Ok maybe it's just my internet bogged down. It's not the best here at the beach, too many tourists here for the holidays. Once they all leave the speed doubles it's wild.

You don't happen to have a crazy man with a boat named Quint, a sheriff who goes by the name Brody and a mayor who doesn't listen when people start disappearing off the beach by any chance?

Oh there is more than just a few crazy people down here. Haven't spotted any sharks in a while tho. Come spring they will be back in knee deep water.

I'm doing the late slot FIA as well. Really not the best at spa but I'll give it my best shot. At least it should be cleaner than the daily races.

Ok, finally decided to run some laps, qualify, and race at the mountain . I was avoiding it because of my bump to DR-A, and because I suck there. I started to get a bit of rhythm running from the back in the Aston, so I entered and spent 15 minutes trying to set a lap. Couldn't seem to get out of the 15's, then, on the last chance for a full lap, I did a 14.6. I was thrilled, and hoping to get a mid pack start or better. This is what I got.

Last qualifier in a room 2-3 seconds faster...and mostly Meganes. It's no secret that I'm not a fan of FWD. And these are so fast on the straight, and so forgiving of bad driving, that they can ruin the race for people that want to race real cars. It seems most that drive them regularly, think that just becase they can shove a nose in and not get a penalty as you're pushed wide into the wall, that it's okay.
I figured it would be interesting. I actually drove a good race, and was up to 8th on the last lap when, (you guessed it!) A megane got inside me just before my brake marker for the chase. He had, maybe 1/4 car overlap, and he moved right (think pit manuver) just as I hit my brakes. I got sideways, past the apex, but kept 2 tires on the pavement and managed to recover after loosing all my speed. Finished with a blue S in 14th.
Next race was better with a P4 start and a P3 finish. Three clean laps with last lap pressure from the Audi that started P3 and went wide at the cutting, letting me by. I'm learning to like this track, but I don't know about doing 11's or12's:idea:

I can’t disagree with that, I can’t wait to switch!
Same!
Just been having far too many problems with both cars.
Gr. 4 - accelerates as fast as a snail, doesn't know how to turn, tire wear is atrocious

Gr. 3 - loves spinning out of low speed turns, doesn't know how to turn. Rear tire wear makes it sketchier than an artist making a sketch of a sketchy person.

To obtain GR SUPRA (Nürburgring '19 Livery) car thur dealership or random?
It was a prize for participating in the the GR Supra GT Cup then completing the customer survey in October / November. Chance is passed. There is a slim possibility it may later be offered in Mileage Exchange, but I doubt it.

I am amazed. Before last week I was a DR B with a driver score of 700 after playing the game for a year.
Last week's race B was so good to me that I became DR C with 11k in driver score, so I fully expected it to drop now.
After two days at LS I am now for the first time ever DR B.
I have to pinch my arm.

Qualifying for the manufacturer race was awful. My SR tanked due to dirty drivers and bs penalties so now I'm driving with the misfit toys who have no idea how to drive. Couldn't put down a qualifying lap so I start 19th. 🤬

That ship has sailed my friend, however I think you will find that a Gr4 Supra will show up at the dealership in a later update, but not with the Nurburgring '19 livery.

Umm... yeh. Will get you close to pole .....on a DR/D grid :p.

The matchmaking is killing me right now. Starting near the back almost every race. A and A+ lobbies, no lobby with more than 3 B drivers including me. Ugh. So hard to keep up.

EDIT: and yeah, arrogance is rearing its head here too. I am not driving amazing, but trying to pick my spots to pass and not just shoving my nose in anywhere. Not good enough for those who are crashing then finishing the race with me in the back. Put the nose in anywhere, drift off, give me a penalty or just push me wide. FFS the penalty system changes are making these:censored::censored:s bolder about absolutely stupid moves. I have blown my braking points or been caught out by a bad spot of unghosting, but trying to avoid contact. Now people are using the new system to initiate it and force a pass through pushing off or penalty. With the new
Dirty tire model they can easily clear the gap so you don't catch back up even with the penalty.
2 ok races followed by one spending 9 laps with a 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 just driving me mental. Know I should have blasted them but trying to do it right.:banghead::banghead:

Merry Chrimbo GTPers! I hope you've all had a good one!

Living room to myself this morning....time to get the wheel out! :)

I'm going to focus on race C this week as its a new track, but I've put down some times for the other tracks.

Race A - took me a few laps to get the hang of it - gotta be smooth! Watched both @Pigems and @Mistah_MCA laps for guides. Got my time down to 2:42.947. I agree with Pigems and the Golf is good fun to drive.
Race B - In the Megane as usual at the Mount.... 2:13.889. Opt is 2:13.4xx.

I'm off to California now for some Group 3 action. Haven't decided on a car yet.
