Haven't played Sport mode for months... and just had one of my best races !

Do you people seriously find it fun never being able to get those trophies for wins/poles? That you keep losing and coming in places that aren’t first, unless you exploit the system? I sometimes don’t get why people play competitive videogames at all, where there’s any sort of ranked matchmaking system or whatever. Life is competitive and stressful as it is, (with or without the impact of Covid-19) I don’t know if I need that cut-throat attitude invading my hobbies, too. Sometimes it makes me snap and I just wannt start breaking things, even if I never actually follow-through.

I barely win any races, I'm still 60 or so from the trophy after two years. Simply being able to race in the 1st or 2nd split lobbies is rewarding in itself since the racing is so intense, it takes a lot of time and effort from myself to even get to that level. The way I see it my only options are to git gud or play something else.

Race C is more savage than a WWF wrestler named Randy....

Just watched a reply of some Norwegian dude have an absolute meltdown in my last race, they started on pole with top SR of 99 reduced down to 37 after just one race...

Proper job 👍 💡 👍
Oh my OUCH. Its like the e-motorsport equivilant to the market being wrecked by Corohno-19.

Last 2 attempts at race C today and hoo boy were they good races. Deliberately didn't set a qualifying time because I was just curious to where I'd finish. First race started 17th out of 19th after staying out of trouble the first couple of laps was in 6th at the end of lap 2. From there I gradually made it to 2nd by lap 7 where I'd pit from hard to medium tyres and remain in 2nd as 1st had managed to build up a sizable lead.

Second race I started in 19th and didn't quite make as much progress the first couple of laps but kept putting in fast consistent laps and was about 8 seconds of 1st with the mediums still to go. One small mistake at the last corner however cost me about a second going into the pits. Managed to get fastest lap on first flying lap on mediums but a small error cost me a one second penalty. Still tried to catch first with the faster tyres. Finished the race 2 seconds behind which was really annoying as I knew without those 2 small errors I'd have probably got 1st right at the end of the race. Still can't complain with those results.

Done a few laps and managed to get a 55.69 in the kart. ABS off, BB +3, TC 2. Accelerate early from the corner to rotate the kart and exit quickly.

Good fun but the slipstream is way too strong. Kart behind will gain 7 10ths on the long corner/straight into turn 1.

Also finding it damn tough to get it under control when in a pack - apologies for any accidental punts I give to any of you .

I'm using this as an excuse to repost the below video. It's from ages ago but was one of the best races I've had in GTSport and was ultimately a battle for 10th place.

Winning is great but the fact its so hard to come by makes it all that more rewarding when it does. But even in not winning there's a huge amount of fun to be had. So to answer your question, yes absolutely. And if you don't find enjoyment in it, don't do it :)

Nowhere near as good a driving but still, principle applies!

I only did 3 races there yesterday. I like the combo.
For me, Gr.4 seems like just the right kind of car for that track.
The segmented turn is tricky as ever. It always seems like you should be able to take it faster than you actually can. :boggled:
The VW Scorocco is hands down by go to gr4. Idk but if I am to pull off any feat of amazing, its with that car. Which I guess it mak

Schrodenger could possibly validate it.

Been having a blast with race A & race C this week.

Does anyone have a good strategy recommendation for race C?

My best result was achieved starting on mediums and finishing on hards. Usually running 1:32s on med then pitting on lap 5-7 (depending on traffic & tire deg) then running to the end on hards (approx 1:34s). I also ran an inverted strategy (pitting later & finishing on mediums) but the tires really fell off towards the end.

I think we raced this morning when I was on my other account, I was running 2x 5 on mediums and 1x3 on hards. 1 stop is quicker but only if you're good with managing the tyres, on a controller 2 feels better for me.

I did a Daily C earlier. One could say that the lack of overtakes might be boring, but for me what makes it fun is when someone trys to undercut me and I come back infront of them after my stop. Also with that race I reached my 60th win.

Well done!

I’d been wondering who LET QUEBEC IN was as well. :)

I’ve been racing so bad over the last 3 weeks and wondered whether I should quit for a while.

I’ve been working towards using TCS 0 and just assumed I was 🤬 at it. Luckily this week Fuji in Gr2 is one of my better tracks and I noticed I was still way slow, even at TCS 2. And then I saw the accelerator wasn’t always sticking. Cleaned out the pedals this afternoon - sprayed some WD40 and, hey got a PB quality time and came 2nd and 1st.

I don’t worry about the trophies or wins or pole positions - I could get them if I tanked DR but I’d much rather race a level above me and battle out to get in the top half to try and improve. Only chasing wins will make you miserable if you don’t get them and not appreciate the mini victories of a great pass, an immense battle for 8th or that time you didn’t bottle it when on the last lap with worn tires in the top 5.

To be fair, if he's in bumper cam it's quite likely he never saw you in the first incident.
