I just switched back to my 'Vette that I have 5 wins with after the guy that was always winning the races I was in (also in an Evo) wasn't in the last race. We'll see if I need to switch back to the Meta.
You've inspired me. I go with the Vette for the next race. I better get some warm-up laps in. 👍

This weeks races look interesting, not sure if it’s all good though.

Race A - grX?......but it’s a grid start, bah!!

Race B - Gr3......I can dig this.

Race C - N200 at autopolis. I wish PD sorted out the N class Bops, cause this is another one make SF R race which no one wants.

I really need a good race to farm DR at the moment. Last couple of weeks saw me lose way too much simply due to the types of races offered up.

Last 4 Race Cs of the week, and more decent results!

DR increase over the week of 14000+.......So close to A+ now on 48407. A super happy Hamster! :D

@Sven Jurgens

Man that was fun! I’d still be in there but my brain needs a rest.
Got a headache.
Overdid it today, but last day of Spa gotta do it!
You were in a zone on the starts. I’m like ok let’s thread the needle here turn 1 wait no room...WTF was that Sven 2 cars ahead lmao.
All those last few were a good time racing around other cars, not spread out and hotlapping...

Adios to Spa. Gave it 2 more goes before work today. Both got punted wide at start and had to play the climb from the back game. Went terrible in race 1 as a serial blocker pushed me wide both times I got past to get penalties that put me behind again. Started p3, finish p5 still behind swerving mervin.

Second race dumped down to p9 of 10 at la source. Ran into an infamous poster here who couldn't even keep a straight line down Kemmel. Fought back to p3, but on the way p4 got dropped to the sand with what looked like a lag punt. He had served to block me several times so I didn't get too upset about it. Odd though as I still had at least a car length when he just got launched in front of me.

Going to be a shame as despite the ugly bits I have really enjoyed racing here mostly. Even if you have to get the elbows out a bit at times.

My DR is at a level I only achieve around the Nurburgring or Bathurst.
I seemed to have clicked with NASCAR type racing. SR not so good, but **** it.
Just had a couple of beers with mates, day off tomorrow, gonna hit the offshape oval :gtpflag:

BMB has been great to my DR as well. TOO great. I was less than 1000 from DR A+ which put me with a bunch of fast people in tonight's FIA race, and I finished 17th after qualifying 19th. Af for race C, even though I do like both the Super Formula and Spa, I just haven't found as much pace around here as I'd expect. I haven't set a qualifying time all week, but on the runs I've been on that I stopped before the line, I was on track for a 1:57-something. Based on my usual gap to the top times, I should have a 1:56-something instead. Well at least this should be good for dropping some DR before the next FIA race.

I just tried 2 races at BMB with the SLS. It's really nice to be able to get back to the throttle sooner than everybody else. I made a lot of passes that way. 👍
I think I'm gonna stick with this car for a while.

I really like this car, but just can't get it to match the Subie EDIT: Damn, meant to say Lancer. The buzz boxes all look the same to me.

Had to sit out nations and manufacturers or I would have been danger/embarrassment with current DR

I'm the "joker/clown" that "blocked" you last night. Which led to you punting me off track on the final turn for your win.

Last night was the first on-line race I'd done in GT in over two years. Unfortunately, not much has changed... The race you took from me was my third of the night. Admittedly, I was SLOPPY on the final lap. But, I didn't get a Sportsmanship Rating of S by being an intentionally bad driver. I've been playing since the original GT came out, I've been on many tracks IRL (including the 'Ring) and done a lot of track days. Dirty driving makes me mad, IRL and on-line.

I'm trying to give you some background, I'm not a kid. I've done this a long time and I've done it virtually and on actual tracks... Am I the best driver in the world? No. Am I a dirty driver? A joker? A clown? No. No. No. My last lap was not pretty. But, from my perspective, I did my best to stay on the racing line, your job is to figure out how to get past me. I never made more than one move on a straight and it was always to get back on the racing line. I understand that this week's Race A has a brutally slow and underperforming car. But, it is what it is. If you can't pass me cleanly, you have to wait for the next opportunity. On the final lap, you were able to close the gap when I screwed up on a few corners. But, I always maintained a lead thru the corner you caught me on and had pulled ahead by more than a car length before the next turn.

You literally just ran into the back of me and punted me off track on the final turn. C'mon, you behaved exactly like the people you are complaining about in many of your posts here.

Here's the final two laps of the race from your perspective. Again, I know I was sloppy. I can do better. But, the way I see it, I only ever moved back on the racing line if I veered off it. You couldn't get it done in a legit manner so you took the easy way out. I'm a big boy. Have a look, point out where I was in the wrong. If it's there, I'll admit it, accept it and improve on it. BUT, I'd ask you to do the same.

Just saying, maybe you braked a TOUCH early? Maybe. It looked a possibility from my viewing. If that were the case, not your fault, certainly, but a contributing factor.

The other driver has to accept some responsibility if that were the case. Early braking is a possibility (especially if the car in front is nervous about being overtaken, looking in his mirrors, and not paying enough attention to braking markers), but he must be aware of the possibility.

If so, then I'd mark it down to a racing incident. Not good, but it happens. I don't like people who abuse others online (after-race lobby or social media) without properly ascertaining story from other driver. I copped fearful abuse from one guy a day ago who was unceremoniously punted. Confused my car with the actual rammer. Could have watched the replay, but no, straight in.

FWIW, I think you ARE a fair driver. Don't stress too much.

It was crazy today. One race I went from last to 3rd in 40 seconds. In another I went from 20th to 5th by lap 3, got rammed off spun around back to 18th and finished 5th with CRB. I passed 28 cars in that one  Last couple of my races had bad starts, cars bowling into my path, impossible to avoid. Doesn't matter, lap 1 is nothing but a lottery. Plenty action, no watching gaps grow for sure.

I overdid it as well at Spa, by the time I logged off for dinner (8 pm) the daily workout counter had crept over 1,000 km  Normally that's only N24 type addiction. I'll miss Spa, next week looks pretty boring. Hopefully the GR.X car is something fun but race A is short and only grids of 12 :/ The kids are home anyway, not much time to race. I just heard that the schools in Alberta are now closed until September  It wouldn't surprise me if that happens here as well.

Vive la Spa!

BMB to increase your DR is like visiting a bath house or a nude beach ... could be very good or VERY, VERY BAD.

So far, I've been lucky I suppose. 47 races | 19 poles | 20 top5s | 5 wins.
DR went from 6k to nearly 18k (close to same level before last weekend's masochistic FIA beatdown).

Nice thing about Race B this week is finding some solid drivers (pretty easy since people are either smooth or running around the track blindfolded) and getting a good rivalry going on.
Believe it or not, your comment about driving blindfolded may not be all that far off the mark.

I think I have a glitch in the way my GT Sport plays. In the warmup, my car sometimes (well, 50% of the time) comes out of pits on its own, all other cars stay in pits.

Then, on grid, when you would expect cars to start rolling, mine nudges forward a couple of feet, then stops, and all other cars are stationary.

Countdown. My car is still stationary, and all other are, too. If I do not have traction control on full, I just spin out if I plant it.I'm starting from a standstill, and then the race progresses with me doing a blind time-trial with all other cars remaining on the grid, ghosted.

As I race, I CAN see penalties being given out, and even fastest lap times. That is all. It is only at the end that I get my 'result'. Yeah, I avoid the mayhem, but I lose out because I cannot draft, and lose (on average, because I've checked the lap times for first lap in race results) about 7 seconds at the start.

It's cost me a few wins, especially if I have started top 3. WTF? Can anyone help?

Damn that sucks.

Maybe do no warm-up.

For once I am fuming. The daily races are full of kids in Corona quarantine, no one races for real, if you can't pass clean you aim for the player ahead in the brake zone or go up the inside where there are no space. Every time I got a penalty and every time I fall back, fight up and it happens again. There is no way to drive defensive when no one cares about the rules.
I am going to stay out of the races, daily and FIA until the quarantine is over or the player base has died off.

I get an itch to do the dailies, but as you mentioned, it's not worth my while as many players truly are there to disrupt, not just young players, but malicious players as well.

Those last couple of laps are the killer. Had a nice breakaway with the top 5. Bumpdrafting to perfection,Then building a gap. Then, a GT-R catches up and throws us out of wack.

As you all know, this means everyone behind gets the slipstream fever and we're all back to "kill the man ahead of you".

Lost me four spots in one go, because of the side bump, hit wall, bounce back into trajectory of cars behind, car behind bumps me forward into car ahead, ricochet to side, bounce off car wherever, car behind forward bump. Bedlam for the last lap.

My usual top 10 goal, doesn't count for much, when a top 5 or better gets snuffed out.

Race B is actually good in the Atenza. Last to sixth. Time to qualify and roll the die(not dice).
IMG_20200316_182501.jpg

Edit: Qualified with a 1:58.955. How close for that FL?

Edit2: yep, dumb penalty for the outside car is still in effect. Got 2 seconds because an RSR goes up the inside at the bowl hairpin. Caught back up to it on the last lap and it gives the spot back before the finish.

Started 5th finished 5th.
