I don't think anyone is trying to condemn cockpit view. As I said, I would prefer to use it. That said, I take the comment about have "no problem" racing clean with a grain of salt. If you aren't seeing people, there is a good chance that what you may have thought was someone else's dirty move was actually something caused by your inability to see where they are.
That's the biggest issue I have seen with it. I simply lose a sense of where other people are relative to me and the radar isn't good enough.
It's not as good as real life. In real life I can see things in my peripheral vision. In the game, I can't see anything.
I got up a bit early this morning, so I could do some Lemans racing before work. I'm glad I did. Most fun I've had on the track in a long time.
I did 3 races from the back (Sven was there all 3 times), and used 3 different cars. @Groundfish don't qualify on your alt account. It's a lot of fun racing from the back in this race.
I had a blast following Sven through the field. 👍
Here's a clip of lap 1 from the second race, where somehow I managed to make it from 15th to 6th before the end of lap 1.
Not that I did anything great, but people are just having a lot of trouble getting around the track.
Sven was ahead of me until the end of the lap when something happened to him. He was ghosted when I went by.
@Sven Jurgens your car has little bits of lag from time to time.
Porsche 962C was the best all-around car, that I tried.
Be careful out there, fellas. That first lap is full of danger.
*Full disclosure: I ran into Sven's car about 3 times this morning.![]()
I drove the Nissan as well as the Porsche. Speed is about the same, but the Porsche has better braking, handling, tire wear, and fuel economy is pretty close, I think. Sven hasn't added it to his Lemans fuel economy list, yet. That looks like the lemans race c I remember from last time. Keeping it o track and straight can make up plenty of positions at the start when everyone crashes due to slipstream.
I'm one of those who likes to try the no stopper until it is shown to not work for me, @Sven Jurgens is that short shifting getting the 962C all the way through the race? Any luck with the Nissans?

The 10,000 race was pretty uneventful. I finished 9th on the mountain in the Lexus. CRB, safe at 99 SR.
The amount of races I finished is different in game and on KP:
9,581 (game) / 9,593 (KP) races finished out of 10,000, 96% completion rate.
Just over 400 races unfinished due to random disconnects either by the GTS server, my crappy ISP or a total power failure, impatiently switching to the next race (quit to enter the other race with 1 minute to go), missing the start and getting timed out, pausing too long to answer the door / phone, simply quitting a hopeless room or quitting to lower DR.

I wasnt even involved in any incidents other than these. idk if the green car blamed me for when someone else rear ended him but hes a ****ing goon. im bringing back my hit list for him. everyone had red dots but me and i think 1 other car. i use bumper cam so i couldn't even see the last one coming.

Thanks for confirmation, I usually run out at least once before I figure out how to manage a no stop properly. Even pulled it off in the TS050 last time.Yes, easily. The R92CP can do it too but you have to shift before 50% as far as I can remember. I'm having too much fun in the 962C to switch. This combo has been on so many times, I've driven all the cars, done all the measurements between stop and no stop, AT and MT. GR.C is simply more fun to drive. It's a shame the other 3 need to pit for fuel or use fuel mapping to crawl around. Drafting a Jag or 787B in the Porsche is awesome, rev limiter flashing but not bouncing off yet. And then they pit![]()

Tried a no-stopper with the L750RH. In both races I had to use FL2 with shortshift. Ended in the back of the field. Impossible to keep up against the fleet of Toyota's. Seems more like a single make, like on Bathurst with the Mégane![]()

On the other hand when I don't have the pace and all the stoppers annihilate me on the last lap

If the re-used races only occurred during the time the World Tours were happening, then this would be much less of a problem. But unfortunately, a lot of the races in the past few... many weeks have all been reused. Let's take a look at the past... while of races, and see which ones have been repeated earlier this year. World Tour weeks (week of and before) will be in italic, since the person who makes these races tends to publish 2 weeks' worth of races before they head out. Bold will note new daily races:I wonder if that's the reason for the recycled races though. If the person who makes the Daily Races ("Dave") is involved with the World Tour events, then Dave doesn't have time to do anything to prepare the Daily Races for the following week and just picks 3 races and settings used before as a quick and easy option.
Someone said in a previous post that the last time this set of recycled races appeared was around the time of the June World Tour event, which would tally with this theory.
With no World Tour events coming up for a while, Dave has no excuse not to come up with something different next week. One of the races is almost guaranteed to be Laguna Seca next week.

So while we are getting new Daily Race combinations, repeats are still a big thing. Just from the list in the spoiler, they are more common than new combinations. There are even some listed here that have been repeated multiple times in this year. If a repeat was used sparingly, this wouldn't be much of a problem (except for Yamagiwa II with Honda Beat. That one is pure torture), but when there are weeks where all we are getting are repeats, and/or when they are being used more often, it personally makes me frustrated.
As I stated in my last rant.. somewhere.. there are so many cars that have never seen the light of day in a Daily Race. For example, the Gr. X version of the R.S.01 can be perfectly used at Spa. That car loves fast and flowing tracks, and racing it at Spa makes it a perfect combination (thanks for hosting the race, @Bivittavus88 !). That also gives people a reason to buy the car, whether that is through in-game credits or real-life money. Or what about trying a Daily race with any car that fits into the Nx00 class under BOP? I think that's happened a few times before. Even though there's always going to be that one stupidly-OP car, it's still awesome to bring out a non-meta car just because you want to go have some fun in it or show off that awesome livery you made.
Whether it's because of World Tour reasons or not, I want more variety in these daily races. I'm going to save the rant, since I did that last week (I think), but yeah. That's all I'm going to say.
Edit: I'll most likely stop posting about the repeated Daily races from now on, since it always results in me ranting. I blame @sturk0167 for this.

Screw em. Switch to the 787B.The party is unfortunately already over, at least in the 90-99 SR range. All TS050s, VGTs and the 908. You can still pass them in the 962C but not as fun as flying by a hybrid. Those TS050s are also annoying bumper bumpers. They can keep up while drafting the 962C, yet when they lose the draft they are easily passed again so I usually have one on my back through the Porsche and Corvette curves. Oh well another one make in the making.
Screw em. Switch to the 787B.
