Well at least "the drain pipe" stuck as a name. I'm honoured! Next I'm going to go around the whole course and name every section after parts of a toilet.

@The_Tullster Well done on you time improvements. I may be the same for race choice next week. Gr2 is not a category I usually venture into and I was hoping for a Daily C with a GR 3 or Gr4 on a decent track but that never seems to happen. My brain refuses to race Tokyo.

Heh I'm from S Bend.

I'm in the same boat as @Invisigoth . DR means nothing to me, it's a game. I get frustrated when the crash and bash guys pass me, but, it's a game. Only 7 wins in over 400 races, it's a game. I don't race much anymore, I got a game with fast cars for that, top speed 100 doesn't much interest me. The best part of this game for me anymore is @Pigems lobby races. I always finish last but its the cleanest and funnest racing.

  • The rim - Entry onto the bridge
  • The lid - Main Straight
  • The cistern - the crest just before the S-Bend (esses)
  • Full flush - after the drain pipe there's a 90 degree right followed by the fast left-left done full out
  • Half flush - next is the right left just before the last turn where you may ease off a little instead of hitting the wall on exit
  • Bidet - right hander after bridge
  • Drain Pipe - long straight after bidet
  • Bowl - between esses where ground vanishes from under you

Well, as bumpy the ride has been, this is my new favourite track. The races this week has been exhilarating.

I'll need to race on it some more to get to the point of looking forward to it, but at least I've got some braking points and lines worked out enough to race without ruining other drivers' experience of the circuit too much. I'm particularly pleased at a getting a CRB in a race where I took turns side by side with other drivers.
Been really enjoying race B this week, been using the GT-R mainly and set a time of 2:09.776. now to try a few different cars, any suggestions apart from the obvious ones like the Ford GT or Mustang?
AMG, Supra, Porsche, Jaguar, RC-F (though not sure the last is actually competitive, it should be fun though).

Supra (most recommended by everyone not using the GT-R) & Ferrari (recommended by me and I'm crap so don't puch much money on it) - my best is in the Ferrari at 2:10:2 but I can't race it. I am .3 secs behind that time in the GT-R which I do race. By that logic you should be 9.4 in the Ferrari.:boggled:

@RacingGrandpa we'll have to get a map done up and edit the names onto the sectors.

Doubt the Porsche has the power on the straits compared the GT-R on the straights to be competitive but I might give it a go.

Ugh, I have been running mostly race C lately but of all my bogey tracks (St croix, looking at you) Tsukuba hs to be fighting with the classic nurb for me. Will have to figure out Race B is my guess. For all I have raced it since the early GT days I hate that track, and unlike Fuji or Autopolis can't make heads or tails of it. To plug in an N100 car is like gas on a fire to me. Just too uneven for me to use it. Au revoir Race C. See ya in a while

Done a race this morning and got my 'race from the back' account up to A rank with an 8th place finish. Was a pretty decent comeback drive for me, after the first lap went perfectly and I got up to 8th, I slightly outbraked myself into T1 on L2 but not enough to lose a place - until I got bombed and then swamped. Here's the first two laps

Now MarkyGTI (after watching it) may well have just completely missed his braking point, or he could have been in a rage after his own T1 incident, in which he - and the car that hit him - were totally innocent victims of a Porsche changing up to 7th when he should have started braking!

Apologies for the 'editing'!

Now for a little break then I'm getting that qualifying time for C down

Why not name some turns after toilet and accessory manufacturers?
TOTO
Kohler
American Standard
Bemis
Delta
Sterling
Moen

You'd better bill them for sponsorship costs or they'll sue you for trademark infringement ;)

Why did it feel like all the idiots came out in my last race, constant bumping into me an dive-bombs up the inside.
That was my whole week last week, but at my level (low DR-B, SR-S) St Croix is at least an order of magnitude cleaner than Mt Panorama was.

Question: how many races do you guys average a day?

Life time

Days access: 666 (did you pick this day on purpose to ask this question!)
Races finished: 8669

Avg 13 races per day.

I don't qualify, don't practice, only race nowadays in between taking care of day to day stuff. So the 10+ minutes between race B starts makes it easier to do more races. Next race is starting!

Looks like race B again for me next week, yet SR is probably going to suffer. GR.2 bus stop lol.
Although East outer loop again? It was decent fun in GR.4, and 3 laps is usually good enough to make up lots of positions at Tokyo.

Busy week, Huracan at Tokyo, liveries for GR.2, wrecking SR at DT Seaside, ignoring Tsubaka not even going to use it to restore SR lost at seaside.

aka: Back to reality.

A: East Outer Loop again? I don't mind but kind of bored of it. Given there's 6 layouts for Expressway, I expected a different one to last time. I'd like to have seen East Inner Loop instead.

B: Looks the most fun to me if only because it's Gr.2. Gr.2, Seaside and Race B is at least a combination that's never been done before. I'll likely be spending more time here than other races.

C: I'll only do this if it's the Sambabus.

We need the south version again with the docks / containers and the pit stop in the parking garage. It's only been on once and quite a fun course to drive.

GR.2 Seaside has been done before, before the format changed to weeklies. It was a net positive SR combo too, so maybe not so bad!
