Gutted

From almost 3/4th DR A to instant DR B now :(

Had bad 3 races at Monza. SR dropped to C and there goes DR. Some were unavoidable but some could have been avoided.

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Today I was the idiot at the monza chicane, took out another driver when I totally misjudged the breaking point.
I was close to his car so i went right so I could see the chicane and brake without hitting anyone.. Yeah right old man..
That was a perfect bowling strike..

Afterwards it seemed like he didn't want to race (I couldn't blame him). And I managed to take him out once more when he picked up speed again..

Parked the car and let him pass, send him an embarrassing I am sorry message...

And got my first red S since day 1 on 1.13

As if that wasn't enough I hurt my thumb, and since I use the right analog stick for acceleration and braking I had real pain when I drove race c (this video games racing is serious physical business!). So I had to change to the standard setup.. Did a test at the 24H Nordschliefe and got comfortable down to 6:48. I guess something did come out positive from today..

Next up:
A A110 Lago Magiorre center reverse 8 laps
B WRX STI Isle of man time attack car Mount Panorama 4 laps
C GR.1 Lago Magiorre GP 10 laps

Bluemoon was pretty good tonight. I fell in a kind of no man's land though, behind the aliens, in front of the pack. Over take a couple of cars at the start and then drive alone watching the time gap grow. Earlier races were a bit more exciting, yet the track itself is not bad to run around once you get in the zone. It was very easy on SR, rare to see a red rating even though lap 1 and sometimes 2 were chaos.

I've been waiting for this :mischievous:
Edit: Now that I know about the situation of Race B allowing upgrades without prior notification, I like to reiterate my statement:
NOPE

Yesterday I wasn't able to race bcs my ISP had some problems and works.

I'll try to get some race today then...

Edit:

Dutch guy did some nice work to start my race in good mood...
No sense in further racing when parried with similar dirty racers.

And I had late braking and I choose sand, not other car!

Race A this morning before work. Running third to start catch 2nd and 1st before end of lap 1. In final turn overtaking 2nd on the outside instead of maintaining his line he goes high and runs me off the course slamming into the wall.

Lap 6/8 running second going into wide turns before final turn 3rd place a different driver passes me on the first wide turn. I pass him on the second and heading towards the final turn he slams into the side of me running me this time off course on the inside of the turn in the grass.

I accure 4 seconds of penalties. 1 sec for contact and 3 for hitting the grass I assume? He finishes with no penalties. I NEED PD to fix this. All the joy from trying to run a winning race is being sucked out of this game. If I want to get my SR back to S and sacrifice my DR just to do so? It just doesn't make me want to play the game. I shouldnt have to be a pace car to earn SR.

Hardly any incidents on Bluemoon but this part made my wife laugh

Nice race you got there. It shows my internet was fine at the time, yet I think it was definitely my side that was crapping out.

Yesterday the new penalty system helped me to win :O , from 10th to 1st :dopey:
... i was 4th on the finish line but the drivers in front of me were all penalized ..

Wow no F1500 T-A event for practice..

Tomorrow’s FIA should be fun

It also seems penalties have been dialed back to almost zero on the daily C. Plenty contact in the first few laps and only in one race someone finally managed to give me 1 sec penalty. There also don't seem to be any track limits and wall bounces are free. Cut it as sharp as you can.

I had a bit of a mare under the bridge in my first race on lap 1, in a pack of about 4 cars I got hit from behind, hit someone in front, bounced into another before finally getting free... ended up with 11.7 seconds of penalties in total

ABSOLUTELY buzzing for tonight's race A!! The last Maggiore Centre N300 race I got the 26th best time in the UK... top 1.25% :).

And really got on well with the A110 on Tuesday night at Suzuka... happy with 3.42%

Monza is one of my favorite races. Monza is also killing my SR rating. And other drivers on Monza are killing my overall Sport experience. I love to get on and find a good clean race. I was able to have one although I missed the bonus. After that one good race I had a handful of just terribly bad races involving dive bombers and a few individuals who can't stand to be overtaken so they block and attempt to wreck you at every turn. I just can't believe that these people are able to obtain anywhere from a B-S rating in SR and yet drive like they do on some of these tracks.

On most I'm starting out in the back of the grid and working my way to top 5 finishes but I'm watching my SR drop due to the new penalty system and people taking advantage of the touchy mechanics that come with it. I would really love to just get on and enjoy this game and feel like I'm accomplishing something in Sport mode but, alas I feel like all I'm doing is balancing two ratings that aren't high enough to get clean races for either of them.

If Sport mode is viewed as the "career" mode that your ratings are based off of? Why would I spend time in lobbies playing "casual" matches that don't gain me anything? This game is becoming ever so closer to being trade in fodder to the Gamestop Gods for an MMO or something else. I can't stand to be so disappointed with what little gaming time I have during the day.

Yah.. yesterday my experience on Monza was more or less like your´s.. or even worse...

2 races... st started 2nd finished 12th!! and less 28 SR POINTS!!!, 2nd started on 7th finished 11º and got less 15 sr points... A TRUE GRAVEYARD... pushed out of track by sideways punting on straights, curves... it´s lie every goes... for some idiots..and stuff like that.. :( Before Monza I was SR B... noe.. I´m Sr E!!!! And 1 sr point total.. NICE!!!!!!!!!!!!! :banghead:

Those Tokyo races in the Alpine are something else, the cars seem able to pick up a strong tow from almost 2 seconds back and that massive straight means that there are normally at least 5 cars right together into the turn 1 braking zone (which is apparently optional), the races are unbelievably dirty but if you don't mind about your SR they're actually quite good fun.
I had a very bad taste of that... last 28th of February.....with the Nissan ... simply the track was shorter... (East Outer Loop)
:(

Think I might put in a bit of effort on the mountain today, got to learn it at some point plus the tt wrx is a fun thing to chuck about

why do you all keep racing on Monza if you know you're doomed SR wise? this is borderline masochistic ^^

I´ve just tried it yesterday for the 1st.. time.. and probably the last...

I only will go there back, if the challenge is to drive a slower car (N200 probably)... or the penalization system change to much better.., or... when I´ll be DR A... with SR S... :(

Yikes!

I never race Monza... after the day it came out and my disaster that day... never again.

Mate, just try to do couple of races (Daily C is best) to get SR - you almost DR S. You have just under 50K driver points due to getting reset from going SR A to SR C.

Your last two day profile:

94 49255 B 34 C
93 42268 A 66 A

So, turn it into a win!

Sure to see you on Daily A though?

I will be on the daily a race once in happy with b or get to angry with it

This is is what I don’t get. Check out the top 1 replay of maggiore today, the corner cutting is absolutely outrageous, clip a tiny bit of astro or concrete on Monza though? 5 second penalty.

Yeah it is ridiculous, you should be able to use the curbstones (that's why they are there). Monza is just ****.

Edit: did you power up the BHP and reduce the weight?

No I just checked that, 3% increase And a 7% reduction probably not going to help me much, unless everyone else goes the other way with the power and weight

Can you do transmission tuning too? or just weight and power?
