Congratulations! Now what does it mean? :odd:

The possibility of being in those Top 16 Superstar races (if he's fast enough) AND the possibility of being invited to the World Tour (again if he's fast enough).
And the potential to be awarded DR S if I recall correctly. That rating is bestowed for a season to "champion" grade drivers and is independant of actual DR score.

Ahhhaaaa! All of which I'll likely never see . Thanks guys. :)

Finally getting better so had a test night out at spa. I am starting to learn the track a bit more, where you can push and where to take it easy, that sort of thing. Did a no qual first te as I only had 2 practice laps since Saturday and didn't want to be in a pack. Started 17. Was 11th with a lap to go when I spun from getting my wheels on the kerb while gassing it on the middle double left. Sorry guys, don't know the turm names. Dropped me back to 13 but still a decent enough finish. Tried again but put a lap time in and I am definitely going to struggle qualifying here.

Second race i Put a 22 something so started mid pack. Was up to 7th heading into last lap when the guy behind me coming out of the pits drafts past after radillon and brake checks me to clear through the chicane. Swerves everywhere to stop me passing which lets one of my regular barge passes catch up. I had a gap on him and was hoping to avoid it. Nope. Get a clean run around the black knight in front and he proceeds to run me clean off the road into stavelot, but no penalty. I manage not to crash and stay on his tail, but barge boy comes in and runs me wide on that next turn where he doesn't get penalized either. Oh well. Still moves up. Still learning. Kept my SR tidy and not too big points loss.

Definitely got people knowing where to game the track limits to make their push passes so hopefully the update fixes that. I was doing the non-stop in the 911. Heard the RC F and others can do it, but I can't drive the citroen. Don't know that I am fast enough to pit. We'll have to test, but enjoying learning the track.

I can't drive the citroen.

It surely needs some adaption. It tends to understeer a bit but you can go late on the brakes (I use -3). It doesn't like the cones so be aware of them and avoid.

For the rest she is gentle and stable to drive. However, when you shortshift or change gears at low revs, you lose a bit that sense of speed but it definitely is there if you look at the speedo. (Uploading vid as we speak)

nice race from yesterday where I messed up the fuel calculation....

First GTS of the week and I've gone to Tokyo.

I enjoy hot lapping this track, but the Mazda isn't the best car for it. Done a 1:41.474, but that is me done here for the week. The Mazda doesn't really encourage you to keep chipping away at your time.

Will try Red Bull Ring next and will leave Spa until after the update tomorrow.

Isn't DR S dependent on FIA races and a DR of 50k +? If you don't do the FIA events you sit on A+.
I don't remember the details, only that it'll be a long, long time before I can hope to be elligible. It'll probably be GT7 or 8 before my skill level improves enough to put me up for whatever they're giving out at that stage. Doesn't matter as long as I'm having fun :D

Edit: Race B, Red Bull Ring. P5 > P4, one SR down and two track limit penalties. DR up ~800, SR -1. Combined with last night's glitched grid, that puts SR at 93 and DR ~7.3K

Another good one. Just held up a little by that R8 in the first couple laps and the Vantage on the last lap.

I just passed a 911 RSR out of fuel all the way back at Piff Paff. That's a major miscalculation. Fun race, I qualified for the first time this week, knowing it will get wiped tomorrow. 2:23:4x put me att p13, finished at p10.

Edit: +523 Dr, +10 SR. Pleased

I ain't proud of it, but I smashed this player multiple times. On warm up, a TT hits me off at T2. I get back on and an F-Type bumps me on my side. Then, proceeeds to bump me off the track. At race start, it starts ahead of me. If goes wide at T1, I take the inside line. The F-type squeezes me off and bumps me off to polish off the move.

Oh, he didn't get away with it. S/S rank be damned! That's all I have to say about it.

I think I see a number of posters in the 2:17s on the qually for Race C. Respect is due. I'm still in the 18s and think I'm just about at my limit in the Audi.
I think the Lambo is gonna be the one to get me into the 17s if anything. Done loads of laps in the Supra (chose it for Manufacturers so may as well get used to it!) and have my fastest optimal in that at 18.1, Audi has my fastest lap at 18.4 with an optimal of 18.3 but my optimal in the Lambo was faster than my optimal in the Audi after about 4 laps - which totally flies in the face of what I said last week when I found it undriveable in a lobby around Spa. I'm just incredibly inconsistent with it and something is telling me it can't take Eau Rouge flat, I keep ignoring that something though, trying again and picking up a 0.5s penalty!

Will try after the update, and grab the bull by the horns

Then get gored to death!

What the heck?! I start 4th. 3rd place WRX goes wide at T1. I stay behind it into T2. It goes wide at T2. I stop shorter and grab the spot. An F-Type(different one) is menacing the WRX to T3. I keep the inside line and still get punted off! Finished 6th, but the WRX finishes 2nd. Unbelievable.

Anyway, was gifted the M3 GT. I'll try that at SPa.

Did some Race C qual laps in the Ford GT, took a second off to reach 2:22.587 with another half second down to optimal. It's harder to be consistent with than my usual FR rides though.... :( .... in nearly all the FR cars I've tried, best and optimal were equal or very nearly so.
I'll probably never get near that time for the rest of the week after the reset we're expecting tomorrow

Amazing what a little SPa can do

Older car just doesn't have the downforce of the newer cars in these long radius turns. That's where I was losing my time. BMW brakes and straightline speed(the gearing) are its strengths. Back to the RC F for the rest of the week.

Next time you're here, come to Ghent, you wil like it a lot! If you let me know, we can have a few beers togheter...you will like it even better!

Well it was 20odd years ago, I was just a kid, hopefully it’s improved since then. Think the only thing I bought was a Tasmanian Devil figure bubble bath  I used to collect bubble bath figures.
Always wanted to go to Spa though, one of my favourite tracks.

Zocker was live streaming Spa yesterday and racing from the back in the 911.. FM2 and no stop and he was doing 2:21 - 2:23 but did notch a 2:20 as a one off. The fastest lap was in the 2:19's ... maybe @zavisic_ can give more detail as he was right up there 👍
Ferrari 458, needs almost no work with fuel but is a bit tricky to drive and tyres need special care. For me it is the best car, I can do 18:44.xx without any problems. The nature of the race doesnt allow to go much faster than that though. I would say around 18:40 is the limit.
You have also Huracan, second best probably. Not enjoyable for tho, needs alot more fuel saving.
Porsche RSR is a safe and good car to use, but certainly not the best.

DR S is dependent on FIA seasons, but you don't need to be A+. There's an argument to be made that you should need to be A+ to hold the S rank but it's not the case. You can be DR D and still have an S Rank if you finish high enough in your region/country/manufacturer rankings.

I've watched a legit 16.5 in the R8. I'm on 18.6 at the moment and while I can see room for some improvement, 16.5 is insane.
