Erm... was there supposed to be a comment there :odd:?

I know that feeling. Due to "family circumstances" I've been driving my fathers B200 for the past 5 years. Choosing to use runflat tyres is all good and well, but hello? You still need a jack and wheel brace to take the wheel off to plug a puncture. Apparently Mercedes begs to differ :banghead:. It has a jack/socket/wheel bar now :p.

then again... if i get a flat on my work car, i can just carry the car home under my arm

Finaly had to try playing without qualy.
1st up made 8 spots from last, then 6 followed by 3 in a dog of a race, and my best result so far

I'm actually enjoying this for a change of pace, I can see the appeal and only had trouble from one guy so far while keeping the SR right up there.

Driving the Gr.3 Ferrari at interlagos for race c in nowhere as bad as it once was. Using -3 BB helps massively under braking with the stability and feels way less snappy than before. Still way more time in the car yet.
Now to see how it fares in the race!!

Last time we were here, the RCF had a clean sweep, and was the dominant meta.

In Europe, at least. Things may have been a little different across the pond.

That’s right! I had forgotten about that, thanks. Maybe I’ll try that one tonight. :)

Managed an absolute blinder (for me) qualy lap of 1.31.5 for Interlagos, i cannot repeat it so i think i am done qualifying. That has me in exclusively DR-B and SR-S lobbies, I am a high B though so expect to struggle to make up points but managed to gain 2,000 last night.

The faster pit stops REALLY help, it does even the playing field somewhat if you're not a fuel sipper. Speaking of which, the no-stoppers really do need to play the long game sometimes. If I just exited the pits with fresh rubber and I am not fuel saving and i am right behind you, why are you fighting me? Not expecting you to move over but don't go all uber defensive, you just slow both of us down and for what? I am 3 seconds a lap faster than you. Lap 9 onwards I get it but laps 7 and 8 .... man ... i have you, it's inevitable.

The S2000? I was running pretty consistent 2:05s on the full course with the Wet tire. The 'Professional' AIs were like 10 seconds a lap off the pace  I'm pretty sure they're stuck on regular sports tires or something.

Ah, see, I didn't use wet tires, I drove the car as I would in real life, sport tires! No wonder it didn't like that sharp turn in on the short course. :dunce:

How much quicker are the pitstops compared to pre-1.43?
7-10s quicker from what I’ve heard, but I don’t have data from before the update.

Also I was over ambitious with my first post. After watching the replay my positions were entering at 3rd and leaving at 6th. Still much better than before, and makes 1stops a much more viable strategy.

Interlagos has always been the kind of track that would suck the DR out of me like no tomorrow, but it seems that I am turning the table on that.
After qualifying with a lap of 1:32.58 I ended up having some pretty good races.

Using exclusively the M6 I found out that pitting was not working and I would lose 3 to 4 positions every time I stopped. So I went for some non-stop runs. Lead some laps but had to relinquish to 2nd or 3rd to finish the races. On a particular race I took the lead in lap 4 and created a gap of 11 second which I managed to hold on to down to 7 secs at the end with worn out mediums and one lap down to fuel map 6! So that worked to guarantee me my first win at Interlagos. Less than 1K points to DR A...

DR ya know, it comes and goes, on booze and rent and dags. You can make a fortune in overdrive and loose it all racing nags...Yeh, so.. another crack at Race C, this time with the Supra. Qualified on RH, then had another crack on RM. Was worth at least 2s. Figured I'd keep the RMs and do a one stop. I'm not sure if race fixing was taking the piss or doing me a favour . 18 cars on the grid, and 9 of the 🤬 are DR/B... I'm a D for those who haven't been paying attention. It was like being on the grid of one of @Pigems lobbies :p. There were 6 of us DR/Ds. The mediums had me starting P9 instead of P15.

The dash for crash as we all ran headlong into T1 at the start because, whoever gets the hole shot wins the race yeh ? No orange SRs or penalties... I'm doing well. I was having bit of a battle with a Japanese driver. He was faster, but I managed to keep him at bay. Another car in front looses it and with no where to go and no ghost, I punch it through his front quarter. Orange SR but not much I could do. It did open a 4s gap behind me, but that started to drop. I was 2s ahead when I pitted on lap 7.

New boots but I lost a bit of time filling with 6 instead of 5 laps of fuel. The guy behind me also stopped, so I came out marginally ahead, and we had lost 1 position. I was doing well holding him off but he started catching, and with 1 lap to go he got me :crying_blue:. A car ahead ran out of fuel, so I regained a position.. just not the position I wanted :guilty:. It was close, but I just couldn't catch him. Finished P7. Better than a kick in the teeth :dopey:.

SR still 99, DR up about 650. Another day above DR 1 :).

Wow. Thanks, guys.

I finally did a couple of C races, and what it appears that they've done with the pit stops is eliminated the part where you have to watch your car make that slow drive from the pit entrance to your pit. When you pull into the pits, you're just getting your tires changed, immediately. 👍
That will make a big difference for tracks with long pit roads. I don't believe it will make pitting a winning strategy, but you won't fall as far behind as before.
It also seemed like the tank filled up more quickly, but I'm not sure about that.

Brilliant, it was like you had a blocker clearing a path. (See, I can talk American).

Punted of L1 T1 in race c and dropped 3 seconds of the back in last but worked my may back up to 14th (1 better than where I started) in the 458 of all cars!!!
Ferrari is really good on fuel somehow!?
Edit: It's terrible on tyres

LOL I am less than 2K from DR-A!

Try the Aston, absolute BEAST on the straights, I pass 3 to 4 people on the first lap, almost always. OK some are fuel saving but it just seems to eat cars into T1.
did a no stop with Aston last night won easy no proplem on fuel stared 4th once ii got out front by like 3 sec saved a little right front was a little sketchy near the end (mediums) most everyone was saving and had to stop ???? A/S room I am at D/S (new acct)

It's like you had a fullback and pulling guard clearing the road for you. (sorry gang, getting into football mode)

I did but didn’t change tires because they were fine. (Hards).

No matter what type of tires, I’m losing time. Also some of the time I make mistakes. Others is people dive bombing, hitting me in the process.

What did you qualy with and what times are you doing? I am at 28K points (so a high B), qualied OUT OF MY SKIN with a 31.5 and run 33's and 34's in clear air on mediums.

Tried Interlagos, again. No improvement on my 32.1.

I think I'll be sticking to my Canadian account, and Suzuka for the rest of the week. Q time there puts me inside the top 100. So, I can build a nice stack of poles/wins to rapidly gain some DR.

What time do you have at Suzuka?

I’ve got 2:09.4xx, with optimal for a sub 2:09. Can’t put the sectors together.

2:09.184.

I'm losing a few tenths coming through final uphill left of the S bends, and through Degner 2, though. So, can definitely get that into the 2:08s.

Spoon, too. Obviously. Losing a bit of time there.

You must be getting pretty consistent in the 2:09s too.

I’ve been dropping to third now for the last right of the S bends, but was staying in fourth earlier in the week. Touch and go which is better.

I got a 50.5 for sector 3 on my first lap earlier this evening and was unable to replicate it again. Spoon just worked for me that lap.

I really want that sub 2:09 before Monday morning!
