Just pay attention to top left corner and BoP, if is Off and car from garage, then you can tune some levels.

Though this monster RS comes even more hard to handle with level 3...
Thank you for the knowledge. It was driving me crazy watching people somehow destroy me in a straight line.

So how many short shifting m4’s will we encounter in race C today? :boggled:

You can short shift all you want but I don't think your gonna do a no stop today on yamagiwa.
If you do your gonna loose too much time.

You can save a bit of time in the pits but that's about it... But I'm happy to be proved wrong.
I'm sure the fuel save was just exaggerated at brands hatch the other day. Or it's the fact that at high speed tracks the fuel save isn't as pronounced.

And hello again after seeing you in my first race of the day.

Edit...... a few hours later it is totally possible been racing tonight and the top S rank drivers I was matched aginst were winning the race doing it.

Omg, I did 4 races wondering why some cars were so much faster. I was starting to suspect my controller was faulty yet most other people were driving the same pace as me. Nice one PD!

Yes I saw you deep in the field behind a bunch of unusually fast B and C drivers. I waited until I got to 15 clean races before I told everyone here haha At least now everyone is on a level playing field!

I’ve seen red bar connections before but black bar?

Was the most scumbag race I’ve been in tonight

The race after was glorious! I finished third after starting third, first and second took each other out on the first lap but I made an error that dropped me back a couple of places. Wonderful stuff

Raced twice. The 1st one was normal seems everyone including me don’t notice no BoP implemented. I got win.

2nd race I started at 4th. By the 1st corner already 1.xs behind the guys ahead. In the end, over 10s after 6 laps. And 1/3 didn’t cross the line when time up.

Thanks mates give me the answer.

Tell me about it, I also did a C race about an hour ago, this was the first race for me since the 1.14 update and it looks like the dirty drivers have a completely free pass now.
Some idiot hit me with certainly more than 20 km/h excessive speed braking into the fast left turn 6 pushing me out very wide and apparently he didn't even get any penalty at all... watching the replay he didn't even bother to brake before crashing into me.

Race B ... im in SR hell as I dropped from S to C in like a week ... how can I ever recover ..?
Look at the video, a bizzare rolling start and the i get a penalty in the first corner and then someone spun me out in second corner ... I will try Race C. Might be easier to be clean on that track...

:( (nothing to do with GTS...life sometimes ain´t that easy)

I hear ya,' friend. Hope everything works out for the best!

Does that race use garage cars or is it a rental like the A-races? I only saw one car that wasn't yellow. I'm not on right now to check it out.

This is a one make race - Peugot ...

Phew. ... I managed to get from SR C to SR A on only 3 races (Race C - Gr. 4) Lots of space on that track so it never got to crowded in the turns.
Last race I started 7 and came in as 2nd with a clean race. That did the trick and now SR A....:gtpflag:

Raced Daily Race C all day today and had tons of fun. Super clean races, and managed to get the 15 consecutive clean race achievement. Sadly, you can clearly see the advantage of short shifting the M4 has (I didn't use it once), but other cars were still able to compete. It was cool to see several GT Planet members throughout the day.

We had nice and clean battles

One guy messaged me first saying I love your YouTube channel, then did a massive dive bomb into the hairpin (Kyoto) and punted me off track haha.

Starting to not bother about where I finish seems my DR never really moves anyway, seem to be fixed around the 25k mark

Ha! Cheers :) Although, of course it was you who put me on the Lexus.*

Seems qualifying times makes a bit of a difference. I started C Race with a 1:38.9 and 2nd ran a 1:40. When the race started I had at least a .800 gap right out of the first corner. Other races where 2nd had a 1:39.4 and wasn’t as far back:dunce:

This has neither been confirmed or denied, but I feel like it's accurate.
The other day at Monza I had a 1:56.4 qualifying time and on my last race of the night 2nd was a full second behind me in qualifying.

Normally at Monza 2nd place is breathing down your neck at the first chicane and I take the inside line just to be clear there aren't going to be any shenanigans. Except this time 2nd place was still relatively far back so I could take my normal line instead.

I've been saying this too... I'm sure that it does. I've been given P1 3 times consecutively before when I was B and matched with all B, then the 4th and 5th race been moved up to racing against A and S.

Took asm off. Shouldnt of bothered. Like sailing royal caribbean harmony of the seas.

Have you got CSA and TCS on? I'm sure someone said before that ASM slows down, CSA speed you up. But whatever you find enjoyable really :)👍

The main draw of GTS for me is BoP, near equal footing for everyone, no need to understand car settings to do well.

This! Having a conversation on another thread about tuning... it would kill the accessibility for me.

Well that was unexpected. Thought I would try race C, did 4 laps qualifying and managed to 1:41.1 with the Audi TT (easy car to drive in the limited testing space I had). Started the race in 8th and expected the usual midfield melee, but steadily gained places instead being 4th by the time most people pitted at the end of lap 5. I decided to go for an extra lap but my tires were worn and by the time I had pitted and came out I had dropped a place. I expected everyone to slowly drive away from me, but instead I closed up and with people picking up penalties I ended up in 3rd place and only 2 seconds behind. Good race I thought.

The weird thing though was the DR points I gained - 2767 points, so now I am an AS racer. Does that mean I have to practice?

Best move a 2 at once pass :)

Nice one and welcome to A :) once you get clear of the border between B and A, life gets much harder. I started 12th and 15th with a 1.41.362 last night... a very difficult to place to earn more DR from!

*After the talk of Citroen, I tried it last night and only managed a 1.41.6 (my previous best on Yama Gr. 4 was 1.41.7) which I wasn't happy with so I switched to the Genesis. I've been practising with it recently and it is one of only 2 RWD cars I can drive with TCS off, meaning I can get the most out of the car. I feel really restricted after corners with the Citroen having to maintain TCS 2... Anyway, set a 1.41.4 on my first lap than a 1.41.362 after another few. Annoyingly my optimal was 1.40.8xx :( but time was running out so I had to make do and enter a race... started 12th (door number 12), had moved up to 10th and was doing ok until some cock in a gold M4 ****ed the chicane up and whilst trying to right himself was weaving across the track, I tried to evade to the right but he swerved right at the same time, hit his bumper and got 10 second penalty. Had to pull over and serve it, losing 6 positions :(

Second race was better... started 15th (door number 19!), pitted on lap 4 and then had a fantastic 6 lap battle with 3 other guys, fortunately I made no mistakes in the rest of the race and passed them all at one time or another to finish 11th. The last lap was interesting though: I was braking early and driving cautiously to avoid mistakes, constantly with a Vantage and a 458 up my arse . Finished with clean race bonus though which was very pleasing, especially given the tight battle with multiple other racers.

DR down 188 in race 1, up 111 in race 2 ...

So the daily races and the fia races this week have been pretty trash need some more good real world tracks. Might have to go over and play something on the pc tonight after seeing those races

Fully turned up comtroller sensitivity to 7, works better, just getting the hang of havinf no asm. Starting to get similar lap times. Tcs stays on 2 for most cars for now.

Good shout.. reckon you will start bettering your old times once you get used it

Tonight's race A looks interesting.. A track (variation) I haven't driven yet in a car I haven't driven yet. Should be fun.

Drove race B last night. Got a pretty good time set and was bombed and rammed in the races so much I kept starting at pole for five straight. The RS16 was a rewarding car to drive. Definitely had to think how to take the corners so I could exit fast. I think Maggiore has surpassed Big Willow as my favorite track. Somehow it never gets boring.

The divebomber just wanted to be on your youtube channel.:p

I’ll not give him the satisfaction, I had a fantastic race last night so I’ll bbe uploading that one later. After the horse racing has finished for the day, that is..

The Quali for Yamagiwa yesterday got me crazy. Yamagiwa was one of my weaker tracks (don't know why) and i wanted to get to grips with it. But that damn double chicane! :D So many laps were destroyed there, i think i never had to do so many laps to get a laptime, which i'm satisfied with. Even on this lap,i did not nail the double chicane like it should.

Just don't look at the lapcount on the right :D
