Just tried 2 races at nurburgring gr1, qualified 6th both times and finished with gains in both. Both races got me clean races. First ever gr1 races and very enjoyable! !!
Trust me, spoke too soon. The next race was a crashfest, got punted at the last chicane and it just went downhill from there. Ended up with a drop of 24 in sr rating. Ran one last race, started 2, pole crashed on first corner and I held on for a clean race and first position, yet I only got 2 sr points back. Even my first two gr races got me 6 sr points even though I was already at 99. Now have to battle my way out of sr a again. All part of the challenge I suppose

Wouldnt even consider it. struggled to get a qualy lap finished!

Atenza is nice at Interlagos.. but then I wouldnt have a clue if that means competitive-fast.

Yeah, I guess I'll pass on Race C too :scared:

And I guess I'll give the Gr.4 Citroen another shot. It was quite competitive against all those M4s lately.
Or I'll go total crazy and try out the McLaren or Jag :O

I use a pad and group 1 just isnt that fun. Have to turn tcs right up so its really stop start/cant flow.

Grp3 or 4 is more fun for sure as you can turn those aids off.

Just raced 2 race b. The first one was not well due to penalty of my “error” exiting track limit. 👎

The 2nd one started at 3rd (video). Follow the 1 & 2 till the last corner of lap 2. A bump between them and gave me the chance to steal the win. :D

Question to mates: is it my driving too conservative. E.g. the first corner at the start. And I always brake 5-10m earlier if I am tracing. Welcome your comment. 👍

Well following two tangling cars into T1 at interlagos you want to give yourself some room lol. That said there is always a risk the guy behind you just rolls right into your behind.

It would of been awesome to get more laps on race B last night or a couple of hrs ago I was killing it on interlagos with back 2 back clean races and 3 position moved and 4 the next

So I set an initial time of 1:45.XXX in the 919 as a benchmark because it’s apparently the fastest car at Suzuka today. Jumped in the Bugatti (as it’s my favourite Gr1) and beat it after a few laps, and definitely feel it’s got a lot more time to shave off but whereas the Porsche feels effortless round the track, I feel like I’m fighting with the Bug and may physically tire before the end of the race.

Anyone else tried the Bugatti?

Same here. I can’t drive the 919 properly and use Bugatti most of the time, a bit Mazda, for Gr1. I did a 1:43:063 while optimal would be 1:42:6xx. But I cannot manage to break the 1:43 in a single lap.

I just tried the Peugeot 750 hybrid for the first time and wow what a pile

I really wanna try Race B today, but I don't feel confident enough for that track :indiff:

Here's what have done to me:

Four races, in first from S to B, first ever rank drop (dr and sr).
I think I'll end in hospital

Dragon Trail nations cup - I don’t get how people mess the chicane up so bad when there’s pretty much a single line in and out, even is an Dr S/A lobby there were people trying to go 2 wide through the whole thing.

That'll be "hard" racing to some. To me that's a complete lack of race craft, and irresponsible driving. Especially at those ranks.

Does anyone race with a Pad on race C?
Suzuka with Gr.1 and a controller is just frightening. Mistakes unavoidable :scared:

But I'm looking forward to race at Interlaces again. I just need to find the right car for today :)
Yep. I race with motion steering and GR1 is no problem at all. Suzuka is one of my better tracks too

What happen?

I don't know
I did a little contact/hit another car and got 4s penalty, that raised to 6.7 very quickly, when I went out of line/track to remove myself so I can slow down...
And I did that, finished race and nice suprise - S to B.

Did three more races and in every finished with red B.

In second or third race, man who hit me so hard that my car hit one in front of me - finished 1st, without any penalty!
We got it both...

Nice play, PD!

Just had THE WORST race, apparently I’d been raising my SR too quickly so it put me in a race with a load of see you next tuesdays. Taken out by divebombers twice on lap 1, I got penalties both times. Blatantly rammed off the track at the end of that lap so it’s race over and i’ve lost my cool.

Can’t calm down for the rest of the race and finish 15th with a negative score.

Ha! Haven't heard see you next Tuesday in a long while:lol:

Gr1 not so bad round suzuka. As a ds4 user i used tc 2 (as usual) mainly a case of on/off throttle round the s curves.

TCS 0 and B.B -2 it worked pretty decent, try it

Hmm, I’m a bit apprehensive about trying TCS 0 with certain cars and tracks. I’m not consistent enough to avoid spinning out. For Big Willow, I used TCS 2/BB +2. For Tokyo, it was TCS 0/BB -2.

That sounds like a day I would avoid!

as a matter of fact, during the daily at dragon trail 2 days ago i managed several times an overtake on the outside of that chicane ,and both my opponent and I went through without contact......my point is IT CAN HAPPEN lol

I only race with a pad. I usually do really well with GR.1. Sure it's with CSA on weak, TCS on 2 and Abs. I have much more trouble with the slower cars as I never watch the speed and the slower cars don't give me enough sense of speed to race by feeling. The faster the better. I do avoid most curbs like the plague though in GR.1!

Mazda is easiest to drive and a bit boring, bugatti is tricky, easy to spin out while trying to trail brake at speed, 919 sits nicely in the middle. bugatti on suzuka should be fine though. On big willow it was a death trap if you had a slower car in front at the final turn, tap the brake and there she goes.

There might be an influx in SR.S from yesterday. BB raceway was very easy to gain SR.
http://www.jasonguernsey.net/gts/tracks/by-category
GR3 4,626 53 -31 8.594 39,757
Average of 8.6 SR gain per player per race, that's very high compared to other tracks

Tokyo Central outer loop also increased the SR pool
N300 21,965 23 -37 1.356 29,795
Average of 1.4 SR gain per player per race

Nurb GP GR.1 was pretty neutral
GR1 4,227 18 -62 -0.070 -295
Almost averaging out at zero

Yesterday raised the average SR across the board.

Interlagos and Monza are red, SR drains, no matter what category. Suzuka GR.1 should be fine though, was positive last time.

I just got a clean racing bonus at interlagos, but my Sr dropped an entire level?

Getting hit from behind still deducts SR for you, even though you don't see SR Down. As long as you don't see SR Down you keep the clean racing bonus. I had the same thing on Nurb GP although I still had a white S at the end with clean race bonus. Got rammed in the chicane.
Also when you get punted into a shortcut you sometimes get to keep the clean race bonus, just not the SR points any more.

Ugh, lost to a lagger at Monza due to a penalty for going slightly off track. Was half-tempted to report him since he was teleporting all over the place and disrupting the flow. If I play him again and he still has a red bar connection, I’m going to report him.

Love it when people apologize after playing dirty. That’s not magically going to take back the results of the race now is it? Freaking trolling a-holes.
