And yes, the Gr.4 McLaren is really a sadly slow car. But the Gr.3 version is pretty decent, even though I rarely use it.
But I'm curious if more people jump on the car now, because it made Pole on the leaderboards ;)

For me the Gr. 3 is lovely to drive, and it feels fast, even though lap times say otherwise (I'm on average a second behind my own laptimes in an M6)
Doesn't stop me from using it all the time at lobbies though (And maybe on Sport mode when I get enough cash to buy it)

I'd love to see more 650S on the leaderboards!

And I would love to see @TRL LIGHTNING or @nord_clane make the Top10 in the Gr.3 Huracan. That sounds like a real challenge :p

On the main account I do (3 actually, I never deleted the dupes)
My sub account was made literally 2 hours ago so no munny :P

How about they do it in a Beetle? And then everyone would follow suit and before you know it the lobby meta car is now the actual meta :lol:

The Beetle with no BoP is actually insane... I went in a lobby last weekend with BoP off and it was literally crazy :lol: TCS on 2 and it spins all over the place driving in a straight line... on the home straight at Interlagos I am hitting the limiter in 6th before even reaching the finish line :lol:

Oh yeah the Beetle's super twitchy! Good tunes could make it pretty good, though BoP kills it pretty much :P

Also it has 7 gears maybe you're not using that last gear :P
 
Done my dailies on USA account, race quite clean ( cleaner than my iRacing GT3 experience ). Bought 2 more cheap logitech webcam for steering and pedal view.

I blew of the cobwebs yesterday and got a day on the daily races. Lots of fun had and some good battles! Mainly on the Alpine combo.

Had a very frustrating FIA race last night... did the Manufacturers but forgot I had picked BMW on Sunday. Really not a fan of the M6 (always use the Lexus nowadays :))... anyway, did some practice and got a 1.08.5 which I was content with (top 10 were 1.06.5ish). However, the track is really difficult to qualify on with 19 other cars! There is no space to get a clear run without encountering another driver who has stopped on track to create themselves a gap, or slow drivers or complete idiots (1. guy driving slowly with hazards on - ok great, you are making space for yourself that's fantastic and cheers for the hazards warning me what you are doing but WHY THE **** ARE YOU ON the racing line and not moving aside? 🤬. 2. guy blocking me and then bumping me as I pass! In QUALIFYING!). Ended up with a a **** 1.09.5ish and started 15th. 20 cars all starting on the oval, T1 and T2 are fine, T3 is ok, T4 is ok, T5 (hairpin under the bridge) is chaos. I give space to the cars in front, brake a little early to prevent an accident and then 3 guys behind me see this is a perfect overtaking opportunity. Seriously what is wrong with people not knowing that you can't do this? I am not braking because I'm slow, I'm braking because there are people in front of me and we are on lap 1 of a 20 lap race... Of course, there is a collision and I get 5 seconds penalty :). Anyway, finished about 14th in the end... very frustrating.

Edit: for some reason I really had a problem with Impreza drivers last night in qualifying and in the race. Also, a German guy summed up my thoughts by saying 'still so many idiots' in the post race chat.

In other news... matchmaking was a bit harsh... as a very low A, if I get matched with 80% B and 20% A, unless I win I am almost guaranteed to lose points. First race in the Alpine I was matched with mostly B and a few A, lost couple of hundred points for a 7th place finish. Second race in the Alpine I was matched with all A and gained 50ish points for finishing 7th. In fairness it was probably my fault for not doing more qualifying, but I had done 40 minutes and wanted to enter the 1940 race to make the 2010 Manufacturers race... optimal was 58.3 but I couldn't get a better qualifying time than 58.8.

Anyway, still A (just) and wobbling around between 31500 and 32500. Hope the racing gods are good over the weekend and I can get clear of the precipice!

You're low A and you don't get thrown in with S drivers? Don't you get within a second of the top ten?

I'm high B and half my races usually feature 1 S driver! This is so unfair!

Also didn't they have the same B and C like two days ago? I want to see Gr3/4 at suzuka or lagos

Not recently, I wish I did as I'd have a chance of winning some points! As I said: first race in the Alpine was in with mostly Bs and 2 or 3 As, 2nd race all As (Q time was the same for both races, 53.8 - top was 52.4-52.6 I think?). The FIA race was mostly Bs and a few As.

A while back when I had a whole Saturday free, I raced the TTS on Brands Indy and was mixed with all sorts from D to S! Since then I've been a high B, matched with mostly the same plus a few As and now I am one of the low As that gets matched with the high Bs :lol: as I said... I need to break clear of this border that I'm stuck on. I have had other races with say 3 S, 10 A and then just 7 B...

I don't know whether it's due to the range of 27000-32000 being quite a big percentage in the region, or perhaps it's something to do with SR? I'm a solid 99 for the past couple of weeks now. No idea though... just down to the matchmaking system. It seems to change or move your group based on recent results... As I said on your thread yesterday, I have had consecutive wins before, then been regrouped with higher ranks.

It's actually a good circuit for the mid-power N cars... had some really good races in the R34 there a couple of weeks back. Pug 208.. not so much fun.
 
Went in one race B at Dragon Trail from SR99 to 68 and lost over 3.000 DR points:ouch:
Although I caused one crash because I braked too late for the first chicane, the other penalties were absolutely rubbish. The bus-stop chicane is a SR killer.

Absolutely true! Full respect should go to Mark Higgins for making that exceptional run at Man TT. I was totally amazed when watched his video back then but only now can understand what a manly fight it was.
Yesterday I could tackle Bathurst only at 2:10.1, not quicker (ideally it could have been 2:08.2, but I was to tired to push more), so with limited practice had a rather exhausting race. Definitely must give it way more chance next time.
Btw, what center diff settings worked for you guys? I ran mostly at 35:65
 
As much as I love Dragon Trail I‘ll stay away from it today, do the FIA Nations race and then take out my real car for a drive :lol:

Dragon Trail and Monza are just off my list for good now :lol: Tonight for me, I think Brands Hatch :)

What car? 911 RSR, M6 Walkenhorst, Beetle GSR, Vantage? Samba? ;)

Hm ok that's very strange and confuses me even more. :odd:
I don't know if I did something 'wrong' but I didn't stop the upload of my best laptime intentionally. I thought that it might be possible that you can not watch your own laptime if you're in the top10 but you just confirmed the opposite.

If you're not on the top 10 and you didn't save your lap, you can't watch it. I was referring to top10 lap times only. :)
 
Can't tell how I dislike this tendency: whining about the idiots, the matchmaking, and everything else, _while_ using multiple accounts (I know, I know, I've seen all the good reasons and explanations, why), trying to turn the other side of the kerbs, learning all the glitches of the tracks, cars, interface, etc - so (ab)using the system to own advantage.
When a title like this comes out, everyone is speaking about if it is a simulator or just a game. Then here we are, and making a dumb arcade child-game out of this title. It is us, the user base, not the title.
