in front of you.:scared: Breaking while exiting the chicane? Damn, I hate these people.
The penalty system should really acknowledge such behavior, but instead, it gives penalties for the poor guys who bump in their rear without any chances...

Not sure if I should try Monza today because of that! And reverse Blue Moon? Damn :scared:

Haha, each to their own I guess :p I like to do mine manually and check my exit speed each corner

And really? Vantage was also the meta last time? I remembered 4 M4s at the leaderboards back then, maybe I'm missing something :dunce:
(And yes time does fly...)

Updated my time to a 1:56.394, .074 seconds away from Top 10 only ;)
Only to be matched against someone from there ; ' )

I didn't save it, didn't want to make myself watch that again  He acused me of blocking him in the race before to maybe that's why he did it?

Hell no, miss me with that. Might do some lobby racing then if I find a decent one
