@The_Tullster; 6BK’s rule of inverse proportionality at Autopolis; as your DR moves your SR will move in an equal and opposite direction. This week so far my SR fell from 99 to 50 while my DR went from 15K to 20K.💡
The opposite for me, they're mostly in synch.

At +2 SR per race it takes forever....
Got a CRB at Nord today (hallelujah) and it got me +5 SR which puts me back in the low 60's.

Overall today was my best day of the week. Two race A, managed a clean start on the first and didn't get an SR warning until T6 , then one on Nord. Gained at least one place on all three races for a total of +350 DR +6 SR.
I think I'm driving at a DR score very closely matched to my skill level, but SR should skyrocket next week when we get on at least one more sensible track.

That clip from sven reminded me i need to trim and share a clip from the end of one of my races yesterday. Pulled off a fairly big save and almost filled my pants at the same time. I'll try to share it here sooner than later.

Probaby wont get on the track today. Only day of the week the wife and i are both off, and while gaming is not an issue, it needs to be low focus and pause-able. I might try some more hot laps at nord before it goes, had my opt down to a 8.04.679 last night but only managed to trim my actual time by .073 or something like that, still 6.917

had a great morning this morning, 2 straight wins at Le Mans no stopping in the Toyota, really good fun and clean racers, credit to the racer who tagged me by accident trying to get past and then let me back past. There should be more people around like this.

Ugh, I'm perfectly set up to take 5th place, slinghshot corner entry, connection is fine, and
Ohj9t2h.gif

Why!!!!

At least since it was at the end of the race I didn't lose much SR. 72 currently, DR gain from the last 4 races gone again. I'm heading out to my pool. For whatever reason it's currently 28c, feels like 34c, full sun. Crazy Canadian weather.

So I jinxed myself. Bragging about not losing any SR this week. I was bound to get a bad race.

It was bad from the start. 2 cars with penalties before the start line. Half the grid with penalties in the 1st minute. And then I guess the strategy was block and knock others so they get penalties too? Quit about 1/4 way through. Pointless to go on. Lost 3 SR and 1500 DR but would have ended the same or worse I think.

Anyways, otherwise a great week. Fellow drivers make all the difference.

I just saw @BenRod in a race. It was a dirty one. When I looked at the people in it, it dawned on me, I got matched with SR.S again  No more clean SR.A racing lol. I got double smashed at the end of the straight but at least didn't get a penalty and only one of the smashers got ahead. It's the same brake point all week for the final turn, how do people keep getting it wrong... Especially in SR.S lol. SR.S doesn't give you better brakes! I guess it's because using the back wall doesn't give any penalties so dives are rewarded as long as you bounce the right way.

SR 80 atm, will it go past my previous weekly high of 91 or back down towards SR.B. Dirty hour is coming up soon. It's been a slow day for any clean race bonus, just about every race I get tapped from behind at or before T1 ugh.

Next up, a dirty A+/S driver on pole. Hopefully he doesn't bin it or this could get ugly.

He ran out ahead, however I had an A+/A driver starting in front of me who left a trail of destruction. He started by simply pushing people out of the way leaving me to negotiate a bunch of angry drivers. Then he got a penalty pushing a bit too far and went postal. The people he was ramming were smart enough to quit. The A+ driver ended up with 14 sec in penalties and left with a red B. I wonder if his racing team approves... He's reset to 40K now. I passed him on the straight when he was ghosted and finished 4th with clean race bonus.

Closing the week out with many 5ths and 4ths but no podium at Le Mans. Best qualy 3:25.9 using only the the Peugeot HDi. Could’ve gotten some better finish positions if not some very dirty divers and other time I screwed up royally at a corner that I never make mistakes! Well, hanging on low A DR still.

Came into the week A/S a leaving A/A with few hundreds points less.

Let’s see what next week has in store for us all! Cheers

I managed to get some racing in this afternoon. @BenRod was in most if not all of them. Had a good string of racing going just trying to get a podium as there were some top ten times running ahead of me. I had gained 1200dr or so and then lost it all in the last race i tried as it was a rough crowd. All in all a fantastic week running the ring. I hope next week offers me something i can enjoy even half as much

Had some really tough races at Le Mans today. Loads of bumping and ramming making it impossible to make clean progress, had to give up for the sake of SR.

Some rebuilding to do this week.

I'm still trying to get back to 99 SR, racing from the back on the Nord. It gets difficult in SR.S since the DR spread is so high. My theory is that it's easier for fast drivers and slow drivers to get to SR.S. Either you drive in the front or behind the pack and gain SR. Those stuck in the middle get to deal with most of the contact, hence so many A/S D/S rooms. And likely also why I get cleaner races in B/B since those drivers tend to have better race craft through experience. Driving out front or behind doesn't teach you to deal with many situations.

For me the hurdle is starting from the back in SR.S means starting behind slow D/S drivers with other non qualifiers lined up behind who usually aren't very patient. Then there's the lag factor. I'm not sure what happened here, he either started braking way too early or lag was responsible. Lag was definitely involved.
CYBt1o5.gif

Anyway I apologized and back to 81 SR, ugh.

Better in the low SR room, 3rd place with CRB, only +4 SR though since I got bumped in a braking zone. No SR Down for a change.

Lol I just did a refresh on that KP profile of that A+ driver I was talking about earlier. Down to 18 SR now and was reset to 7K. Talk about having a bad day... He was at 58K yesterday. Beware C/C drivers, angry A+ driver coming from the back :/

Did my second Race B this week, didn't qualify for either. The one I did today, I went from 13th to 5th. It was really fun. I was in 6th and the 5th place guy ahead of me braked way too late after the final long straight and ended up into the wall, handing me 5th. Really fun trying to control these.

Daily race ideas:
Race A - N300, but only limited selection of JDM cars pre 2005 on Suzuka.
Race B - Gr3 on De sainte cox B
Race C - Gr2, but only cars from 2008 are allowed. Track is Sardegna road A.

Or

Race A - Gr4 on Dragon Tail seaside reverse
Race B - N400, but only old Italian cars are allowed ( Miura, countach, 512bb, Daytona, pantera etc..) track is Monza.
Race C - Gr1, but only group C cars are allowed. Track is La sarthe.

Or...

Race A - Gr4 Sardegna C reverse
Race B - Gr3 Sardegna Road A reverse
Race C - Grx, but only Mclaren P1 GTR is allowed, on Nurburgring Nord.

It's a bit sad that daily races aren't more diverse and lots of times the same over again, when there are many different combinations to choose from. Definitely a thing that needs to be changed. They are still good ofc, but they could be even better like this.

Next races are N300 on tsukuba, which we had many, many times before. Then Gr4 on brand hatch which is ok. Then N200 on suzuka, which I guess will be probably another miata race, which we had before as well. I would love if it was an S2000 race instead, but it doesn't look like it.

After a break I started my final run for SR.99 unqualified on the Nord. I started at SR 83 after getting screwed over again earlier. First race this evening, I end up with a 5 sec wall penalty for avoiding a dirty block after flugplatz. First time I got a wall penalty on Nord, I guess you have to lose lots of time before it triggers . Then another 0.5 sec penalty later for avoiding another dirty move. 5.5 sec onto the straight in 3rd, still finished 6th after getting rammed into the wall by a Brazilian who got away without a penalty. However +3 SR to 86. SR.S is so dirty!

Once I hit 99 I'll do a qualifying run. Dunno if I still have energy left to race after that but I should mark the time on KP so I can check back later when the Nord was on :) Starting 10th next in front of an American and Canadian. Perhaps this race can finally earn me some SR.

3rd place is so bad at the entry to the straight I have no choice but to go on the inside and pass early. He drafts back to halfway overlap so we get into the final section side by side. Left turn I stick all the way to the outside, goes well. Right turn I take as tight as possible 2 wheels in the grass, 4th place is half a car behind but turns into the apex anyway :banghead: Bounces off me, 2 sec penalty for me. I kept 3rd place cause he spun himself after hitting me. -3 SR, back to 83.

3rd race, score! Victory from 11th with CRB +5 SR to 88. I was in 4th following the penalty train onto the straight. The only other Canadian who was in first tried to run me off on the straight. I feigned right, he tried to block right, I veered left and passed him. Why act so childish. At least he didn't want to risk a penalty so left me going when I was alongside.

I know in F1 you can make one defensive move, but if one car is going much slower, is it a valid move to make a last second block when another car comes from behind? I guess they don't often deal with that in F1, no penalty zones

4th race, 6th place finish from 14th with CRB again. +4 SR to 92, into the dirty SR.S room. As if the 80-89 split wasn't dirty enough. I had to brake hard in this one as I wasn't quite sure how to negotiate this
zs1ochw.gif

Are we playing the road is lava? Not +5 SR this time since I accidentally punted a dirty blocker. I managed to brake twice for him already, when he screwed up a third time the speed difference was too great to avoid his last second block. The game ruled in my favor :)

5th race, 6th place finish from 12th with 3rd CRB in a row! +4 SR again to 96, no clue who hit me. The start was interesting:
olHyh4Q.gif

The one bar Brazilian that falls back there and started on pole caused a standing for the whole field. Then he re appeared as the winner, 10 sec ahead of everyone else at the finish. I was in 5th until the last 10 seconds, suddenly 6th. I guess he got a normal start and drive the race alone. Nice cheat!

6th and final race without qualifying, 7th place, 4th CRB in a row, to 99 SR :gtpflag:That literally took all week after dropping to SR.B Monday night. Yet I stuck to it, competitive racing from the back, no compromises.

Day / DR / SR
648 27645 B 99 S
647 26726 B 85 S
646 20866 B 65 A
645 29133 B 49 B
644 26254 B 47 B
643 21822 B 45 B
642 36175 A 99 S

Reset to 15K Monday night and 7K Friday night. The verdict, don't race in the evening / night, except Sunday nights. Those are generally very clean. That last room had one neutral rating, rest all blue.

Qualifying time!

My conservative driving style gets me a 8:10.249 lap on the 2nd lap. No time for more, signed up for the next race lol. Looking back at when this combo was on last March, I had a Q time of 8:10.411, pretty consistent :) That earns me a 4th place start. So many people behind me to bump me :nervous:

The race starts. I fall back a bit in the first section since I have the least experience there going fast. I get some pressure from 4th place but he messes up at Flugplatz and falls back a second, just out of draft range and stays there. I speed up in the second half and finally manage to close the gap for the last 2.5 minutes. A nail biting finish follows

All the experience gained pays of and I manage to keep the car under control for victory!
jyVc6fr.jpg

That brings my total victories on the Nord to 140 (15 this week) out of 921 races completed on the Nord, currently my most raced track in GT Sport. (2nd place is Mount Panorama at 824 races)

Amazing week in SR.B. I learned so many new places to overtake on the Nord, so many great races and a couple not so great. Getting out of SR.B is very hard in a sprint race worth only 5 points while starting mid backfield. I think I only got to start dead last once or twice, starting as high as 4th earlier in the week, the same as I just did after qualifying :boggled:

Qualifying early got me to A+ in March, but that had many pole to flag not so very exciting races. This week I managed to get 56 clean races while overtaking from the back, definitely more fun.

Best track ever made! Now let us use a different car next time PD

How does car allocation work in daily races.today i qualified 9th and was car 3,qualified 7th given car 2,qualified 6th given car 1,qualified 7th given car 1.WTF- I am consistently 3 seconds off the pace but my race time is usually my qualifying time-does car allocation affect DR?

Pinging Mr. @Sven Jurgens . I think he has a good idea of how that works.

Car allocation does not affect anything. The car number is assigned based on the alphabetical order of everyone's DR in the room. Only when everyone has 10K DR or higher (DR.B at least) then your car number will tell you where you stand if all entries were sorted on DR. (And in theory would predict your finishing position)

However since it is sorted alphabetical any DR.C or DR.D entries will screw it up. DR 800 gets a higher door number then DR 70,000, as well as DR 8, 80, 8,000, 9, 90, 900, 9,000. A DR.D driver with 9 DR will get door number 1, while mr A+ with 75K DR (the limit) will get door number 2.

thanks mate-no excuses now....

That's for the tourist run
nurburgring_toll.jpg

I did a 'custom race' against the AI with the Evos. Set up like Race B, just to see what pace I could do and whether I actually wanted to compete...

Anyway - if you're coming up fast behind the AI cars looking to pass, they stick on the indicators and pull to the right so you can pass on the left...

I only noticed it yesterday. I enjoyed the reference.

Am I missing something here? Just took a quick look and daily races A (Autopolis) and B (Nordschleife) are the same as they were all last week and only race C has changed?!?

That’s a bit lame if it’s the case...

How weird! I must have caught it mid refresh!

Brands Hatch... Woo...

You're missing something. Race A is the 91 GTO TT at Tsukuba and Race B is Group 4 at Brands Hatch.

So speaking from experience, Race A lasts just over 5 and a half minutes, and Race B looks to be roughly six minutes and a bit long? Anyone who succeeds in a last to first challenge this week is either lucky or super fast or likely both.
