Ended the night with a good battle with a guy that still managed to be quick even while being all over the place. He ran wide coming onto the Dottinger Hohe and I was able to sneak past easily. Thankfully was able to keep him behind to the finish with a couple mistakes in the last couple corners.

Wow, what a race! I rarely have the will to watch someone else's race from start to finish, but this one kept me on my toes for the whole of those 8 minutes :)

Car sounded fast and was okay. Felt good on both compounds.
Only other thing I have to say is, if your tyres are worn and you're trying to defend by escorting me to the wall, you're gonna get yourself side punted the other way...

Maybe this post is a duplicate, but there are to many posts to read them all. I'm sorry in advance! :D

Why does some guys get penalty's and others not? My race I had 0 warnings. But still get a 20 seconds penalty at the finish. I tried several things, Hards and no pistops. A clean race. But everytime I get the 20 seconds. The posts I read (those with also a pic of the result), said that everyone gets a penalty, but you can see 3 players didn't get it. An other post said not every player reads the race details, but I can't see anything that explains my penalties.

Please help, otherwise GT Sport will be in mine trash very soon! 🤬

First race C of the week. Starts p8 with door number 20. All B lobby.
T1, L1 is totally clean, no one even rubs. I move up to 4.
Second chikane I get a good run out, entering Lesmo I am 3th.
Back straight towards Askari Imove to second.
Pulls a 7 second gap, move to P1 as the pole sitter pits.
He jumps me when I pit l8, I come out second with a 5 seconds gap to third.
Third closeś it to 3,6 at the end, due to having mediums while I am on hards now.
In the end I am very pleased with this.

That's solid pace, what times are you running in the race with clean air? I am doing 1.40 flat through 1.41.

Back to the tyres, I see a lot of people running the mediums until the last lap. For the life of me though, by lap 7 on mediums I am considerably faster on fresh hards. Especially the second lesson.

That's fast! I had fastest lap until lap 9, with a 1:50:2xx

I'll lose around .5 as my tires wear, mostly in the second chikane, so it depends on gap. If I have a good gap I'll change around 7-8.
If in slipstream (I wasn't in this race) I'll probably follow the car in, unless I started on medium and he started on hards.

It's always the people in lobbies with terrible liveries eg: all chrome/ fluorescent, energy drink sponsors or just have random decals everywhere that are the dirty drivers, never anyone with an actual nice livery. Heads up for ya.
Yeah, cause that makes any sense at all. Seriously?

<looks at Adam>........<looks at Pigems>..........<looks at some of Pigem's liveries>................erm.... yeh

GTPlanet
There’s quite a bit more pace in Race C, which takes your favorite Gr.3 cars to Monza. It’s a ten-lap event, with a tire use twist that sees both Racing Hard and Racing Medium compounds as mandatory. That means that you’ll need to pit at some point to change from one to the other, and, given Monza’s heavy penalty for not being in the slipstream, that could make for some odd strategy calls.

There's many viable choices for Monza yet all I see are GT-Rs. My first day lobby had 15 of them already. I guess many open leaderboards and lock themselves into their car choice for the rest of the week. So boring, IMO.

I raced in the Huracan and so long as you're mindful of its tyres, it's pretty competitive and can keep up with GT-Rs on straights. I found tyres became sketchy with the back causing noticeable slide by lap 8 on mediums. I think a 7M/3H strategy would work well. If only I'd known earlier, I may not have spinned and dropped 5 positions from 8th. :O Although I finished 11th by starting last so not the worst result.

Just an observation, not all are dirty, just from my experience that's what they have on there cars

As if a livery with an energy drink sponsor couldn’t possibly be good looking?

It's possible but most are haphazardly done/are of bad quality

Then there are the liveries with political messages on them. From my experience those aren't the cleanest drivers.

Saw one idiot with **** on the back of his car fair to he wasn't clean at all
