I, anyway, had a very pleasantly clean first run at Monza, but there were a few red A's sprinkled through the field who didn't have quite such a good time.

What a miserable piece of junk that rbr juniornis, rear end constantly wants to step out on corner entry. Like walking in egg shells, hate it.

Driving standards we appalling tonight, worst ibhave ever seen, just absolutely appalling. Anytime a car was near me I was punted, it was absolutely insane. SR dropped from 99 to 50 and I was brutally penalised for my troubles.

Absolute rubbish night of racing, worst i can remember.

I make strategy charts and often put them on Twitter and my videos. I thought I should share them here, at least for the C race:

For those who don't get the Doki Doki reference:
Doki Doki Literature Club (DDLC) is a Visual Novel game that is a great example of "don't judge a book by it's cover." It initially starts off as a dating sim, where the main character meets and gets to know four characters from the literature club. At a certain point in the game, the game goes from lighthearted to very dark. The game reveals itself to be a psychological horror game. DDLC is infamous for innocent people (people who don't know about the game's true nature) falling in to its cute theme at the beginning of the game, only to get frightened later on.

SR still on a slide. Will be a C soon. Last time I was C was day 3-5.
Slight gain in DR.

Edit: Got tapped from behind and dropped my SR again despite the entire race being perfect.

Race A is a total mess.
Had a flying start from 9th to 3rd.
First lap goes well, and suddenly the punting starts. Quite surprised it didn't start earlier. But then impossible to get back in race.
I saw this guy in my race who was B/S... ended up C/B... lol
And except me and the winner, we were the only one to stay in S after the race...
Haven't tried the two other ones yet but let's wait and see

Morning! Yesterday I did 6 races B. First one B/A lobby. Starting 2nd. Frenchman on pole, he takes inside line on 1st corner, I take normal line, nice cut back from me, exiting corner I leave him space, but he steers right, slightlty door to door contact, this pissed him off? I know what gonna happen in next corner.... He hit my back, I manage to miracly stay on the track, but his action turn into massive accident, I dont know why afrer this I got 7s penalty... Ended race as 8th... Now Im B/C:banghead:
"Keep calm and race again" I think.
Few minutes left to next race so I improved my QT 1,46.196:cool:
From this moment I got 5! Poles in a row, 4 wins and most important 5 CRB in a row which is my personal record:)
Now Im B/A 3pts of SR to S, DR grow more than 3k... Love Autopolis!
Using Atenza.
Edit: just checked kudos, +4,2k DR

Yep. Autopolis definitely my Fav real circuit in this game.

Had a couple numpties try to take me out on Lap one. The first one took himself out on lap 2 at the long right-hander T3.
The next one, I was catching. Wasn't going to serve him. A car is unghostunt and I'm on this cat'srear bumper. I release the gas. We're going to split the ghost. I go right, the other goes for the inside into the hairpin. Overcooked it as the car unghosts. I slow right up for the turn.
The unghosted car navigates the turn. I'm next up the inside and the dude drives into me. Drives into my passenger door again and I'm trying to gain control. Here it comes. Bang. Into the back of me. I serve it this time and pull away.

Race C is so nearly a good, if it wasn't for the mess at the chicane on lap 1, it would be much more fun.

Went no quali, and started 18th, but got a good start and thanks to some others crashing on a straight line, I was 15th by the chicane. Would have made up some good places, but hit a ghosted car in the middle of the chicane and lost some speed, as well as picking up a 1s penalty. Even with serving that, thanks to a bit more chaos at Ascari, I was up to 7th and battling the pole sitter at the end of lap 2. Went side by side into the chicane on lap 3, both gave space, but I lost the back end and spun off. That dropped me down to 13th, but got back up to 7th by the end, had some fun battles on the way, and watched some others crash each other out.

DR up to 19.2k, still all time high, don't know what's going on lately, and picked up 1 SR point to get back up to 96 after dropping to 95 at Fuji on Sunday. I think there's some good racing to be had at Monza, just wish there was something that could be done about the first lap carnage.

Some people don't understand that when you are in a slipstream and you can't overtake, instead of diving and breaking late, just break early, avoid contact and get going even faster and overtake next straight.

Now the problem is sometimes, the guy in front breaks super early on purpose and all you will do is crash into him and get a 2 second penalty!

I was in the yellow AMG - hopefully I did not make any move that ruined your race. The Italian driving the purple 911 was very dirty during that race, ruining a few people races with overoptimistic moves. I was so pissed off at some point that I wanted to punt him off into oblivion, but I thought I might catch somebody else in my revenge and let it go...

No issue with you at all, only two were a problem in that race really, the one you mention and the British flag driver in the Skittles car, they did a big divebomb on me earlier, I posted the video in the penalty thread I think. :)

Well it was indeed carnage for most of my racing yesterday on my R4M profile.

I dropped back to C but only actually lost about 1200 of DR points which I will probably pick back from Race B today, my last race C yesterday I started last 20th and finished 4th so up 16 places, it's actually quite a challenging race but man the Red Bull Junior does not like the curbs on T2 chicane, lost it so many times there!

I find mine hating T4 or T3 depends whether you consider the main bendy/straight as a turn.
As soon as I get going again my car stars spinning like crazy. I'm on TC0 so maybe that doesn't help but still..

TC0 is a bit of a nightmare TBH with the Red Bull.

I have mine set to TC2 and BB -2 which seems to stabilise the car a lot more but feel slightly slower otherwise it will spin you in those corners.

Not a personal fan of this week’s races, despite getting a Q10/P10 at Monza yesterday, and it included a pretty tense four-way battle for 7th. Might check out the FIA races and play some Ace Combat 5 for a change. Or maybe I’ll actually try setting a time for Race A - I suppose the least I could do is try.

I’m almost at 34k DR, too. What’s the DR needed to reach A+? I don’t think it’s 35k...is it?

50k for A+.

Well i do very much like Autopolis. Did well here last time in the Gr2 cars. Started Monday morning with a few laps quali very quickly set a 1.46.3. In the Audi. Only did one race Monday Q2 P5. I messed up somewhere. Knocked 3ths off yesterday. With Opt of 1.45.5. Went on this morning and got landed with this lobby. Still finished P8. Tip with Audi, always have some throttle on. A+ DR is like 49,999

Just got a couple of Q2s at Race A this morning, and I had the fastest lap for one of them. Maybe I’m better at this combination than I thought. I even got pole for one of them, but I got punted at the second U-turn in the first lap. That said, I fought my way from 9th back into 2nd, and I feel like I was on pace to get 1st if the race was just a bit longer, as by the time the race ended, I was only about half a second behind.

My biggest problem is that I take alot of time qualifying/practicing and get into the race and my tires are completely terrible. Race B first turn is usually a 3rd gear turn but not in the race.

A specific problem with this week's Race C is the gears are set up for the regular Monza, not the no-chicane variant. If you're in the slipstream coming out of Parabolica you're going to be riding the rev limit all the way around Curva Grande into the braking zone for the chicane, but only going slightly faster than the car you're drafting. If sixth topped out 10 or 15 kph higher it'd be a lot easier to make solid passes before the end of the straight.

Amazing time and you absolutely nailed that lap. I'm a few seconds back. Could only manage a 1:40.7.
Cheers :) I've found this car is about confidence. It took me a while to figure out how fast it can really go through corners so I would guess that's the main way for you to find time :)

Plus the Della Roggia chicane (first chicane in this layout) which is evil in this car and pretty much defines your lap. Feels like the way the car goes over the kerbs is a dice roll at times. Then there's the fact that by the time you brake for the first time on your lap, you're already a minute into your attempt from a fresh restart, you've gone flat out for 40+ seconds straight and 90% of the time you'll end up restarting again right away. Creates a lot of frustrating downtime that I imagine is putting people off, and is also the reason why Mission 34 in GT4 was way more frustrating than it should've been. ;)

Race C is actually fun.

8 out of 10 times you will be punted out in the early laps of the race which will throw you to the end of the pack. From there, you have 8-9 laps to chase down the mid field cars. So much fun :dopey:

In one of my races yesterday I started 12th, went up to 6th in the first lap, got punted out into 15th in the first lap, and then finally finished 8th.

Show some love to Race C
