Am I missing something here? Just took a quick look and daily races A (Autopolis) and B (Nordschleife) are the same as they were all last week and only race C has changed?!?

That’s a bit lame if it’s the case...

How weird! I must have caught it mid refresh!

Brands Hatch... Woo...
They run the races up until the reset. In UK the reset is 0800, so Race A resets after the 0740 race entry period has ended (next race starts at 0800), Race B after 0750 race, and Race C after 0730. Log on any Monday between 0731 and 0740 and you'll only see Race C updated

Started in my "amuse R1Tiatan"(I was the only orange S2K in the field :) ) 19/20. Finished 10/20.

No qualy. Might do a qualy as I was in an A-A+/S room. Couple of players taking when all needs to be done is lift off throttle.

A Montecarlo blue S2k chased me for 4 laps and raced cleanly. I gave it the inside at the hairpin but I stayed outside and in 2nd gear with more momentum on exit. It was fun, but C'mkn, PD. 196hp? The car doesn't need BoP.

Next up, last in the nasty pink Huracan. Hate this car, but we'll see how I go this week in all 27 Gr.4 cars.

The S2000 fits like a glove at Suzuka 👍 Here's my best lap so far an early 1st place EU but that will change very soon :p
still got some more time left to grab throughout the week

The online races in this car will be EPIC!! 👍

OMG it's not the MX5 touring???
Is everything alright at PD? Can somebody please check...

An N car on daily race C... Now that's a change I genuinely appreciate..

Edit: Given the fact that it's at Suzuka, I'd say everything is normal at PD's headquarters..

I don't get why they didn't make Daily B at Brands a 5 lap race. It's only a 1 min 30 (ish) lap time. They usually only cut it to 4 laps if the laps are closer to 2 min. Not only does it mean very short races but also longer wait times between them. I rarely race anything less than Gr4 but it looks like I may have to try the S2000 at Suzuka this week.

Anyway, kiddy complaints aside I doubt I'll have a week like last. DR up by 8,000 to a new high and SR down to 50. @Sven Jurgens has a point too. The DR B / SR B races I experienced were more fun and for the most part just as fair if not more so than SR S. Most guys knew where to position their cars and knew where I was relative to them. I'm not sure if SR S drivers go so far out of their way to avoid a rub that mistakes are made when they over compensate. I didn't mind a couple of cars leaning on me in turns where we were pushing each other for a position. So long as they were not barging or ramming I found it fair. In SR S it tends to be either avoid contact at all costs and end up making a worse mistake or commit a professional foul (IMHO).

Start of week compared to end of week stats:

Day Driver Points DR* Manner Points SR
144 21910 B 50 B
137 13762 B 99 S

Since it's Nurburgring this week, I want to ask a noob question about the sign at the start.

Are we supposed to make an effort to overtake on the left side even in races?

dsc_21512.jpg

The 'ring isn't purely a race track, it's also used extensively for manufacturer testing and for quite a bit of the time it's a public toll road. You roll up, pay you money and go for a ride (aka take your chances! I have, several times). Rules of the road apply (in theory).

Jumped into a couple of races over the weekend, a couple of attempts at the Nord went fairly cleanly, started nearly at the back for both, let 1-bar French guy past in the first, hoped he'd take some others out, bit no such luck, just followed him through the race for 14th place, second race I followed a pack of 4 for most of it, who spent a lot of time side by side without crashing, although one of them had a 5s penalty for something, he ended up a long way back after that, and the other three all crashed on the final bit, elevating me to 8th.

Switched to La Sarthe after that, and having not raced there this week, went for the TS050, drove a careful qualifying lap more to get used to the car again than anything else, left me 19th on the matchmaking screen, which was 18th by race start, and 17th by the line as the Alpine in front span on the curb in the chicane. Spun on lap 2 trying to avoid an Alpine sliding out at Porsche, but otherwise keeping it on the track had me up to 10th which became 8th when the others stopped. Thought that was it, until 6th and 7th both binned it separately at Indianapolis and Arnage on the final lap, so 6th from 18th which I was pleased with as I don't race many Race Cs, and even less with Gr1 cars.

I had a fun weekend, a couple of races on LM in the old Nissan. Even tried fuel saving no stopping. I nearly fell asleep. It was so boring I could not concentrate.
Tried the rotary devil, that was a lot more fun, with the Nissan I climbed one or two places in most races, the Mazda where going up 5 or 6 spots every race with a short stop for a splash of fuel.
Then I decided to try out the Sauber Merc, immediately I lowered my qt by another second. So I went for a morning race in it and failed catastrophically. From 14 to dead last, on the final lap a guy decides that he wants to get in on the action so when I overtake right before the chikane he goes 3 wide, hit me in the side and goes off the line so I get a 5 second penalty. Then he does the same at the Porsche curves so I have 10....

Well, at least Brands Hatch is fun (so was LM), 2 spots up and tight racing all the way with mizzer777 who caught me and won by a photo finish.

Edit: last week killed my DR, from 8700 to 1500. Unless we are on a favourite track for me I seem to be a natural DR D kind of guy.

Squeezed in about 8 laps before i had to head into work. Started to get the feel for the car, but man it does not turn.... I haven't got up this early since my dairy days, as much as i hate mornings it's kinda nice, quiet, i hate people more, not you guys though your cool lol

Not sure what to do tbis week tbh. The gto is a real different animal at that track than the usual servings, i really like the full brands circut and would like to improve there and in gr4, annnd C even has cought my eye a bit, as long as it not a fuel saver.....

Done for the night

Used the green one not the pink one. I don't see what the big deal is.

Was like driveing on a parkway. NO excitement at all.

WRX went 2.6 seconds quicker tyhan the HUracan. I set a 1:30.7 for the night. Best car for me, out of the AWDs

I did fine in the GT-R and a GT-R won that race. Finished .2 seconds ahead of a Slophy.

Atenza just hasn't felt quick on the straights. Exit speed is its weapon.

Evo needs 6 forward gears, but it's easy to drive. I kept underestimating the brakes. Car stops on a dime.

Car allocation does not affect anything. The car number is assigned based on the alphabetical order of everyone's DR in the room. Only when everyone has 10K DR or higher (DR.B at least) then your car number will tell you where you stand if all entries were sorted on DR. (And in theory would predict your finishing position)

I guess this explains why I get double digit door numbers when I raise to a new DR class. I just get excited if I finish ahead of the door number. :p

I just saw @BenRod in a race. It was a dirty one. When I looked at the people in it, it dawned on me, I got matched with SR.S again  No more clean SR.A racing lol. I got double smashed at the end of the straight but at least didn't get a penalty and only one of the smashers got ahead. It's the same brake point all week for the final turn, how do people keep getting it wrong... Especially in SR.S lol. SR.S doesn't give you better brakes! I guess it's because using the back wall doesn't give any penalties so dives are rewarded as long as you bounce the right way.

SR 80 atm, will it go past my previous weekly high of 91 or back down towards SR.B. Dirty hour is coming up soon. It's been a slow day for any clean race bonus, just about every race I get tapped from behind at or before T1 ugh.

Next up, a dirty A+/S driver on pole. Hopefully he doesn't bin it or this could get ugly.

He ran out ahead, however I had an A+/A driver starting in front of me who left a trail of destruction. He started by simply pushing people out of the way leaving me to negotiate a bunch of angry drivers. Then he got a penalty pushing a bit too far and went postal. The people he was ramming were smart enough to quit. The A+ driver ended up with 14 sec in penalties and left with a red B. I wonder if his racing team approves... He's reset to 40K now. I passed him on the straight when he was ghosted and finished 4th with clean race bonus.
"Dirty A+ on pole" If you are talking about who I think you are, I always try to stay away from them. While indeed fast, they are prone to certain mistakes, and that means I might find them behind me at some point... And I did in one race. Bump, bump, bump, stick a nose in, slide me out into the wall, slam the wall themself, drive away as I get lynched from behind by the mob they angered. Double SR down and 1sec wall penalty. Nothing for them.

Then there is the lag. Ohhh, the lag! It was incredibly bad this week. Not just the quick grip-glitch from someone quitting or hard contact/crashing elsewhere on track, but actual TIME glitches! I had 2 incredibly odd occurences at Autopolis that pretty much ruined the races, and one exceptionally bad one yesterday at Nord. I have absolutely no ideea what happened... I suddenly get slammed in the side when there were no cars around me, 3 cars suddenly appear all around me ghosting into each other. I keep a hold of it, check behind, and it's "Oh S***!!! Here comes Sven!" Barely got out of your way. .5sec penalty for track limits and SR down dropped me to SR A. Then, I think it was the next race, 3 SR down BEFORE THE START LINE, lagging mayhem everywhere, mostly survive it, running up to Flugplatz and notice cars parked next to the wall, begin to groan even before the disconnect. I hadn't had a server disconnection during a race in probably 6 months. That was it for me. SR = 70. (more groaning)

I was starting with a very lazy 8:21 all week which meant usually 9th or 10th, and driving up to usually 3rd or 4th to finish. Yesterday I qualified with an easy 8:14, and that was a mistake. Shoulda stuck with the slower time even though it gave me a pole turned Perfecta for a win. But it is waaayyy more dangerous to start 2nd, 3rd, or 4th than further back.

What a crappy week.

Day 671 looks fun!

But it is waaayyy more dangerous to start 2nd, 3rd, or 4th than further back.
Generally I race Daily B (don't have time to do C). Agreed on nearly every race. RBR Gr3 a couple of weeks back, and Sardegna the week before, I was only in the bottom 4 of the grid for every race and all I had to do was watch the cars in front drive off the track so I could make up easy places. Last week on Daily A I was top 5 for every race and was punted from the rear every time. It may be a point that a no quali is the safest way to make up places.

Looks like we might have a combo I like a lot! I was quick around Suzuka in the MX5 Touring and the S2000 is pretty similar. Today's two races so far have gone well...

Caught the gravel slightly on Degner 2 in the second race and think that's what did for my CRB on that one as I didn't hit anything or anyone. Done 115 miles total in this car, currently have a 2:32.4 as qualy, a 2:32.1 as optimum and know I can get into the 31s with a little studying and a little practice (absolutely always lose time around the hairpin without fail!).

Being straight onto a decent pace should stand me in good stead though, especially seeing as I have the week off work! Up from 41k to 43k DR so far so with a bit of Suzuka farming... you never know!

*Dunno how you guys upload your screenshots - I take a photo then screenshot and crop it!

**And yes, I know I need to change my suit livery... was a good idea at the time!

I did a 'custom race' against the AI with the Evos. Set up like Race B, just to see what pace I could do and whether I actually wanted to compete...

Anyway - if you're coming up fast behind the AI cars looking to pass, they stick on the indicators and pull to the right so you can pass on the left...

I only noticed it yesterday. I enjoyed the reference.
Thanks for sharing that. That answers what I was wondering.
