Mid DR B group is death or glory, apparently. Also seems to have turned into a one make race. TS050's everywhere. Starting to make the Seaside look like a safe place to be
Tried the Toyota again and got it to within 0.05 of my personal best in the Peugeot
Having a beer then heading back into battle, sorry meant race

Had a cracking 4 way race, clean, respectful and fast. Next one, I turned into a mobile hazard, braked too late twice and pushed off two cars, demoted myself to last place and made sure I stayed there :banghead:

The problems you run into on c are due to ‘meta mentality’
People using ts050 think they can outbrake corner accelerate every car.
It’s not what happens in races from what I’ve seen if you can quietly brake in a c car.
Abs default is fine, but ease into the pedal and back off if you hear squeal. They brake best under 100 percent input.
Ts050 is better, but most use 100 percent input which negates some advantage, plus in a c car you can pull gap into braking zone...
They think other cars don’t have a chance.
Maybe driven flawlessly in alien hands ts050 will be a lower time, but in racing you have to take into account the human factor.
The c car pulling gap on a person in this mindset causes different things to happen.
It’s a question of pressure. It’s a race not a 5 lap time trial.
I thought hybrid would be safer but it’s not. It’s too easy to get stuck in a pack and most players are not in control of ts050.
The c cars can escape and gap, or...
They can catch and be used as instruments of the devil...
Flatout!
Agree completely I came of pits in 962 start of lap 4 this morning 3 seconds behind A TS50 kept it quiet like you said drew up to within a second at the end of 4. TS50 driver started to over drive and accumulate 2.5 seconds worth of penalty between start finish and 1st bus stop, blew past by the 2nd bus stop race was over. kept the 962 quiet clean and smooth.......for the win

YEEESSSSS SIR!!!!
When I first got that car @sturk0167 gave...It was a bit much when he took me for a ride...

but you get used to it...
Cheers!

Finally on attempt #223 I managed to get the win on Race B.

As an added bonus, with my consistent garnering of 500-1000 DR points per race, this victory has taken me into A Rating

I have a need for a few more drivers. If you're a fan of flat out sprint races, that last more than 5/6 laps, this might be your kind of thing.

Bridgestone Tour

With 4 rounds left, you won't be fighting for the championship with @GOTMAXPOWER and @Mistah_MCA. But, the racing is clean, fair, and there's definitely someone of a similar speed to you.

The racing is close, too. If you're up the sharp end, you'll have competition. If you're at the back, you'll have completion. Mid pack? Yep. More competition.

The battle for 2nd has looked really competitive this season :p. Highly recommend people sign up to this.

What was cool about those races I was in, the LMPs would move out the way. After I pit, they'd be dead in the water, as I'd catch up and pass on the last lap. Got far enough ahead that, by the final chicane, they'd be too far back to get me at the line. It was close, but nope.

Just did quali in the 962, and I'm not sure if it's the car or that I'm underdriving the Toyota massively, but I shaved off .7 seconds on my second lap, now down to 23.7. Optimum was 23.1... really hoping this is the car that finally pushes me up into DR A

Had a goal of improving my qt and doing enough laps with the 962 in manual to be completely used to it for races. Did way more laps than i meant to because the combo is just great to run laps in. Defiantly got the shifts down for muscle memory but also got my time down to 3.22.3xx i can put it into 21s i think

Any chance you saved/uploaded your best lap? Curious to see.

I highly recommend these races to anyone looking for some clean fun outside of sport mode. 👍

Improved my race C Q time to 3:18.516 :D There's still time in it, I made a hash of the first Mulsanne chicane and my hybrid ran out earlier than desired after Arnage (again). The first part of the lap (S1 and Tertre Rouge) was beautiful, and so were Arnage and the Ford chicanes. Optimal is now in the 3:17s :scared: :O

even if you get one on lap one you get a red SR at the end!

Yep, Le Mans is worth 11 SR points for a clean race without hitting a single track penalty. 1 SR down will hurt.

It's a shame grids became one-makes the moment I hit SR A, my last lobby had 17 TS050s. While races before at SR B were more diverse with very little Hybrids. I enjoyed those lobbies a lot more.

I would have to imagine that tomorrow nights grids will not be full of hybrids. :)

I was thinking of lining up for some friday fun lobbies in A and C since there will be lots of chaotic off track and wall excursions in the opening lap.
Last night in the race that kicked me over I finished 5th in a race that had me as the only non ts050 in the top 10. Should have had p4 but got a track limit penalty leaving room for the guy in p3 cutting through at corvette. We had a clean race all race so wasn't too annoyed.

Sarthe dropped me to SR.E today thanks to the crash kiddies, then the races finally got clean in SR.C. There I had a couple awesome close contact free battles with Argentina and Brazil. No TS050s down here, plenty GR.C cars and TS030s for whatever reason. I ended with a second place finish with clean race bonus after drafting and swapping places with a 787B for the first 3 laps, still starting from the back. Half the field quits down here though....

So still possible to find good races, but it takes a lot of tries to finally get matched with the right people. Meanwhile my DR was reset to 7K when my SR was all the way down to 6 from BS penalties getting rammed off. Now back to 9.5K and 51 SR, back in SR.B where there were zero clean racers before. So good time to start on dinner while downloading Uncharted 4.

Over 31K DR down, but I did finally find two clean races in a row!

In the Daily Race B, what track limits are acceptable (during the race) ?
From what I've watched, the guys running in the 1:37's take advantage of the high speed right hander early on, then, the last chicane.
Is it okay to cut the grass on the first one, then barrel over the berms on the last chicane ?
Just asking. I'm new to the game.
edit: don't want to lose my S rating

Try it in the testing section and you’ll see quick enough. You will get penalised if you cut too much in the first part of the chicane.

You need to be aggressive in the fast right hander before the hairpin.
