Well sure, there are more SR friendly tracks but was it really that bad? I recall people getting fairly aggressive towards the finish given that it’s easier to stay close to the leader on that track compared to a more technical one which in turn might cause on-track fights as worst cases.

According to KPrime it was the first week of January and was an N400 one make, so almost a year ago.

It's been used a couple of times in FIA seasons and does make for a fun/chaotic race but I'd also imagine a week of oval racing would get fairly dull fairly quickly.

Thanks for the information! I have to say that really is WAY too far back. Almost a year. A YEAR. And that wasn’t even with Gr.3 but N400... Long overdue. In the same timespan, imagine how many times Suzuka, Interlagos, Red Bull Ring and Autopolis have featured, just to give a few examples.

Bump draft is SR down, wall contact SR down, car contact SR down and the penalty system is just going to plain **** itself with people being cannoned off etc.

I used to enjoy the races but I think the last races on there averaged 30SR down per race.

Also can anyone explain the plate numbers? I'm plate 1 all the time but my qualifying usually puts me mid field. How? I believe finishing below your plate number means zero or negative DR?
 
And the madness of Spa-ta continues. Beat my Corvette time by a bit more with the Viper. Then in the usual cruelty that PD laughingly refers to as race matching, I'm staring P13/15 on a grid with 10 DR/Bs, a DR/A, a couple of Cs and two lonely DR/Ds.

Race starts and at least I'm not in mid chicane. I manage to navigate the chicane ok, peel off towards T1, but got a bit wide, get a tyre on the astroturf and loose the punch needed to climb the hill. I get passed by one guy behind me with better drive on the strait, navigate a few corners, then when I get to Rivage, the dingleberry behind me decides to pry his way up the inside, despite there being less than 1/2 a car width between me and the kerb, then proceeds to push me out of the way :banghead:. All I could do is try and catch up again. I manage to get back a couple of places with people going off.

I collected a track penalty after I was pushed off track at Eau Rouge . All in all I was less than happy with the race, but I was happy with the Viper. So much easier to handle than the Corvette. I finished P12.

SR white, so still too close to SR/A, which may be why matching was so 🤬. DR dropped about 500. I may have to do a Race C just to regain some SR for better matching. I'll be one of only a few DR/Ds in race C, so DR will take another hit. <sigh>....Another day above DR 1 :odd:.

I mean, I really, really don't understand.

In development, there is a "lead" game designer. He's like the coach of the design team. I would love to know how this dude accepts that you can get a 1 second penalty for BARELY getting all four tires off the track in places like RBR, but it's acceptable to go WAAAAY off course and achieve a hugely advantageous time.

Did they hire Bizzaro for this role? Penalties for non-issues and no penalties for chaos....fantastic strategy :p
 
How would I see an actual number linked to my SR? When I go to my drover menu I see the DR rating with the horizontal bar that moves and then my SR which just has the letter. Is there a way to actually see a metric of some sort?
 
The RCZ can definitely keep up. The Citroën lacks power, I mean serious power. It is at least 1 second a lap slower than the RCZ. It drives very nicely though. Eau Rouge is flat out in the rwd. With the RCZ I need a slight lift-off since otherwise your chances of a penalty seriously increases.
 
Looks like the update was a bug fix for some garage issue, and I guess barriers.
It stands out that there’s no mention of any bug related to abs, gotta say, I think that the more detailed driving is by design.
I liked it from the get go, so...
I saw a comment above about strict penalties, I hope they have tightened things up in the background of this update.
Adjusting a bit stricter would be great. Can’t wait to get some time to try things out!

Plate number should mean you have the highest DR in that lobby. If you finish in the top half of the grid, you increase your DR, lower half means decreasing your DR.

I, as another DR D, might venture into C too. My SR is at A and it sucks....
 
I did 2 Spa races this morning, and couldn't manage a blue rating in either one. First race was good and clean until the last lap, where someone bumped my rear bumper on the straight for no good reason, giving me an SR down. :indiff:

For the 2nd race, I crossed the Pacific to see if I could get a race with someone I know. Didn't see anybody. It was fun, though.
In this clip, I went side by side with a Taiwanese fellow through Eau Rouge, and it didn't turn out as bad as it should have. However, it slowed us down enough to give the Japanese guy in the Mercedes a good run on us. So we dueled in the next set of turns, and we both lost. :lol:

He wasn't mad, though. It was just racing. As long as I don't think there's malicious intent, I don't mind stuff like this. I may have been too aggressive with the inside move, but I never meant to make contact. Oh well. It's how I drive. 👍



*During the first turn, you can see the classic flashing lights people talk about, that gives me away as a left stick DS4 user. :lol:

I did one race C last night with @Winnie847 and we came across a real piece of work, by the time this clip starts he had already hit me a few times and put me off track once, that’s where his penalty came from. Somehow I didn’t get a penalty for this either, I guess revenge is allowed now? :lol:

Haha! We both took him out! I haven’t been that upset playing this game in quite a long time. I was in beast mode after getting pushed around the first two laps or so. I figured somebody pushed you into me...glad I got the right guy
 
The pen@lty has got to be in the worst state it has ever been in for the last couple weeks. Rewarding punters and divers all while literally penalizing the victims and harsher than ever. Sr drops at the highest level they've ever been and gains, the lowest. Which is PD's sad attempt to mitigate the highest surge of dirty drivers I've ever witnessed in this game. Alienating clean and well meaning players, while further emboldening and empowering predatory behavior.
It's literally inching towards unplayability. I wish PD would admit and address this key flaw to an otherwise beautiful game.

Me either, I went into seek and destroy mode. :lol: You definitely got the right guy, I’d never ever come barging up your the inside like that, I was struggling just trying to keep up with you. I did just get a little closer with a 27.8 though. :)

I mentioned before the update that my ABS light flickers. After the update it flickers more. When I follow my ghost, the brake lights flicker. Probably shouldn't be racing like that. :(

add- It's random. Doesn't happen with ABS off. Got worse after the update. I opened it, cleaned it, checked the USB on the G29 and there is no input at all only in the game.

I take it as a sign to stop. Between this, the cheaters and the penalties..... Why be paranoid all the time while trying to play a game? Unfortunately I don't trust other drivers, the penalty system and now the cars.
