I actually went in to work today.
So I didn't get to look at the new races until this evening. I wasn't happy to see the porsche again...not a fan, but the Mazda at Tokyo should be a good combo for me. I got in for practice/Q, and had to relearn the track. I almost didn't recognize it with that lighting. After a couple really bad laps, I started dropping my time. I decided that the first lap that wasn't faster than the previous, I would quit, and load the top ghost to chase. Lasted about 5 laps, around the 2 minute mark. Once I started chasing I got into a groove, and ended up doing maybe 60-70 laps. I may be chasing 57's, and a top 10 this week. I put up a 1:58.3, with my best optimum a 57.7xx. I watched replays of the top 5 in the Americas, and my first 2 sectors will get me in the top 10 easy. That 3rd sector, though... I've done 1:19.3 a few times, and 1:19.4 a bunch for the first 2 sectors, but that chicane is killing me. I may have to go to circuit experience and work on it, because unless the times come down a lot, this msy be my best chance to get on that darn list! I just need to see the line and carry some speed...somehow. On a lighter note, once I did half a mid-air barrel roll before I reset, when I caught the second sausage in that thing!
