I’ve been meaning to catch up on watching the grass grow. N200 could be a good one though.
A and b are out definitely.

Next week's combos are up, Gr.4 Autopolis, provided car, likely the FF set, Gr.3 at Interlagos, and N200 one-make at the Nordschleife, grid start with false start, fuel X3, tyres x5. Could be an interesting new car, or more likely the new Toyota 86 from this week's update.
Next week will be the 4th consecutive week in which I'm not interested in daily race c...
Probably my longest break from the game..

I'm guessing they didn't enjoy the influx of players spa brought...

Oof

At least the dailies aren't distracting me from FIA this week

Also yeah, race B is with Gr.3 ;)

They've gotten so bad at this lol. If the N200 car end up being the "new" orange 86 I'll die laughing.

Forget the flashy new Vision GT car that was just released. Ruf is back, but nah. M3 or the RX-7 might be something different. But no let's go with the car that was already in the game, but has a spoiler now. Bruh.

But hurray for new content!

Something I noticed yesterday, that I haven't seen before is when I brake for the Mulsanne chicanes, the back end of my car is stepping out a bit. So that makes me ease off of the brakes, to straighten it out, and I'm entering the chicanes with a bit too much speed.
It's happening with the BB at 0, but it's reacting as if all the braking is at the rear. Have you noticed this?

I felt that too. I was using the Mazda 787 for the first time ever and I tought it was it's normal behavior. If it's in the new update, it's well done as you really have to brake in a straight line now.

Race C for me all week long!

This week I spent my time on Race A and C. They are at the opposite chart of racing but both are really fun.

Race A are tight pack following each other and waiting for a small mistake. Even then, you may not be able to make an overtake. Good fun. It teaches you patience as divebomber get called out furiously in the post chat. Good clean race there this morning with top 5 finishing in 1.5 sec appart. Me being 5 of course!

Race C is the long game where you try to be fast and consistent. Long straight for passing and not taking risk in curves. Been using 962C and 787. I also tried the TS050 to see what it is all about. Man does this thing get out of corner fast!

But the most fun is screaming past some Toyota with 787. You can hear this thing comming from a long way.

Didn't they have autopolis last week, and i think interlagos was quite recent too (tho maybe a time trial).
Ive never taken anything less than a N600 around the ring. Tried with an mx5 (as i own one) but got bored.

That was the only thing I really noticed different about the car last night. Didn't notice any real change to tire grip but that could be because I was going a tad slower being cautious. Definitely noticed if I tried to brake in anything other than perfect straight line before I got it below 100mph.

Not sure I am going to enjoy any of the races next week, but I'll have a go at them anyway. They all look like a puntathon variety show from what I remember on the first 2. Maybe we will get an interesting car for C. Old stratos anyone?👍

I put the 962C through its paces as well. The pattern continues, best result:
yfWl72A.jpg

Total race time 17:48.956 with best lap of 3:27.544
Pre patch best 17:43.103 with best lap of 3:26.871
The pre patch race was 1.4 sec faster in the first lap, which still leaves 4.5 sec on the table. For me the 962C suffers worse from the patch than the R92CP. It's still the fastest though when adjusting for first lap differences. Perhaps with more races and fine tuning I can get closer to my old time. It seems quite far away though.

Bingo, another penalty to complain about

One of the failed attempts, totally my fault.

Next week is going to be fun, new car maybe, less grip, sports hard tires, grid start, whatever can go wrong.

:lol::lol::lol::lol: Is there even room for a grid start there! It's a daily C as well, 20 cars :lol::lol::lol::lol:

False start check, means a bunch of slow cars in the mix unghosting at any second. Great opportunity for funny videos 👍

I normally enjoy the grid starts with false start check, seem to do very well out of them, but it's going to be chaos there, half the grid's going to be before the last corner, and 20 cars that close for the first part of the Nord? I'll be starting from the back and relying on people crashing out!!

If it's pulling towards the corner I think it's the camber of the road as much as anything. I tried a few cars there some months back and some really lurched to the right when braking for the first chicane. The Veyron VGT was almost uncontrollable

Except on Monday, 70% of the grid starts from the back  I have started 5th on N24 race C without qualifying :nervous: Last time I reset my DR to 1 to get a safer starting position and that was with a rolling start

Lobby racing next week, anyone? BoP'd FF Gr.4's at Autopolis, tyre wear/fuel consumption tbc, laps tbc. Same for Interlagos/Gr.3.

I’m always down for gr3 Lagos bop races.

I did get in that last one, c race. Lap 2 4 hybrids in front of me beginning Mulsanne, leaving Indianapolis pack of four crashing out behind me 2-3 wide. Epic on replay. This is such a fun race with the varying car speeds. Doesn’t hurt that it’s so fun seeing a ts050 in radar exiting the chicane then walking away as top end power kicks in.
One thing I notice is I have never seen anyone choose a defensive line into that tight right hander off Mulsanne. I’ve done it a couple times now when I was in fear of a divenomb. Setup way left of the normal line on entry, start braking early and take it tight down to first way inside. Good avoidance technique becaus no one does it, and people get confused and blow the turn.
I’m still leery about it, but it might be time for dark angel to make an appearance tonight. I’ve gotten spoiled handling wise in the Porsche. Potential second reset of the week incoming if I get tipsy...

Unless you are low on DR points, you arn't gunna start at the back. It's not just Mondays. Traditionaly because of the time it takes to do a lap and the ammount of time allowed for qualifying, you get a lot of non qualifiers. Not many seem to do what I do and qualify with tt without race entry. I think I'll stick to race B next week. I'll probably have a crack at Race C at least once, but one makes bore me to tears.
