I know this should be in another thread, but allow me a quick rant.
BMB is ruined with the penalty system.
I was the meat in someones sandwich at T1 lap 5, no probs, we all came out alive...... but I get a 4 sec penalty, and many other examples.
I am now SR A, in the past I would switch to a safe strategy to get back to S as quick as possible. DR is reasonably high for me.
Going to throw SR to the wind and see what happens.

Thanks! Yes have a capture card now but unfortunately most races featuring rammers/penalties for getting rammed...

That's the problem with being mid pack to back the way. I'd recommend racing in DR B split for a different experience. B isn't perfect, but A or A+ at the back will never be clean with this system right now.

Very true. But sometimes you get 'lucky'. I got 3 BS penalties in one race, enough to drop to SR.A. There it's total chaos lap 1 but it quickly clears up. I took the lead in lap 5 and ended up winning over 20 sec ahead (started 18th) with FL and CRB. Now back to SR.S already where it's dirty nonsense all race and a struggle to reach top 10 from the back. The car and track are too much fun to leave it though. Next week looks boring in comparison. Back to Spa!
 
So BMB hasn't been as successful as I anticipated. I must've done at least a coupe dozen races, and only gotten 4 wins. All of my wins have been in the Corvette, but I've used the Evo a few times as well. I did probably lose a couple wins from stupid penalties though.

Sometimes lady luck is awaiting for sure! I know right? I'm really getting into Dailies just now. Until I saw next weeks that is. All 3 combinations are total crap. Race C will be the MX5 Race Mod at N200 spec at Autopolis. Slow driving on constant radius, off camber corners. What a snoozefest :lol: I'll do my last Spa runs tomorrow. Next weeks racing? I've no idea if i'll try them.
 
I gave the DBR9 a go on Blue Moon yesterday to see what results I'd get. I didn't want to go with the crowd who were all driving Lancers, and I knew that if things went my way, I'd be on for a decent finish. First qualifying time wasn't great and I started 13th. Nothing much happened for the first few laps but then it all kicked off. Penalties, collisions and crashes were everywhere and I somehow avoided it all. I was in second place on the final lap, and challenging for the lead! However in my attempt to get by, I dropped down to third. Still, not bad for my first race in the DBR9. I was thinking that maybe there was a chance for me to win, but no. The next few races yielded some pathetic results, and I failed to see the podium again. So I had another crack after dinner and eventually managed to snag second place. The car you choose doesn't really matter, as long as you're in the right place at the right time. Everyone uses the Lancer but it doesn't mean that you should.
 
Had a cheeky, "prime time" race C......Started 2nd, jumped the pole sitter out of La Source, and held them off over the 10 laps with overtake down Kemmel Straight.....Satisfying win!

Despite the odd moment (or moments? :dopey: :lol: ) of madness, I've really enjoyed Race C this week.......Looking forward to the final day, and a decent result to end tomorrow!

Also, DR now on 42221, that'll do nicely! ;)

Anyone got any guesses on what the car for Race A will be next week? I can't think of any Gr. X cars that would be that slow. I'm assuming Race C is the Toyobarus or MX-5 Touring Car...

Another really disappointing week for me next week. Yet another One Make Race C, and this time its going to be a boring road car. Plus Autopolis is so overused that I want to never see it again.

Have PD forgotten that Gr4 exists? Other than Nurburgring a few weeks ago, when was the last time we had a Gr4 race C? September?

Yeah, it's been a while. Was it LAguna Seca before that?
 
For once I am fuming. The daily races are full of kids in Corona quarantine, no one races for real, if you can't pass clean you aim for the player ahead in the brake zone or go up the inside where there are no space. Every time I got a penalty and every time I fall back, fight up and it happens again. There is no way to drive defensive when no one cares about the rules.
I am going to stay out of the races, daily and FIA until the quarantine is over or the player base has died off.

What is the best moment to use your overtake when driving on your own. Accelerating out of the corner or when near topspeed? Currently been doing the first, but no idea if that is the best way.

I like to use it in 4th gear, sometimes 3rd as well if it’s easy to do it without wheel spin. You hit the high speeds a little sooner without using too much of the available power this way. I do it when coming out of La Source and Stavelot. I don’t use it anywhere else unless I’m racing someone.

I've used my magic button through eau rouge. :D

The BMBump on the last two turns of the last lap, is getting annoying. Everyone are pretty decent for the middle of the race. Once it gets to the final two laps, NASCAR spinning tactics ensue.

The usual moments of bad driving from some, but overall a great boost to my DR!

A couple more races to do, and that'll be me done for the week, I don't want to push my luck!
 
I'm a little bummed at next week's race C as I am on Governor-mandated three week Spring Break starting now. At least race B will be fun....

2 disconnects this week has really killed my DR. I was hoping to get to ~20k with BMB but now I'm back in C and almost back to B. It's all good, I just want to see how high I can get. I guess that's true of all of us! :gtpflag::cheers:

I just switched back to my 'Vette that I have 5 wins with after the guy that was always winning the races I was in (also in an Evo) wasn't in the last race. We'll see if I need to switch back to the Meta.
