Last week was a disaster for both SR and DR, finally settled on mostly no-stopping C and staying out of everyone's way. The exception yesterday was the first time in a long time that I totally lost my .... composure... Got barged out of the way on turn 2 in L1 race B. I subsequently shamed myself by suffering voluntary understeer going in to turn 4 :( followed by dive bombing the rest of the race. Fortunately (and due to practically no good will on my part) on review of the replay, all of my victims were engaging in the same tactics before I got to them, however I'm still disappointed in this race (and thoroughly deserved the red S).

This week starts better. Two at Suzuka with no Q time. Gained 3 on the first, 5 on the second, lost about 800 DR but gained 6 (to 99) SR which leaves me DR/C approaching B. I'd rather be that racer than an A rated dodgem car.
 
My new account, R4M_Konsta (decided to keep the easiest part of my original PSN :p) is born! R4M means Ram 4 Money, for the uninitiated. This account is going to be purely for dailies, no-qualy at first, then I'll start running Q laps when I get higher in rating. I'm going to preserve my DR on my original ERT_Ntinoskonsta account for FIA. :)

Cant wait to race Interlagos in race C. That is were I have had the most success with 9 wins so far. :cheers:

Edit:
Race 1 - no stop in Porsche but with BB+4 my right rear was gone so I could not take a left turn with rear grip. Started 4th - ended in 18th

Race 2 - stopped for tires. Started 8th and ended 8th. Now BB was 0 so I could perhaps gone longer on them ...did not want to take chances.
Regained some of the points that I lost in race 1.

Did a couple of Race C's this morn in the best fuel saving car in group 3( any guesses)

No qualifying starting last. Finished 3rd and 4th. First race I was sent to the moon by an incredibly early braking Porsche, literally flew through the sky in a fashion iv never experienced before in gt sport. Never really cost me too much time and worked way upto 3rd by finish as people pitted or struggled with fuel and tyres.

2nd race I made slow progress and just watched the madness unfold in front of me. As folk crashed, spun, pitted or got pushed off I worked way to upto 5th, passed a Porsche and then rapidly closed down 3rd, a driver by name of BottleGT. Had a really fun battle for 2 laps before eventually passing half way round last lap however our battle allowed a 1 stopping Spaniard to catch up and on drag race to line he passed me for 3rd.

Really enjoying PD's race C selection at the mo.
 
Haven't had a chance to race yet...

What cars are you guys using for race C? Is it a no stop? Are both options viable (pit & no pit)? If it's a no stop, does it require messing around with the fuel mixture or short shifting will do it?

I've not got on track yet, but those multipliers mean both strategies should be viable. If you decide to no stop, you'll just need to short shift. If you're smooth, and look after the tyres, the mediums should last all 12 laps.

My driving style says "I Destroy Tyres no matter what"......sometimes I win, sometimes I don't - it's all racing to me
 
Good results at Interlagos but bad rep.

Anyway the track is narrow and overtaking is difficult.

T5 the car misses the apex and i am1/4th alongside his car and he turns into me and spins. 2 sec pen.

Then i follow 4 cars in a train,t3 the car ahead brakes late and i sneak in then he turns into me and Spins. 3 sec pen. This is the story of today. Some incidents i was too aggresive and got punished.

Bad day at the SR level. Involved in too many accidents.
 
I did all the track experience thingys last year in order to buy the Merc F1 car when it came in the update, what an anticlimax it was, especially with the auto clutch problem it had at first....Sold it long ago, to man in a long red coat, with a Ferrari cap! :lol:

Did 2 Race Cs to start the week off.....Didn't qualify properly, only 1 lap on a 1:33.XXX, and started 17th for both races.

Race 1 in the Merc AMG, ran on Mediums, stopped for another set, but fuel is no problem this week, so tyres are the key thing in this race....Got 9th at the flag....Not bad for not stopping, and no practice whatsoever.

Race 2, I tried the Corvette, and non stopped, but not so much pace overall that way....Got 8th after some passing, and holding on for the last 3 or 4 laps when I hit "the cliff"....Good fun though, I'll try racing on hards later, and some Race Bs too! :)

Easy no stop for race c with the AMG. Had to short shift at around 6500 for most of the race. The mediums can do the whole race, they look worn on the screen but they still have a decent amount of grip in the last part of the race.

Using +1 BB
 
i've been watching Zocker's stream on youtube , my god the 5sec penalties are raining down Interlagos like crazy , even for the slighest contact where nobody loses speed
