Had SR "glitch" and got lucky in a couple of races against some SR B and A drivers on my way back to S, so now I am living on Earth but playing on the Mars servers...

Absolutely true! Full respect should go to Mark Higgins for making that exceptional run at Man TT. I was totally amazed when watched his video back then but only now can understand what a manly fight it was.
Yesterday I could tackle Bathurst only at 2:10.1, not quicker (ideally it could have been 2:08.2, but I was to tired to push more), so with limited practice had a rather exhausting race. Definitely must give it way more chance next time.
Btw, what center diff settings worked for you guys? I ran mostly at 35:65

I managed a high 2:05 in the end, however could barely made 2:06 during the race, usually 2:07 or 2:08. I kept getting matched with 2:02 drivers on pole, but managed one win when the driver up front was a phony. (he had used the reset glitch to get to DR.S, was driving like a DR.B and could not hold on)

I ran with stock settings, DS4 and kept forgetting to dial TCS back which hurt. It seemed my car was always accelerating slower than the cars up front, maybe also since I'm lazy and use automatic transmission which hurt in the twisty section. Some of the fast drivers through the car almost sideways through the twisty section, I could not pull that off, never really got confident with it. Most of the races turned into pinball fests, it was hard to stay clear of that.

The track car combo was very unpopular yesterday, explains why I kept seeing the same people.

GRX 3,990 19 -85 -4.393 -17,53
Less than 4000 entries, -4.4 SR lost per player per race on average.
I lost an average of 1.3 per race, ended at SR 80 (started at 99, dropped to 52 in one race where I got hit 6 times)

Actually the site might have missed some races, 4000 seems very low, yet I doubt it would raise the average much.
GR.X on Mount Panorama is rivaling Monza for biggest SR graveyard. GR.3 on Dragontrail is a net loss SR track as well, beware!
Brand's Hatch GR.3 is one of the best performers for SR gain, lose it on Dragontrail, gain it back on the hatch.

Anyone tried the Pantera race yet?

I gave it a few runs this morning. The car understeers more than I would like, but after managing the way it rotates I was able to get 2 wins and run a 1:28.3XX. I can definitely get into the 1:27s with a few more runs. It’s a fun car and track combo for the most part but the 5 laps made the races pretty monotonous.

Don't know what's happening today but it can do one. I'm a D, sometimes C rated drivers and I'm not exactly fast or consistent yet all the races I'm doing at Brands keeps mixing me with A and S drivers who are at least 4 seconds a lap quicker. Not only is the penalty system messed up but now it seems the matching system is.

What's your SR? If you have a low S SR, that tends to happen yeah

Had two nice Gr.4 races on brands today, chosen to drive the little Toyota (loves corners, not thirsty and still good on old tires)
Qualified 14th twice, and finished 6th and 8th, banking about 1100 dr point, love it!

First race I did pit, but just to take a drop of fuel, second race, fuel map 3/4 for a couple laps, and then back to 1, no pits stop.

The 86 is the Evo Lancer Gr3 of the Gr4 class. Those two cars flies around corners.

No, no, no. Toyota is horrible! Don't drive it. 💡 The NSX and Veyron are much better. Drive those. Yeah and umm, well, if you do drive the Toyota, don't trail brake into turn 2, it kills your lap time. :scared: And uh, let's see, since it's RWD, it's really twitchy and hard to drive. :nervous: Definitely need to turn up the TCS and probably use ASM as well.

You dont have it yet? Such a beauty. It was one of the first cars I bought :)

And I would love to see @TRL LIGHTNING or @nord_clane make the Top10 in the Gr.3 Huracan. That sounds like a real challenge :p

You're right, that's a real challenge, especially on Dragontrail :-D

I'm using my smurf account at the moment and did a 1:36.469 with the M6, currently world rank 11, @ferrari312t is .150 clear of me :-)

The problem with dragon trail is, that you got to ride the curbs in a very special way, which is not easy to replicate, especially in the fast Esses in the second sector. Getting a "perfect" lap is really hard, you have to have a bit of luck at the curbs...

Considering that, doing a top10 time in the huracan with tough competiton is really hard :-D

Holy mother what an absolute carnage of ramming tonight on manufacturers and B, Sr.S is definitely toooo easy to get.. Cars flying everywhere, rocket ramming from behind, mid-straight braking, holy moly.

Went from S to A in 2 races, got shoved off from 3rd and 5th to the back of the line , spiced with some nasty penalties I had nothing to do with.
Oh dear..

Lol, how did you gues my setup hahaha

I believe an RR car currently holds the track record for a production car around the Nurburgring, driven by a complete badass
which car? isn't it the performante?

Edit:
Wiki says its the Porsche 911 GT2 RS (991.2) with a 6:47.25

Very quick time in the Alpine, too! Saw you apologise for outbraking yourself and hitting the German guy in the 2105

Not recently, I wish I did as I'd have a chance of winning some points! As I said: first race in the Alpine was in with mostly Bs and 2 or 3 As, 2nd race all As (Q time was the same for both races, 53.8 - top was 52.4-52.6 I think?). The FIA race was mostly Bs and a few As.

A while back when I had a whole Saturday free, I raced the TTS on Brands Indy and was mixed with all sorts from D to S! Since then I've been a high B, matched with mostly the same plus a few As and now I am one of the low As that gets matched with the high Bs  as I said... I need to break clear of this border that I'm stuck on. I have had other races with say 3 S, 10 A and then just 7 B...

I don't know whether it's due to the range of 27000-32000 being quite a big percentage in the region, or perhaps it's something to do with SR? I'm a solid 99 for the past couple of weeks now. No idea though... just down to the matchmaking system. It seems to change or move your group based on recent results... As I said on your thread yesterday, I have had consecutive wins before, then been regrouped with higher ranks.

I'm within 3ish seconds of the top times at lagos, and this is my matchmaking :(

Edit, crappy pic. All on right side are Dr B I believe. Will update with quali pic in a few

Update: Qual wasn't as good as practice due to wear and some traffic, but the field is a bit split. Large gap between 12th and 13th. Most of us Bs are at the back. I think it's be a much tighter field and a better race if the DRS were closer

3 dismal races last night. Made worse by dumb drivers and idiotic penalties. First race I did was Race B, where I started first in my Mazda 6. No problems getting of the line, but an idiot Mustang driver rammed me off the track at turn 2. He didn't even get a penalty. His SR was S...:scared:
Tried the Pantera one make at the Willow, started fourth but made a dumb error at turn 6, going wide and completely missing the apex. Fair enough, but when I made the small error coming onto the back straight, going off the track a little. Bumped into someone whilst rejoining, and got a penalty. 10 SECONDS FFS. WHY? He didn't go off the track when I hit him... I thought the shenanigans were over, but no. They weren't. Tried the Brands Hatch race in my M4, got to third by lap 2. Stayed there far a while, keeping an 86 behind me but when he made contact with me, I got penalised. So did he, but what did I do wrong? I had a 3 second penalty, which I partly served before entering the pits. When I came out, I still had 0.161 seconds left to serve. I slowed down for a little bit, but the penalty still stood. Tried slowing down again. Penalty still stood. It wasn't until I scrubbed off a decent amount of speed that the penalty was served. At that time, I was 2.5 seconds behind 3rd place. I gained some time, but I screwed up the first corner after taking back 2 seconds. Oops. I must've gone off the track again, because I came across the line with a 3 second penalty. Dropping to 8th. Worst day I've ever had with penalties.

Thats the one thing that really bugs me about the penalties, you slow down to serve the penalty so it costs you minimum time but it doesn't go, the game expects you to come to a grinding halt but then you lose far more than the amount you're penalised for.

If anyone is interested here is my latest upload from yesterdays Race C at Maggiore, if you aren't that bothered do me a favour and skip to 6:20 for a hilarious heads gone moment from another driver.

Dr S and Dr D drivers in the same room. This matchmaking is the worst...

Had a couple of great races at Brands. Won 1 and lost 1, but both were really good clean driving

I was in that race with you, the one you won - looks like it was a great race, nice win :)

You should show the HUD etc on your replays next time, so we can see your inputs - that's the interesting part!

The Pantera race was fun. Finished 2nd in my first try. I don’t know how everyone else feels, but it pairs pretty well with Big Willow.

Yep, I know. The 911 GT2 if I remember correctly
Not to mention the 911 GT3 RS we have in this game is pretty OP

But that doesn't stop it from being so deadly (compared to the other layouts) :sly:

Rats, didn't get a chance to get into that FIA nations F1500T-A race today, hope the one make F1500T-A comes around again.

The F1500 FIA race was pretty fun. A bit chaotic in the first few laps yet I walked away with only 3 SR loss for 7 contacts (with penalties ranging from 1 to 4 sec) and 1 evasive action taking a shortcut penalty of 3.5 sec. Most were racing incidents with little harm. Most dangerous were cars slowing down serving penalties then speeding up again not knowing when they go solid.

Sucks you can only do the FIA race once. By the end I was much better with the car, I guess I should have practiced more than 5 minutes. I finished 12th (lost a place at the finish line, still had +4 sec penalty) after qualifying last. I got out the pit late so I had clear road during the 10 minute qualifier to learn how to drive the car :)

Back to Brand's hatch. Always be on the lookout for the pit exit!

Gr3 on dragon trail was fun today. Hopefully they have gr3 with a good track for tommorow

Agree, the Gr.3 is a favorite for me.
It was nice an clean on Dragon Trail so far. I have done 3 races so far.

So the next daily for Race C is Gr. 3 at BB Raceway... :grumpy:

Seriously who comes up with these events?! You couldn't have drawn up a worse combo than that..
