The pen@lty has got to be in the worst state it has ever been in for the last couple weeks. Rewarding punters and divers all while literally penalizing the victims and harsher than ever. Sr drops at the highest level they've ever been and gains, the lowest. Which is PD's sad attempt to mitigate the highest surge of dirty drivers I've ever witnessed in this game. Alienating clean and well meaning players, while further emboldening and empowering predatory behavior.
It's literally inching towards unplayability. I wish PD would admit and address this key flaw to an otherwise beautiful game.
Couldn't agree more. I thought the racing would be cleaner when I got to the A ranks and was pretty disappointed. Mondays are also noticeably bad compared to the rest of the week.
Get an alt account and take the gloves off. 👍

This is pretty much where I'm at now, I have more to lose than to gain on my main account. But this is also the most I've been interested in the dailies since October.

Had a handfull of good races in the m3 5his morning. Went in to try and cut my qt after and managed to trim it slightly at least. @Pigems, tag your it lol

Then went to the spa. Tried the jag for 8-10 laps and got a 2.29.300 i can prabably cut that a bit but not sure i can break 28. Still learning the track.

Great Lap @Dairyworker !! I’m moving onto Race A now, we’ll see if I can catch you!

Just got my Race C time down to a 26.9, it took a little while, but I finally got it. :)

Edit: After spending the last 1 and a half hours driving the SF, the M3 feels like driving a Zamboni!

And here I was thinking I might catch you two this week. Oh well, you know what they say..."if at first you don't succeed, try, try again" and again, and again, take a hit, and again...then I miss my brake marker because of the ghost.:banghead:

Ya I did make an alt at one point, but have yet to really use it as it would take too much initial time to earn enough cars. I haven't much left to lose at this point. Got slapped in the face with a reset in only my first 2 races this week.
First one was as expected except it was the first 2 laps of pandemonium instead of just a couple corners.
Only lost a couple Sr there. But second one took the cake. Literally got punted hard core, went flying off track but was able to recover control in one of those huge runoffs at Catalina and rejoin the track, slapped with a 5 second penalty. Caught up to the aggressor quite quick who was door banging and pushing people off wherever hthey could. I eventually nudged them off track honestly by taking the inside and 'accidentally' not leaving them enough space. Another 4 seconds. Burned off the 9 seconds and still beat that sob but the incessant nudging and bumping from behind all race dropped me probably 40 Sr.
Back down to B and C...
Whatever

PD should delete alt accounts precisely because of this way of thinking, you will only make things worse with alt accounts and careless mindset!
Nah, I try to race just as hard and clean on my alt as on my main. Only difference between the two is I don’t care about my alt’s ratings so if someone is playing dirty I have no qualms with squaring up and throwing it right back at em. It also gives me more freedom to try out non-meta cars without worrying about tanking my DR.

Your point is partially valid though, but I would redirect it as saying that PD should offer non-ranked, casual races with matchmaking for players that are looking for less sweaty competition.

Just let me get mad enough, work on the alt account some more, & let's see what's shakin'.

As much as I agree with this logic, PD seems to be ass backwards on how to discourage this reckless behaviour from people on their main accounts. So, those who play fair get tired of the failed penalty system & choose some personal penalty distribution.

On our PS4 there are 4 GTS-accounts. All driven by different people. But they could have been alt accounts. How could they know?

Exactly, and WHY ARE PEOPLE CARING??

No, people do not drive like a "different mindset" on alt accounts. People drive the way they drive. They ONLY somewhat valid reason for an alt account is, if you happen to be good enough, an alt account can allow you to enjoy the game without messing up your rating for the FIA events.

This scenario applies to about 100 people in the world....maybe.

For the rest who cares if they have an alternate account? Man, the things people actually worry about. I have yet to ever hear of a valid reason why people should be dissuaded from alternate accounts. I hear moaning, but that's not a reason for other people to stick to a single account.

Yup. I agree with all of that. 👍
My alt account hasn't been below SR S for the last 34 days that I've used it (can't say the same about my main account).
And most of the races I do with it are non-qualified, so I'm driving through the crowd, making lots of passes..

*Here's the part that gonna blow the minds of alt account haters -->

Interestingly, I have found that I'm actually less likely to revenge punt the people who race me dirty, while using my alt account.
The reason being that I just don't give a damn about the DR I may be losing by getting knocked off the track and losing positions.

If the same thing happens on my main account, where I still have hopes of someday making it to 50k, I'll get pissed and smash the hell out of someone, because now somebody is taking something from me. The SR that I'll lose is not very difficult to gain back.

I used both accounts at the last Lemans race, and for each profile it played out exactly as I described above.
-3 races on my main, and in one of them, I ended up trying to destroy another car deliberately.
-20 races on my alt, 0 punt attempts. :odd:

Making an alt account could already be a reason u care about something hehe
People care.. just look at the penalty system thread alone, there plenty of threads u can tell ppl care in one or another way and we should care to make things better!
I couldn't care less about alt accounts, im just saying u making things worse if u making alt just to act like some of those clowns online lol

People care about alt accounts, or the penalty system? I don't really understand what you're saying.

Everyone so far has stated that they don't use their alt accounts to act like dirty drivers. Not sure where you got that idea from, or where that comes from in general.

At the end of the day, the easiest way to show that you don't care about something, is to not post about it? Do you have anything that you want to bring up that you do care about?

And who are we to tell other what to do whit their game lolll ?

Why use Hard on the rear? The mediums should be good enough no? Hards seem like a big disadvantage when you are heavy on fuel.

Hards are required, I can no stop this way.

That was a good race, but I hate when you cover the inside, only to have the person dive even more inside to try and make a pass. That really grinds my gears for some reason.

Yeah, at Spa, 1 SR down is equivalent to a neutral rating. All it will take is 2 draft bumps from behind to come out of a race in negative SR equity.

Another problem with shorter races, difficult to balance out SR or recover it. I'm already down to SR B so looks like a trip to Race C... That will probably be a clown show.

You have to run hards at some point in race or get a 20 sec penalty. Putting them just on back gets over that rule. And straight mediums gets sketchy on lap 12 if you have any incidents at all (highly likely in this race)

It works in FIA too. :)

Gonna try a one stop on the next one so I can push harder. We’ll see if it works. :)

Stopping didn't seem that bad, the leader only lost like 5 seconds when he did it in your stream. IRL that's a 25 second pit stop in F1. But since you are forced to use hards that changes things.

Well maybe if u watched some of the other threads you''ll see all the whining about the whole penalty system and other stuff, this is a reason some ppl using alt accounts and will react different when they get punted in a race your naive if u dont believe that.. but whateva man.
I care about the game and the people who care in general!
One day you'll understand it 💡
