Anyone get a CRB star on Seaside this week?

One race yesterday, one today, I was penalty and warning free, stayed on track, etc... but no bonus. Not mad. Just wondering if I'm missing something.

I got one when PD's incredible matchmaking put me in a lobby of C/D drivers, the fastest of which was a second a lap slower in Quali.

Other than that, slight contacts in more competitive lobbies have meant it's the only one this week.

Been going really well on race c all week until today where I've lost 4K Dr in as many races :banghead::banghead:

Ouch.

Ouch.
I know, hopefully just an off day

After my final race last night on Race C in the NSX with 1 stop being a triumphant rise from 15th to 5th, I didn't think I could top it... but nope, right now just did a 17th to 3rd, my most places gained ever (and everyone who started finished, which is rare), thanks in part to the two ahead of me taking each other out on lap 9 to get me up to 4th at that point. For that I gained just 4 SR (a few bumps in the braking zone because my NSX has a longer stopping distance) and 1224 DR, wooo! Highest my DR has ever been now!
I'll miss this Race C when it goes.

Had 2 races at DTS in the Jag as always.....And.............

At last!!!!! My first win of the week!! Another fun race, started 4th, ran 2nd until the end of lap 4 when I pitted for tyres and rubber. Came out 8th....A lap later the leader from when I pitted came out behind me (a nice undercut there), and then did a nice cheeky little move on the 2 Lambos to get first place, 2 wheels on the grass and everything lol, and then pull away for 3 second win! ;)

A little video of the race deciding move!

Then in the second race, started 4th again, the same strategy, and was catching the leader hand over fist at the end...Another lap and I would've snatched it I think, great fun as ever!!

I'll be on later from about 8pm BST if anyone's around from some more Race C action!

Well, no more at DTS for me. Sarah wants to go to the new fancy restaurant on the island, on Monday. So I'm crashing at her place for the rest of the weekend.

It's been a good week. An initial drop of 3k SR, followed by regaining it, and another 5k. Three wins, a couple of podiums, and another handful of top five finishes.

Roll on Interlagos, next week.

CRB means no orange SR down indicator, you might have missed one. I've had one CRB this week, the whole field murdered each other behind me and two others. The two leaders had too much pace for me. Lonely 3rd place and a massive SR boost

Long week been a few days since ive raced but im ready to rip today. I bought project cars 2 deluxe since it was 75% off. Will have to try it later. Excited to get back to maggiore and tsukuba for a day.

Damn, I should have looked in the PS Store longer. I pre-ordered Wreckfest. Which is stupid since GT Sport has become that very game. I'll have video later. :irked:

People who play on wifi in general should be segregated into their own races.

I play on WiFi. I typically have a good connection, but I'm used to seeing 1 red bar & the car doing the on-track shuffle.

Keep in mind it's the weekend :scared:, and the GTSport crash kiddies are probably out in full force .

They are indeed. And I think I fell into their trap earlier. I'll have video up later. :irked:

Clips of action in this week Dragon Trail Seaside races.

And that video is the reason why I have avoided DT all week. I know people will push through the chicane when they should just wait. I decided to go to Race A for the first time in a long time, possibly ever.

Gentlemen... I've gone and bloody done it! Despite the stupid penalty from a guy turning into and running off track into the first chicane(SR drop again:banghead: but DR up to 25k now)

Good quali, FM2 and half shifts, let people past if they really wanted to because they would be pitting, tyres seem to be good with this car, thanks to @Bivittavus88 for the suggestion despite my lack of fun comments, as soon as someone else adopted the same strategy it was brilliant!!! Surprisingly the fight for the lead was with a Cayman no stopping

So here's the other race I had yesterday. Probably my favourite Daily C from the past race. Was a chess match between the three of us throughout most of the race with a really close finish. Looking back I definitely could have made some other decision but that's hindsight for you. Still just a really good race in terms of the racing.

Hi Alex, that was a great race, I think I was overrevving the Cayman too much because I had to drop to fm4 at points. After you beat me in the NSX I switched to that for a race, unfortunately punted off at the top of the track but seems much better suited to short shifting! Will try a few races with it tomorrow...

You must have been laughing your ass off when his 2 second penalty popped up.
I did have a little chortle - must be said! Was my first 'proper' win this week too, the other was in a bit of a mixed lobby where I only had to keep it clean (still managed to drive off the track on L1 though!).

In all honesty I'd have preferred a drag race to the line rather than that tomfoolery. Hate it when people see fit to drive you off the track

Really enjoyed race C this week. Played on my second account which I use to hone race craft and start at back of grid.

Started week off using the Citreon starting last, did 4 races and finished 2nd each time on bumper of the winner. Easy enough to no stop this car with short shifting, handles well, tyres are great. A good choice.

Moved onto the Mustang and tried a no stop for the giggles as this car is not known for fuel saving. Was upto 5th by lap 8 but also short of a lap on fuel. Ended up lapping in the 1.53s just to get it round and finished 13th. Redeemed the mustang's blushes by doing a quick qauli lap and in next race 1 stopping for a 2nd place finish.

Next up tried the Nissan GTR. First race I tried 1 stopping but as nice as the GTR feels to drive it's not quick round this track and so finished way down the order in 13th, not helped by a field that mostly no stopped. Next race I no stopped and found this car much better suited to that strat as was just as quick short shifting as when pushing. Took a 2nd for the GTR.

Cracked out the Corvette c7 next. A quick test showed no stop was pointless. By now my DR was putting me in higher splits and the meta cars and strats were becoming the norm so my 1 stop effort which I really had no choice seen me finish pretty low. However great car to drive and it blew past people effortlessly during the early laps.

A race each in the Ferrari 458 and the Merc SLS found both to be comfortable and competitive at the no stop, the sls in particularly able to lap quickly whilst short shifting.

Ok so by now I was being pitted against the fastest players currently playing so using niche cars was becoming a bigger disadvantage. So put in a sensible qualifying time and tried the Lexus and yeah no wonder its popular. Good on fuel and a rocket shop on the straights. Quickly picked up first win and regular podiums.

So today I really should try the jaguar and the nsx, watched a vid of the nsx and seems you can rev it pretty high and still save fuel

I think qualifying is pretty key to the no stop, if you want to win the race starting first and gradually letting people by and using their slipstream for as much as possible is pretty unbeatable, whereas if you start in the middle (a) there's a much higher risk of getting punted off and (b) you're not holding up the leaders so they're getting further and further down the road.

Try the McLaren 650S Gr4 and let me know how you go. Would like some second opinions and we can compare notes later.

I used it all weekend for a handful of wins (and about 6000 DR) while 1-stopping which was a lot of fun. Best race time was an 18:13.

I bought AC ultimate for 20 bucks a few months ago instead of pc2. 50 seems like it should be the regular price.

Even better! Have you been playing that all? What’s good to do in that game? I tried a few races the other day when I got it but I wasn’t really sure what parts of the game were best? There seems to be a ton of Time Trials.
