Well i was 3rd. Number 15 was ahead, Number 2 went straight through him as he got ghosted. I tried the same and boom contact. I rammed into him. He didn't ghost for me. 4th passed me bcoz of this. I was like wtf

and if i start watching from the beginning of the race at 23:35 i can see that you didnt like getting passed on the 1st corner and you tried getting back by cutting the next corner

Here it is, both situations, now I'm really wft happen in second one:

You are A now though, aren't you? And mate, you were starting way ahead of me in the BB and Interlagos races we were matched in and battling with the front lot.

Sounds good... I was watching a video someone on here posted the other day and it does look absolutely ridiculous! Did you get any motion sickness or anything?

If only....

Got to keep finishing top half to gain points though, which is going to get much more difficult.

Still A yes... around 34/35k is where I should be in my opinion

To be fair, I'm not au fait with the specifics of racing "law" when it comes to 'leaving the door open', 'having the inside line' or whatever...so I will leave others to judge or rule. Personally, it's 50/50... he was losing ground to you and probably should have conceded the position, but then in his eyes you divebombed the inside and pushed him off the track. No excuse for the retaliation at all though. What level is this?

This was B/S

Is it worth using a viper for today’s race c or a I’ll I most likely be caught short with fuel/tyres?

Yo I'm telling you this actually works. Another race in and no carnage again! If I get 5 races with no carnage I'll do this everytime

Those experiences is where you learn, at least in my experience. I started out 2 seconds away from Top 10. Eventually that wasn't enough as I'm getting placed midfield, as well as finishing there. I tried, and tried, and tried... Eventually I'm one second away, and at the start of January, got my first Top 10 :) But it wasn't just the times. I can't rely on pressure alone to overtake, much less last lap reckless overtakes. That's when I learned to analyze my opponents. Getting to S isn't without its hardships; it'll be an uphill battle from here, but it's where you'll most improve :D
And it'll all be so worth it in the end
Sorry it became a novel

What BB are guys using for the A45 AMG? I use +4 myself
I left it at 0 yesterday and had pretty good results on Nurb GP. I guess rear would help push the back round a bit more though.

Edit: did you put a time down yesterday or was it just on the manufacturers?

Please report back! May be good advice if it works consistently :)

Sure, but I will probably lose all of my A points too quickly and drop back to B by the time I learn these important lessons :)

To be honest, I know now that I am at my peak... especially in the group 3 and 4 cars I physically can't get any closer to the top 10 (whereas with the one make A I can get in the top 1-3%, for gr 3 and 4 I can just about get top 10%) ... I spend 45 minutes to an hour qualifying on just one circuit but I'm squeezing everything I can out of my controller. I've done some test laps and tried to use TCS off (as this is my only restriction now) but I wait so long to get back on the throttle after cornering that I lose more time than the TCS takes up.

+2 works fine with me

Same here. Actually, I tried Sport Mode again today after almost 2 months aways. However I did in a secondary account.

Dunno if it’s just me, but several times I thought I was going to get hit from behind or sideways and it just didn’t happen. I’m not sure if I got lucky in matchmaking or people’s driving behaviour is really changing as the online mode evolve. I did 2 races with the one make in Brands Hatch and 1 at Monza with the Lambo.

Maybe, maybe I come back to play Sport Mode regulary.

Honestly, people have changed. Previously, I would approach (for example) T1 at Nurburgring GP and my jaw would tighten, my buttocks would clench, my whole body would tense ready for impact and I would start to say 'please, please, please, please, please, please' when approaching . Now, you can expect others to not hit you :)

I have also noticed that players now seem to know that cars have "brakes"

Yesterday I had one instance on T1 at Nurburgring where I started first and had one blue Merc A45 that came screaming past me at
speed, I calmy braked at my usual spot and missed the late braking car and calmly accelerated out of the corner, will try to add the clip
after work.

Daily A Mercedes AMG 45
Daily B Huracan Gr.4

Bathurst was amazing tonight, the penalties are much better now. The few dirty racers quickly disappeared and most of the races were as clean as can be. Clean fast rooms, finally.

My lucky escape of the day. I can still catch 4th place

Oh never mind.

Definitely must give Monza another try. The Huracan is one of my preferred GT4 cars anyhow.
Wow, good save, I had almost the same 360 deg spin the other day in the Man TT Impreza :):gtpflag:

I got 6th in qualifying at Monza...
Had a nice race up until the start of Lap 3, where I spun out and got reduced to 9th. Out of fear for my DR I'm now sheltering within my other account :nervous:

But on a positive side note, 4th race in and still no carnage. Beautiful :)

Ran a race at Monza. I was the only S/S driver. Seems like you can be super aggressive when you're B/S. I got overtaken on the outside at the first chicane and we touched. I got 4s but the guy got nothing. Not much I could've done to avoid him as he missed his braking point and stopped in front of me. My DR is too high as I haven’t played for weeks. I shall let it go down to A/S!

I just seem to get penalised for everything at Monza, not seen any full on carnage or anything but my S/R slowly trickles away. I do like the track tho its the other cars that are the main issue, well that a the odd S/R reduction for marginally cutting a curb!!

1:57.836 on Race B today. Grrr I can't set top field qualifying times recently :indiff:

Update: A 1:56.924
Now that's more like it :)
So far I managed only 1:58.6  time to improve it tonight ;)
Btw, how can you tell in what car you had your personal records? AFAIK, the stat site shows only the category, not the car itself

This is the main problem for me... forget about the chaos at T1... you put two wheels on a curb and you get a penalty. Absolute joke how strict the track limits are...

And....
@bdz_apa

I have some unbelievably sad news, the car used, believe it or not just isn't in any of the data I'm getting from PD. It's incredibly frustrating from my perspective and I'm sure it's a total bummer for everyone else. I have and idea that might work but it's a long shot and probably wont be very accurate.

Weird. Thanks anyhow, so it seems I have to keep my records on paper? :)

Yeah.. or you could even try a spreadsheet ;)

Basically, from what he has said, the data of which car is used is just not stored in the information that he can pull back from the PD servers.

The track limits are fine at Monza, just keep two wheels inside the white line. It should be like that on every track. No bump overtakes by cutting the corner! Monza is however generally bad for SR, especially in a daily B with not much time to recover from lap 1.

http://www.jasonguernsey.net/gts/tracks/by-category
GR.4 as it is today again stands at average 4.4 SR loss per player per race.
Suzuka GR.3 stands at avg 7.6 SR gain per player per race.

However last evening the racing on Mount Panorama was excellent while GR.4 there stands at avg 3.1 SR loss per player per race. Despite a few rough races in the afternoon I gained avg 5.6 SR per race. Max to gain in one race was 14 at SR.S

I'll take the Monza challenge on again later. Monza probably only gives out max 5 points per race as usual, it will be a lot harder to stay positive there. I never managed so far, came close with the N300 car last time. Worst was the Vulcan. Getting hit in T1 pretty much ruins your chances at a blue rating at A/S.

Not gonna lie Race C with the 650S didn't go well
I didn't expect the handling to be so bad when the tire degrades, and it's also the first time I saw the rears degrade worse than the fronts

And because I didn't qualify (for the lols), I was battling with people who have braking points 50 meters earlier than mine...
I'm so sorry

In the end this is what I could muster

I haven't driven it in a while, but IIRC, the 650 is very sketchy braking in to turn 1/2 when the tyres start to go off.

Driving at the back (15th-20th start pos) in the higher level A /S DR races is a nightmare, you have people using all kinds of braking points and lines, you just don't know who is going to do what :indiff:

If you ended with + DR and made up a few places - consider that a win 👍

That's what I found too. That race is the moment I realized why so many good drivers mix in a bit of throttle with the brakes

My door number is 5, and I finished 5th as well as 1000 DR, as well as FL. A definite win in my books :D

Here's the next result, pretty happy with it =w=

Gonna qualify for next race now though, I don't want to be the cause of carnage again :indiff:
