It seems to me a really good Junior formula car... it does reward confidence, but requires a careful throttle foot to be fastest. That chicane is sneaky devilish at times... I put two wheels too far to the left, when TRYING to be conservative, and looped it in one race, cost me some spots that I otherwise was cruising ahead of without worry. It is also good as a Jr formula car, because mistakes translate into big time deltas... separating the good drivers from the field. I really like it, and enjoyed the Daily at AUTOPOLIS a few months back, too.CheersI've found this car is about confidence. It took me a while to figure out how fast it can really go through corners so I would guess that's the main way for you to find time
Plus the Della Roggia chicane (first chicane in this layout) which is evil in this car and pretty much defines your lap. Feels like the way the car goes over the kerbs is a dice roll at times. Then there's the fact that by the time you brake for the first time on your lap, you're already a minute into your attempt from a fresh restart, you've gone flat out for 40+ seconds straight and 90% of the time you'll end up restarting again right away. Creates a lot of frustrating downtime that I imagine is putting people off, and is also the reason why Mission 34 in GT4 was way more frustrating than it should've been.![]()
It is interesting you note the 1 minute thing... as I was putting in my QT for the Daily Race over the course of an hour, at least 50% of the time, my Parabolica exit was such that by the time I hit the chicane, I was 0.1 - 0.2 sec behind! Really drives discipline, that car...
