Ha! Cheers

Although, of course it was you who put me on the Lexus.*
Seems qualifying times makes a bit of a difference. I started C Race with a 1:38.9 and 2nd ran a 1:40. When the race started I had at least a .800 gap right out of the first corner. Other races where 2nd had a 1:39.4 and wasn’t as far back
This has neither been confirmed or denied, but I feel like it's accurate.
The other day at Monza I had a 1:56.4 qualifying time and on my last race of the night 2nd was a full second behind me in qualifying.
Normally at Monza 2nd place is breathing down your neck at the first chicane and I take the inside line just to be clear there aren't going to be any shenanigans. Except this time 2nd place was still relatively far back so I could take my normal line instead.
I've been saying this too... I'm sure that it does. I've been given P1 3 times consecutively before when I was B and matched with all B, then the 4th and 5th race been moved up to racing against A and S.
Took asm off. Shouldnt of bothered. Like sailing royal caribbean harmony of the seas.
Have you got CSA and TCS on? I'm sure someone said before that ASM slows down, CSA speed you up. But whatever you find enjoyable really

👍
The main draw of GTS for me is BoP, near equal footing for everyone, no need to understand car settings to do well.
This! Having a conversation on another thread about tuning... it would kill the accessibility for me.
Well that was unexpected. Thought I would try race C, did 4 laps qualifying and managed to 1:41.1 with the Audi TT (easy car to drive in the limited testing space I had). Started the race in 8th and expected the usual midfield melee, but steadily gained places instead being 4th by the time most people pitted at the end of lap 5. I decided to go for an extra lap but my tires were worn and by the time I had pitted and came out I had dropped a place. I expected everyone to slowly drive away from me, but instead I closed up and with people picking up penalties I ended up in 3rd place and only 2 seconds behind. Good race I thought.
The weird thing though was the DR points I gained - 2767 points, so now I am an AS racer. Does that mean I have to practice?
Best move a 2 at once pass
Nice one and welcome to A

once you get clear of the border between B and A, life gets much harder. I started 12th and 15th with a 1.41.362 last night... a very difficult to place to earn more DR from!
*After the talk of Citroen, I tried it last night and only managed a 1.41.6 (my previous best on Yama Gr. 4 was 1.41.7) which I wasn't happy with so I switched to the Genesis. I've been practising with it recently and it is one of only 2 RWD cars I can drive with TCS off, meaning I can get the most out of the car. I feel really restricted after corners with the Citroen having to maintain TCS 2... Anyway, set a 1.41.4 on my first lap than a 1.41.362 after another few. Annoyingly my optimal was 1.40.8xx

but time was running out so I had to make do and enter a race... started 12th (door number 12), had moved up to 10th and was doing ok until some cock in a gold M4 ****ed the chicane up and whilst trying to right himself was weaving across the track, I tried to evade to the right but he swerved right at the same time, hit his bumper and got 10 second penalty. Had to pull over and serve it, losing 6 positions
Second race was better... started 15th (door number 19!), pitted on lap 4 and then had a fantastic 6 lap battle with 3 other guys, fortunately I made no mistakes in the rest of the race and passed them all at one time or another to finish 11th. The last lap was interesting though: I was braking early and driving cautiously to avoid mistakes, constantly with a Vantage and a 458 up my arse

. Finished with clean race bonus though which was very pleasing, especially given the tight battle with multiple other racers.
DR down 188 in race 1, up 111 in race 2 ...
