So far it's always been that a car coming from outside the track has the right of way, no matter what you do. So yep, you fully deserved a hefty penalty for being near a car re-entering the road. You should have put your blinkers on, slowed down traffic behind you and waited for him to get back on the track. Such poor sportmanship on your part.

Oh the N800 race on Monza was the best SR killer ever, that record still needs to be broken!

FFS, another week I can't be bothered to race. Maybe Tsukaba is karts? That might be fun.

Thanks Sven, always objective and to the point without being judgemental..

The thing is, going into the first corner I brake so early to make sure i don't touch him, and when he enters the track again and wants the racing line i am keeping the lift so that there could be enough space..

I will put on my emergency lights and quit the game the next time

Wow. SR is very hard to come by.

This is going to annoying the DR D drivers as DR As are dropped into their races and take half a dozen to get back out again.
Nah. Laughing my whasits off - as low-ranked D drivers do - at the angst THEY are feeling. They bring that angst, and arrogance to the races. I just chuckle as I see these heroes push each off the track whilst themselves patronizing the newbies.

Suffer in yer jocks, I say.

Has the game been renamed, it seems like its now the "real DR reset simulator", well done PD great work you should all be proud with the penalty system.
Strangely the driving is better in SR E, as soon as I got back to SR B, the bumping and pushing started again....

I had quite a bit of fun on Race C this week. Qualified with a 1:39.295 in the WRX, good enough for a Top 5 grid position in the Asian region. Spent yesterday in the WRX, but the tyres just fall off 2/3rds in. Traction and turn in is crazy, you can just mash it on corner exit. But it loses under braking to 4Cs and Meganes.

Gave the Megane a go today, and loved the smoothness and overall handling balance. For an MR, it's surprisingly well-behaved under throttle on corner exit. I did experience tyre wear though. Not as bad as the WRX, but enough to have to be slightly cautious on braking points in the last 2-3 laps. I feel the Megane's biggest strength is it's fantastic braking. You can go really really deep, especially on T1, as long as you trail brake to get some steering grip back. Managed a thrilling podium finish, taking advantage of the braking to pass a McLaren and a Cayman which I tussled with for the second half of the race. Man, that felt good!! When this game gets it right, there's nothing else like it!

So dive bombing and using others as a brake has become the new norm I see...

Not always.
Had a very interesting race, met the guy in the above post (https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/threads/daily-race-discussion.373268/page-18#post-13052528) told him it was nice to meet him again. I think he forgot me, was so friendly towards me..

Then proceeded to have a great race, with clean drivers and lots of respect.. this game is weird but races like this, makes it worth it.

I got this strange feeling the new penalty system hates me even more, than the one we had a couple of weeks ago. :banghead:
After getting 18 seconds in the first corner on Spa with the Super Formula, I lost 25.000 DR and 40 SR points within one race.
I didn´t had huge crashes with big penaltys, only a handful joke penalties with almost no contact and only small touches.

What´s your opinion on this?

You can jump to the penalties at 4:50, 10:35, 16:15 and 19:10 in the video.

Man, finally back on track from the back at C. May have to qual...People at the back generally say 12-15 were battling hard...Not rough really, but just clogging the track some.
7-8 positions up a race what with getting ahead and then hit, causing minor slides and too much tire wear in the Mustang so far. Aaaand I get to play...server crash.

I watched that earlier. That video sums up why I haven't been racing at Interlagos. If you get penalties for a tap in the back then tracks like that are impossible. The side to sides are so inconsistent that it's a big risk and the random divebomb pens are the icing on the cake. Not worth it.

You know what’s funny is I’ve gotten tapped a fair amount in my three races at Interlagos by overzealous evo and Alfa and Megane drivers and I haven’t taken a pen except for a track limit at decide de Lago after an evo went for the inside quarter panel...
At one point I passed 2 Alfa’s and a Megane approaching turn one had about a car length , entered a bit tight got sandwiched and a trailing Huracan hit the Megane into me which bonked me into the front of the Alfa cuz no one can EVER manage to lift slightly but no pens we all made it through ok.
Evo drivers have the worst manners overall from what Ive seen.
Before disconnect I was 99 after 3 from the back, just wish people would accept it when I have track position, maybe my liveries draw aggression I dunno.
I think more outta control folks are taking more sr down and the system seems to fixate on those with many contacts...Do you think this draws aggression?

Yeah, the EVO is the new Huracan. I think that's where "they" have switched to.

People are racing well at 99 last race didn’t have so many a plus managed 6th and crb...fun stuff
For the way I race I enjoy the Mustang at Interlagos. Smooth drive, nice growl, drives around the no power handling cars on the straight...People don’t tend to bully it...When you run a normal livery...
I may try a Megane and switch back to an 86 too for a change up, Fun to just enjoy racing at your own pace doing your best not to touch.

Got a half decent replay uploaded, drove a little too aggressive for my liking but I was fuming after the crash at Lap 1. Ended up in 18th *last* after a second crash. Managed to claw my way back up into 6th... reckon I could've got a podium had it not been for the second crash at Lap 2 with the Mustang (I think that was my fault on it)
What's your opinion(s)?

I guess I tried to early in the day.
Had some Meganes in the back this morning trying to push me around. Taught them real quick how hard a Pony kicks.

Shared my last replay In game public lol never done that before; it was a smooth run in the Pony car. Nothing touches it power wise and it’s decent on tires and super planted, just gotta brake smoothly in it. I started braking early and easy on that last uphill in third, so funny you can drive by cars on the straight! It’s Fantastic at Interlagos. Last 2 23 positions gained 2 crb in a row...:). Best lap only 39.9 tho.
Seven cups of coffee deep...TCS 3 BB0

I haven’t had much luck with the 86 so far this week. Might give the NSX a try, that thing is also good on it’s tires iirc?

Didn't try it, but the 4C feels really at home there. Just need to move your brake balance forwards as the race goes on or you'll struggle with oversteer when coming off the brakes. (I start at +2 and end at -2, works pretty well)

All I can really say is that I have been seeing plenty of this with the more A and above ranked drivers in lobbies. In the lower lobbies there is less side by side stuff, but also less penalties handed out for contact. Once I am in a higher lobby more of this side tap penalty stuff appears. It is almost like tougher rules for higher rated drivers again. It is also easy to lose that much SR with those penalties. -10 for every contact penalty, plus SR down instead of up and it just keeps adding. 2 contact penalties wipe out a whole clean race.

Still fairly BS penalties, but that is why I have moved to wipeout and grinding for my oval trophy to finish out the week
