@sturk0167 great fun as always. I couldn’t get by that Canadian.

@Dairyworker I raced up an appetite, I’ll be back after I feed the beast.

What are ya’ll running for BB? I started at 2 to the rear and moved up to 1.
Since the car rotates just fine, I don't need rear brake bias to induce oversteer.
I'm certainly no expert, but I've been running -3 BB to slow the car down better. Tomorrow, I'll try it with -5.
Or maybe just do whatever MCA does. Obviously it works for him, but doesn't suit my driving style quite as well.

Three races from pole at Maggiore today. The first one was an utter disaster, as I bottled it on lap 2 and fell down to 6th or so. While overtaking someone around the outside of T1 on lap 3, he punted me wide and I fell further down the order to 10th. I was running 9th until the last corner, where I gained two positions due to an incident. -445 DR for my efforts :(

It took two more races to recover. The guy who started P2 in my next race gave me a hard time initially (which was expected, since his Q time was a 56.1), but I broke the slipstream after the banked hairpin on lap 3 and won by 1.3s. Second place in the final race binned it at T4, and I was immediately clear to eventually finish 12s up the road. Damage repaired :)

I also tried to improve my Q time yesterday night to no avail. All I could improve was my optimal, which is, annoyingly, sitting at 1:55.693 while my actual Q time is stuck at 1:55.978 :ouch:

@dlshearon i have been running 1 to the rear. @sturk0167 has me wondering though.... like he says what MCA uses usually works for me but not always.

2 races in and so far, so good. Know and trusted opponent on pole both races. I have started 2 both times. The mid field is also trusted names and the couple i didn't recognize proved their worth quickly. No matter as me and the other gentleman put a few seconds gap to third both times.

Race 3 coming up.....

It seems like a long time since I've raced with you. Hopefully I can find you on the track, tomorrow morning. 👍

Is everyone thar is in race C trying to run the hard/ medium mix? I have just been doing the simple split med/med with no problem for the 2 races I did. No penalties or anything.

The undercut is a potent weapon there if you can manage the tires for a 7 at any point. In my high powered lobby I somehow started 12 and was running 6th at end of lap 6?!?! But a guy that 2 of us had passed pulled an.undercut to perfection and either switched to hards or finally smoothed out his style as he was able to pass 3 of us on the pit and hold on. I lost out and dropped back down to 9th after the pit cycles but held on. Actually made clean precise passes (a huge weakness for me on any tight track) came home with a couple DR and a CRB! Surprised I pulled it off in that lobby, couple A+ and lots of A drivers but I was able to hang with the front for most of.it. I am not a huge fan of the combo but as I seem to be able to really manage tires well here and am refinding my groove for the track I might have to stay as I am hopeless at maggiore. And I can only rarely figure out Race A.

Have you seen people no-stopping that race?

Got the next two days off work. Flat to myself tonight. Gone to Fuji.

Not my favourite track, but I like the Toyota (it is overused tho). Had a few laps on Monday night too, with a fastest lap 2:01.9xx.

Watched @Mistah_MCA track guide (good stuff as per usual) on Tuesday and I’ve been itching to get back on track! My own logic with breaking points and gears are about right, I’m just scrubbing off too much speed and not being smooth enough.

Tonight after about 60 miles of driving, I’m down to 2:00.787. And maybe Fuji is making a bit more sense to me now.......maybe!

Tomorrow, I’ll try some races on second account to see how to avoid the turn 1 punt fest. I’m thinking if it’s possible to survive that I could collect myself some decent DR points over the next two days.

Would be nice if we had some N400 or N500 cars for one makes for race A occasionally.

When I watch that fella's lap guides, and he says something like "start braking where you see a brown spot in the grass", I often wonder where the hell that is, in relation to my cones (I frequently use them :dopey:).

@DelboyD nice time. I got a .736 haven't put in a good session since Monday but i doubt i can beat it. I also feel like the track is growing on me. It could be the wheel, it still feels new, although i guess its close to a year (xmas). Point being, that tracks i never liked before i seem to enjoy now that i am not using a ds4. Anyway, i ramblin....

I agree that they should really use n300 cars and up a lot more often on race A I know its the "beginner" race, but some of us just like road cars....

Fast guys are showing up now, starting 4, 5 last race. Still podiumed (is that a word) clean racing, people made mistakes....

I run line a lot lately. Cones too. C race line helps me an awful lot.
I notice often the braking points and turn ins have more to do with little humps on track or whatnot that give more grip at those points.

@Dairyworker
I think some n300 at Goodwood or Brands would be a kick! Integra is one of the few ff cars I like, be fun to matchup against others...Like musclecars or something...

There is no one no stopping that I have seen. Maybe Lightning could do it but it is a tire management race. Fuel is no issue at all but you have to really be careful of the tires. Autopolis kills the fronts and it being gr2 makes the rears go as well. I found the hard nasty last time so haven't tried them at all, but as long as I am not in a crash or huge slide of any kind I can keep the mediums pretty solid for 6 laps. Was hitting a 1:41 on my in lap in the faster race

Also add I have only done 2 races last night so probably not the most educated on it this time

One of the things I've been noticing as a DR C/D and SR S driver is that I almost never get a room of all DR D or even DR C/D. I guess those of us who are slow typically don't have manners! I was a P3/4 qualifier last night with people who had a qual lap a full three seconds faster on the pole.

I feel your pain, I have not really a idea what was the problem with us slower boys, but RBR really killed me. Real pity because I like that circuit!

It's not that slower guys have less manners. It's more to do with the wider range of braking/turn it/acceleration points than you get with faster drivers.

Watch the top ten replays, and they're all very similar. Watch replays from slower guys, and you'll see much bigger differences in what they're doing, but still resulting in similar lap times.

No stop wouldn’t be that tough, it’s just you’re basically on D the whole race.
With the aggressive players I play on the main meds are far safer. I did seven laps on meds and the last 2 I was losing time.
I think on wheel it’s just a big advantage, well that and tcs 3.
Imo shouldn’t have trouble with rears at say 38-39 racepace.
The problem with hards is if for some reason you have to fight traffic or if you start sucking someone along and they are on meds. You will be a sitting duck out there.
Since my q time puts me up the field a bit I ain’t playin on these trips in country it’s time to...run.

Yeah, about that and the fact if is my qualifying time. You race that fast, I will chill with my time. Did put in a 39 on 1 lap though. I can say that the different rhythm sections favor different styles and cars though. Kept losing time to 1 driver in first tight section of corners but was getting it all back on the uphill section. Great yo-yo run that way for a few laps till they finally nailed the back once and got me on the front straight.
@sturk0167 I manage best taking it easy and coasting a bit through the tight doubles, as long as you don't crash or spin tires should be fine. Oh yeah, curbs are lethal. Especially outside curb turn 1. No power down on the curbs, at least not at my skill level

Not usually a fan of reverse tracks but I must admit that Maggiore is not too shabby at all..good fun indeed.

3rd, 2nd with the scooby and thought I’d try something different, and lo and behold it’s a rare victory in a Toyota of all things..!!

@Redneckchef
I always use automs every track tcs3 myself gr2.
I get matched up against some pretty quick folks and that car is less used but sometimes you see someone really quick up high on the leaderboard with it.
I don’t rev it out much either.
If you hold tighter lines and don’t push into understeer much pre apex in the longer corners tires should be fine.
You gotta have t1 stone cold locked down
and also the weird hairpin into the downhill run.
Lots of time in those and when you have them down it prevents folks from trying anything questionable under braking.
