I did one race B, A+/S at the front, mostly B/S, I started last, finished 7th, no SR Downs.

However, immediately at the start plenty people dive for the very inside of T1, nobody wants to be on the outside, it's a fight for that little strip on the right edge of the track... That continued during lap one, people pushing each other off or taking the turn too fast from the very inside to end up wide, thus I moved up to 7th at the end of lap 1.

It was my first time in that car so I'm not that fast yet, just driving to stay out of trouble and stay on the road. By lap 3 a couple that got rammed off earlier caught back up. An American first, tried to position himself on my inside bumper for the long left in the middle, I didn't want any of that so I made my one move to defend the inside. He tried to overtake along the outside but failed (touched the kerb) and after the race blamed me for dirty driving...

Next a Brazilian, he did manage to dive a nose in two corners before the end and barge pass bump me out of the way. No SR Down for me, no penalty for the Brazilian either. Meanwhile the American instead of slowing takes the detour along the outside road to catch back up and come alongside me.

Final chicane comes up, I'm on the inside with the Brazilian in front of me, American on the outside next to me. I brake slightly too late (on purpose) to bump the Brazilian wide, returning the favor, which opens the door for the American. He passes but gets 0.5 sec shortcut penalty and I keep 7th place lol.

It's was the 6:30 race so likely dirty because of the time. Maybe I'll try again earlier tomorrow. This race was toxic and looked more like destruction derby instead of contact free racing.

Some laps in the Supra at Spa.. This one is tricky as hell :scared: Will go back tomorrow to scrape up some more as I was near half a second faster on the very next lap and locked the brakes approaching the final chicane to throw it all away

I'll defo go back to this one and pull the last few strands of hair I have left .. out 👍

sick of the N200 Races for Race A. Shame, I love Alsace.

Race B, probably the new Supra. Hard pass for me. That car is God awful. Brakes stink and it slides all over the place. Would be a miserable time at Spa.

Race C will be the choice once again this week. The tire multiplier though... yikes.

I will admit, for Race A, PD got ot right. That Peugeot is a lot of fun on that track.

Speaking of Alsace, it's a terribly under used track IMO.

After my SR disaster a few weeks ago on Blue Moon, I decided to do some races last night. Let's just say that the competition was mediocre at best. I did Race A in the Peugeot and set a pretty dismal lap time. I started in 7th but quickly dropped to 10th after getting pushed wide at the first corner. However that didn't really matter as I walked by several other cars before completing the first lap, and I found myself in fourth. I had a chance to get third but I failed with a botched overtake. Next race I took the cake without much trouble. I then did Race C, using the NSX for the first time. I tend not to use mid-engined Group 3 cars as they're a pain to drive, but NSX wasn't. It felt really fast and extremely agile, unlike anything I've driven in this game. Can't believe I never tried it before. The race itself was a walk in the park, and I won it easily by about 7.5 seconds. I didn't think I'd steer the NSX to victory on my first attempt.

When I drive the Supra in the daily race it handles like there's a weird grip issue so I set up a lobby using the same car, track, tyres and BOP settings. The car handles very differently in the lobby. Much less sliding, better braking, better traction.

I've been having a similar experience for a long time. I have no troubles winning in Gr.1 cars in GT League but in Sport Mode I can't even handle Gr.3 (I play using a DS4).

Speaking of Alsace, it's a terribly under used track IMO.

Agree, although my favourite track is the East loop of Tokyo Expressway (the one with the superlong straight) which is criminally underrepresented as well.

Tracks aside, I would love to see a daily race again that only specifies the vehicle class (for example N200) and then gives you free choice about which car you're gonna use. The last time I remember this happening was N400 in Le Mans. It was dominated by the Ferrari F40 but nevertheless some people managed to win in different cars as well. Even though I never managed to cross the finish line in 1st it was a lot of fun testing different cars and see how they fared against the top dog. Does anyone remember when this was? Feels like ages ago to me...

The Supra race is awesome. Probably my favourite since gr4 at Bathurst.

Turn 1 punters are a pain in the ass but once you get through eu rouge for the first time it's awesome.

The Supra is a joy to drive around Spa with TCS off. Just pull an extra gear and let it drift to the exit curb.

I like the car as an equaliser. The ones that find it difficult and/or dislike it, helps me to shine.:D
To be totally honest I was stunned you didn't have one of the Supras for the start of the week. I haven't tried that race but found the '20 version a bit tricky to handle.

I've been using the X and Square button for throttle and brakes forever. In a car as powerful as Gr.3, you should not use TCS lower than 2.

*Edit. There are of course, exceptions. Depends on track and tires.
If you're really good, disregard. There's a dude I know of in Japan who blows my mind with what he can do using X, [ ], and D Pad.

Hi, here also D-Pad with cross and square. But i try to use tcs 0 as much as possible. I only switch to 2 coming in to chicanes and sharp corners and go back to 0 as soon as possible. I feel i'm much quicker like that in stead of putting tcs on constantly. Do you use AT or MT? I'm on AT because i can't manage to put all those inputs in at the same time. Grtz

Yesterday I was back at race C, one in EMEA, two in NA.
EMEA was B/S, clean, went from p13 to p5, CRB.

The one NA with B/A, no qualify to get my SR back up. Started p15 was p7 by lap one due to people running off the track every where...
Changes from hard medium end of lap two, comes up behind a guy on his third lap on medium, he decided to block, move in brake zone and do all he can to not let me pass.
I go outside in braking zone where the two tracks go together, he swerves in front, I cut under and brake a little early so I get the run through the curve while he outbrakes himself into the wall.
On lap 6 I pit again, when I come out he is right in front of me again on worn tires. So the blocking and swerving carries on for a lap and before the last corner he brake checks me as hard as he can... That lands him 2 seconds penalty and gives me a cean run through the corner. Prenuptial lap, last corner I am behind two cars, they overslow at the corner soI go wide outside for an easy pass.
Unfortunately the rear one of them gets mad, rams the front one, he slides into me and I go off the curve.
So finished p5. Fastest lap but no CRB.
Fun though

So not sure how it works making the 2 stop fasteron race C. I just did a race to cool off after a battling FIA and it was a penalty manipulation fest. You are either straddling the curb on the inside or you are getting pushed out and penalized. Noticed it early, but still got 2 penalties from it. Both where I was already all the way on the curb and the car behind had to be pushing 4 wheels on the grass to get inside.

To hell with em. They were all 2 stopping. I start p6, get pushed wide and penalized down to p15 end of lap 2. Smooth driving I work my way up and up. After pits on lap 4 I am p9, as people do their second stop I go back to p6. P5 is on horribly worn tires and trying to defend. Someone comes by on faster tires and just makes a nice clean pass on me, but gets onto a battle ahead as both are determined to be all the way inside to penalize the other. Was hilarious as they took each other out at the point where the 2 tracks meet, I dive inside and roll on to finish p5. Not super fast time wise, but a good race to practice moving back up. SR took a hit, but only -5. Might have to touch it up tomorrow and move to the alt like I planned. Still a fun ending.:dopey:

Had some fun at Race C, qualified on hards (oops) and started 17th, dodged a few crashes and moved up well with the 2H/3M/3M strategy, and had a good clean fight over the last couple of laps with another Brit in a 911, might have had him but for a penalty server getting in between us at the start of the final lap, got past but was too far away, only just closed again by the end of the lap, ended up 5th though thanks to someone getting a tyre penalty.

Did a second race, still forgot to change quali tyres, and started last, although got past 19th at the final corner before the start. Not quite so clean this time, I messed up the tight hairpin near the end of the lap (T16?) on lap 1 and bumped someone off, but the whole race was much dirtier. I kept it clean for my part, but got taken out twice, and was at the back with about a lap and a half to go, but got back up to 12th thanks to some penalties and crashes ahead of me!!

There's some clean racing to be had there, and think I've got some room for improvement, it's not a track I know well, and might even switch to Mediums for qualifying!!

I qualified on hards since I start on hards, don't want to be a road block for two laps. But I moved up 6-7 spots in lap one so might reconsider.

This is the 3rd altercation in a week I have had with this driver. He blocks every pass attempt. I have “reported” him and “blocked” his profile but he keeps appearing in the same daily races as me. What else can I do? He is pure chaos in every race.

Would it make you feel any better if I mentioned he is dangerously close to a DR reset after the nonsense?

It might be awhile before you see him again. That drop to C is a bitch.

Edit: I looked a little further into his KP profile.

He's been a C rated 50000 point driver before. That takes a bit of talent.

Oh wow, but my DR dropped 15 points because of it too. :(

The race after the one above he was gone, but it was me and one other DR-A driver with a bunch of Ds. We made it through the first few turns and finished 1-2 with no one nearby.

I don’t think this is the last I see of him, unless I can somehow really boost my Dr. it’s far to easy to play nice for a few races and get back to S.

So frustrating... the 'fast' guy that is all over (and off) the track, who thinks it's racing to block you when you are faster and actually staying between the curbs.

It looks like you might have been tapped by the guy behind, as you were dealing with the idiot in 1st. It's equally annoying when people seize the opportunity, knowing that you are being abused by a reportable idiot, to attack, rather than show some sportsmanship in allowing you to manage it without the need to defend from their attack. I get it, it's a game, and it's only 3 laps, but when it's like that every race, the game is ruined, and I am more apt to let someone play defense from such idiots one at a time, rather than be clever and take advantage of you. I guess I'm too nice.

To each their own.

I find the car to be God awful. :irked:

Ha, it's understandable. They basically tried to set up the car so it has that oversteer fidelity like a Porsche. Only it's weight distribution just makes it feel like a heavy Porsche with weird feedback.

I enjoy the car but I love cars that drive that way. I saw a lot of people flicking themselves off of the track because they couldn't keep the car balanced while exiting a turn.

Right at 2:32 is when I would've lost my 🤬, and switched to full-on murder mode.

Mostly A/T, but I'll use M/T with cars that don't require tons of constant shifting.

Race B, P8 > P6. I thought I was going to enjoy Spa, I love the track, but that car on those tyres at my skill level is not so much fun.

If I'm stuck behind one of those and a faster driver catches us, I let him through. With any luck they'll deal with each other and leave me a clear track... but again that's at my skill level.

I don't know how you can do that, if I spend more than a couple of laps in A/T I lose track of all my braking points, cornering speeds and timings. I need to use M/T to keep focus.
