My first podium finish in Europe. I'd like to thank the Brit who tried to take out the German for the win, but instead gave himself a 4 second penalty, allowing me to go from 3rd to 2nd.

My guesses:
1:30 - 1:32 for Interlagos,
2:08 - 2:10 for Suzuka

That's like "alien" time right?

I got the NSX down to 2:13. I think I'm being way too conservative around that final chicane.

Well, this was the best race of the week for me. It was a nail-biter all the way to the end. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm going to take out this smash mouth driving on some cars in Wreckfest.

Here's a great example of lag, and it's effects on the track. @Sven Jurgens I found the replay of the incident we were talking about a while back.
In the first clip, you'll see that the game thinks the purple car went off the track. Then when it realized it's mistake, it accelerated him at about 9,000 mph to the spot where he actually was.

Here's a view from the guy next to me, who avoided the hit.

Here's what it looked like from my car.

This is what it looked like for the guy in second place, who obviously had no idea what was going on behind him, and appeared to get a little freaked out when he saw a car fly past him sideways, at twice his speed.

This last one makes me laugh a lot. It's from the leader's perspective, and as you can see, I was technically scored in first place for about 2 seconds.👍

Sorry for the long post. It's lag education. Also, I know a few people who will get a kick out of it. :)

I experienced this a ton at Willow Springs as well. I wonder if that issue just had something to do with that track? As I've never seen that happen before or since.

Am I disappointed to see the back of DTS? Well yes and no. We didn't have have any results to write home about. 6th place was my best. But podiums and even a win was on the cards if I hadn't bottled the COD with such regularity. So we can take some positives from this week at least.

I've done enough laps around Suzuka and Interlagos in Gr.3 and 4s to be competitive and fingers crossed, there's not too many places where a mistake is as irrecoverable as the COD.

I'm expecting good things this week. So stay tuned for more bottlejobs

My two wins were at Suzuka (Viper GR.3 & Jaguar GR.4) :) . Maybe it's Jaguar time again.

This weekend has been a mixed bag.
Friday I ran 1 race A, SR down for being bumped all the time. Ran a race C, DR and SR down.
Ran this race B, got two penalties, I don't think I deserved them, maybe number one.

(I try to be clean, but I got a little annoyed by this guy in the Viper. Was it me?)

Then this morning I decided to try my luck at a race C. I made a last minute decision to go manual and for a no-stop in the Atenza.
Up two places and blue SR, second time up 3 places and blue SR.
So I think I will drive a few hundred laps with manual in time trial to get the hang of it.

My focus is race B this week.
Main account qually time: 2:09.539 in the Lexus. That's my best GR4 time at Suzuka.
2nd account: 2:11.292. Also in the Lexus.

(Audis are fast again here by the looks of things)

One race so far on 2nd account.

Started 5th. Finished 3rd. My main account time would have been good enough for pole.
I overtook 4th into the first corner and the second lap. Up to 3rd on lap 4 when 1st and 2nd clashed at turn one.
Fasted lap was in the 2:10s. Mine was 2:11.xxx

My Group 4 car for the week:

Starting with the Lancer at Suzuka. Then, the WRX, Mustang, Slophy, Vantage, TT, F-Type, M4, C7. No qualy this time.

Edit: I'll through the Michelin shod Cayman, in there as well.

After he went off the ideal line he didn't even try to avoid contact. He just tried to push you off the track to/and get a fast racing line to the finish imho.

Last time we were at Suzuka, in Gr.4, I set a 2:09.173 quali lap. I think we're aiming for high 2:08s this time.

I'm not particularly strong at Interlagos, but we'll aim for a mid to low 1:31.
I just got fastest lap in the last race: 2:09.459 in the Mustang. Still no qualy. Most cars were in the 10 second range. Majority A/S races so far.

I'm so rusty, my rating dropped from a good A/S to B/S in just 3 races. started 3rd in each race........promptly spun myself off (err excuse me!?) on the same corner on either lap 1 or lap 3 in each race and ended up last in all races....... .I wants my A/S back please

Two more races at Suzuka on second account.

Second race

Qually now at 2:10.581.
Started 5th. Pole at 2:09.448. All B/S rated.
Mostly Lexus and Audi. Saw a couple of Vipers.

Ended up 8th. Red S/R. Two penalties and a reminder to why I race on second account.

First penalty was .5 secs for cutting Degna 2 after someone tapped me at Degna 1 and again at Degna 2. Second penalty was fair enough as I slowed down just before I took first penalty to block the car that tapped me at Degna 2 and he want off track – 2 second penalty for me.

Another driver tried to knock me offline going into Degna 1, but I held that one. Don’t think this driver got a penalty.

Both drivers did the same thing. Maybe both were accidental, but the moves reminded me of the police tactic to knock a car into a spin by hitting the rear wing.

Got my fastest lap into the 2:10s. The fastest lap of the race was in the 2:09s.

Race three

On pole. Mix of B/S and D/S drivers, with one B/A.
(My SR now at 86 after the last race. Dropped from 99).

Mix of cars on the grid – Aston in 2nd. Nissan GTR in 3rd.

Won by over 4 seconds.
Went off a little on the last lap at Spoon so didn’t get a clean race.

I got fastest lap (2:11.xxx) and blue SR. Gained 8 SR for this race.

Competition not so tough away from SR 99.

I need to get my race pace consistently in the 2:10s. I think I’m too cautious as I don’t race that much and don't want to bin it.

Did a few quali laps for Suzuka earlier. 2.10.0xx in the Audi TT but i'm sure I can get in the 9's with a smooth lap.

Need to get my SR back to 99 from 70 something, so I was thinking of doing a no quali Brazil race or 2 and keep outta trouble.

Not my favourite races this week I have to admit. I've been waiting for a combination that I really like for over a month, sadly.

Nurburgring Gr.4 was the last good run of races that I got my teeth into. 8 wins over a couple of days.

Hopefully Spa will drop tomorrow and will feature in next weeks dailies. If so, just please don't let it be a Redbull one make event!

If they'll include Spa on the next week (they will :D ) then I think it'll be a Red Bull or GR.1 race.

Man, I'm getting rice again. Its the rice of GT Sport, Suzuka :(

I like the track, but since GT Sport i kinda dread it. It doesn't really leave much space to overtake, and At DR A+ I just lose DR since I'm not an agressive overtaker, because I like to leave space when overtaking. Suzuka doesn't like that.

Interlagos I need to git gud. I feel that like suzuka its a DR/SR wormhole, but i miss racing on Sporto mode since august. I should have raced more this week. Maggiore is excelent.

Btw, any tyre strat for Interlagos?

It will change your driving for the better, for sure! :D

I forgot about the severe lack of credits when starting a new game. Luckily, Lexus are strong in both Gr.4, and Gr.3.

Looks like Y_Dyn_Barfog is signing with Lexus to get cars for Suzuka, and Interlagos.

Doing the circuit experience will get you loads of cash in no time 👍

i had fun. The worst performances were in the C7(brakes aren't the best) and Cayman(pace was in the 11 second range; the result speaks for itself). Lancer felt most stable and the Vantage & F-Type are wickedly quick. Mustang is solid. M4 just latches onto its target and can't be shaken. I like it. WRX is not as stable as the LAncer, but the six gear ratios helps in the esses with acceleration. Slophy is Slophy. Stuck behind cars, due to no top speed. TT is fine(that's it).
