GR2 Autopolis. NSX
Q-time 1:36.178 BB-2

Have been testing the steerig rotation setting in my T300RS. The difference in turn in ability is huge. I use one left setting from the d-pad.
(For T300RS you need to push MODE button and use d-pad simultaneus. Needs to be done in race or Q-lap after the start)
Gives much faster steering. How does this affect, well now I can use same BB setting as some streamers do.

Before I had to use heavy rear bias to get better turn in, now can go front bias and get much better turn in,
This makes hitting later apex easy, also helps countersteer a lot.
Now why I want to use front bias? It gives much more stable car when powering out corners --> thus better lap times.

My optimum is 1:35.50x, so the speed is there, just need to reprogram my brain to faster steering

@Redneckchef
I always use automs every track tcs3 myself gr2.
I get matched up against some pretty quick folks and that car is less used but sometimes you see someone really quick up high on the leaderboard with it.
I don’t rev it out much either.
If you hold tighter lines and don’t push into understeer much pre apex in the longer corners tires should be fine.
You gotta have t1 stone cold locked down
and also the weird hairpin into the downhill run.
Lots of time in those and when you have them down it prevents folks from trying anything questionable under braking.
Not saying anything about how or what people drive, I still keep TCS on2 for gr2 cars, I just flat out don't have that pace for the full race. My rears are normally fine but know when I got punted and had a big slide they were showing it. I agree with you on the big time gains in the hairpin and turn 1. Also taking a clean smooth line on the uphill, that is definitely a place where pushing kills your time and tires. Lining up that Crest hairpin is hard but worth a good half a second to nail it.

Strange races today on B.
First one started 10th, spread of 4 seconds qually time, couple of DR A's and A+, all the rest B.
Second one started 15th, spread of 2 seconds qually time, all DR B.
Last one started 3rd, DR A to D, over 10 seconds in qually time between first to last! This was 3 consecutive races from 6pm UK time

had a really fun day of races at fuji. more than a few of them having some friends from here. the racing was about as clean as can be expected, no one is perfect. the last handful of races were great. had some good battles with @BenRod and another guy who's name I forget lol I needed a break and got really sloppy the last race. taking a break but am probably gonna run a few more before wife gets home

here's a clip from Autopolis onboard ..

Looks very similar to my lap (not)!

Best I could manage was a 1.44, so I decided to start from the back without qualifying tonight, so as not to get in anyone's way! Worked out OK though, as I had 9th, 8th and then 7th place finishes.

I saw you in one of the races, think you took a trip into the wall on the start/finish straight at one point? Couldn't tell whether you were helped, or managed it on your own.

This is from last night, shows the power of the undercut nicely. If the leader was somebody else I might've committed to the move fully but it's not worth the risk against friends.

The 7 lap stint is no problem on the mediums, you can go as slow as you want everywhere as long as you get a good exit from the last corner, with the dirty air you're not going to be passed.

I did a no stop on race B and lost 1000 DR :ouch:

I can try a no stop on race C, might lose less DR if I don't fall asleep during the race.

A is a far better proposition for DR starting from the back but **** me it's tedious.

Not enough time or overtaking opportunities on B. Race C is, well, no.

Minimal racing for me this week. A bit of hot lapping to earn the daily cars on the main account, not much action on the alt.

I've been keeping myself busy with testing intermediate vs heavy wet tires and GT League fake grip vs custom race real grip.

The biggest difference is in the GR.2 race at RBR, GT League is all on fake grip :/

RBR 10:45 rain GR.2 Motul Autech Stock start 16th 10 laps GT League pro
1:34.3 best lap 2nd place Heavy wet
1:32.6 best lap 1st place Intermediates
RBR 10:45 rain GR.2 Motul Autech Stock start 16th 10 laps Pro AI grip real
1:43.3 best lap 18th place Heavy wet
1:48.8 best lap 20th place Intermediates

With real grip you might as well always use heavy wet tires. They are close with light rain but for me heavy wet still edges out intermediates. Intermediates are only useful in GT League with fake grip.

The amount of rain and grip reduction is different depending on the time
Spa: Morning light rain, mid day heavy rain, dusk medium rain.
RBR: Morning medium rain, mid day heavy rain, dusk light rain.
Tokyo: Morning light rain, mid day heavy rain, dusk medium rain.

I only checked the full track for RBR and east outer loop for Tokyo. Variants might have different rain settings again. Actually I did test east inner loop at dusk which seemed to be light instead of medium rain as heavy wets and intermediates pretty much yield the same lap times. Dusk as east outer loop has 2 sec difference per lap with heavy wets in favor.

So yeah, keeping myself busy out of sport mode

Currently doing the Porsche endurance race on N24 👍 See if I can win it with CRB!

Put in a little hot lap session on Fuji ...

That's @Pigems ghost...

No stop attempt 1 from back, accidentally set q time, but started last anyways from 28k 99.
A plus A to mostly B.
It SUCKS when people come out of pit. Luckily I didn’t get bashed off.
Ended nine.
I don’t reccomend doing this, but I am gonna roll in country again. I didn’t block or mess up anyone’s race in the first one, so hope to keep it clean again...

All props to you for making it. I don't think I'm that brave.

Only time for a few races today. A mixed DR room on the first one. I started p9 and finished p6. I bettered my qualifying time to 2:00.9xx, and gave it another go after. The second two races were both almost entire C rooms with a couple of B/Ds. I took the pole for both.

For the first race, I pulled away in the first few turns, and then put it into the bin at the dumbest place...like one I've never even considered (coming out turn 7??? My tires hit a little bit of grass and that was it). It was messy all around afterwards. I was so slow, and kept messing up when I went to overtake. I ended up finishing p5.

The next race, I chilled out a bit. I pulled away and never looked back. Its amazing how being a little more chill made me faster. Ran a PB 2:00.2xx and won by over 10 seconds. I think I'll be DR B after a couple more races.

Whew! Strapped the helmet on for the last time this evening, and had a fairly chaotic race. A plus a to B lost 139 Dr first time out still 99. So, my worst fears came true. Lap 8 sitting fourth due to a LOT of mistakes people made I am coming down the hill and an a plus was serving up a pen, I had plenty of gap to the cars behind, but it was the unghost or not distraction and I hung the drivers side rear tire off on entry and went through that fast right in a drift with 3 cars in hot pursuit...
I managed to save it, but finally I was punted and passed, then just trying to hang on really a car behind spun me...
laptime 2:00...Dangit.
Ended up ninth, but my plan was to let the a plus through at first opportunity and continue the battle to stay ahead of the others but it was not to be...
I finished ninth best lap 40.3.
It’s a fun strategy but you have to be very very aware...serious, I kinda think it’s fun.
No lower dr drivers were harmed in any of these attempts.
Do not try this at home...I have to wonder how that one would have turned out if the a plus hadn’t taken a pen...

EDIT, just looked net effect was -425 Dr. Sr unchanged (total for two nonstops from last)
I think if a person is gonna attempt this race or is on the fence...turn on the line, makes it easier to know where to be amidst distraction from the other cars, and just run your own race, rely on attrition.

If you get off track the game treats your tyres as "dirty" for about a quarter lap and you'll lose traction very easily until they clean up. If you're not careful in the period you'll catch grass or sand trap again and have to re-start the clean up distance.
