WHy on earth would Bathurst be 3 instead of 4 laps? There's time for four laps no?

There's plenty time for 5 laps. 20 minute time slots, 5 laps would still be about 11 minutes per race. +1 minute matching begins, +2 minutes warm-up starts, +3 minutes race starts, +15 minutes back to lobby, +17 minutes lobby closes. 3 minutes to sign up for the next race.

Race C is back to the lobby at +23, +25 lobby closes. 5 minutes to sign up for the next race.

But I guess PD has lost all faith in people passing on the mountain so instead you get 7+ minutes between races to qualify and 6 minutes to show off your qualifying times in a parade across the mountain.

3 lap races are pointless. First 2 laps and last lap are always chaos.

To add some 'nostalgia' the good:

And the bad, more what I would expect this week

It is absolutely disgusting to play together with grasshoppers and others equally desirous of first place and do not look at the means to achieve it. Furthermore it is not fair, for those like me, who do not know, nor intend to tamper their console to obtain this effect. I already suspected the veracity of many A, A + and other S, and for me, all of these, their best, is equal to zero. I really believe that many of these "aliens" get PSplus without paying, but that will be a reason for Sony to find out. Just wish that all of these are excluded from playing on ps5.

What?

Ok I am not an alien but I was A+ at 70k until I raced from the back, it's not even that hard to get, not as hard as it should be anyway, even with the penalty system nonsense.

I've also never tampered with my launch PS4, I have an old (in TV terms) Sony TV that can only output 720p, I used an entry level wheel (T150 with T3PA pedals) on a wheel stand pro sat on a standard living room chair and there are many others on similar setups too, heck even some pad users are as quick or quicker than me. Sadly (or not) there isn't some secret shortcut to suddenly go seconds faster.

I also pay for PS Plus, wasn't aware you could get it for free.

Had this happen to me once... except I was at 32k DR and dropped to 7k DR. I didn't even realize this could happen! Took me a couple of weeks just to get back to A 30k DR then somehow spiked from 30k DR to 60k DR in just two days, lol. Now I'm just coming back down to earth slowly but surely! All you need is one good race and just grind from pole every race.

I am going to throw this out there as a thought but you need to realize I have no idea what a DR over 2K looks like (although I did lose 2K in a single rce) . . should there be a limit (highs & lows) on the DR a driver receives from a single race? Losing 30K in a single race is ridiculous and I am not sure I would do any online racing after that but I am just speculating.

Race A
How come some cars are way faster when they are all BOP? , and sticking to race A to build up race skill is proving to be a wast of time thanks to cars going out of thier way to bump you off and giving you penalties, so frustrating.

Honestly I'd love for there to be a limit to the amount you can lose during one race. Took me months to achieve this goal of being an A driver just to have it all taken away in a single race for some undeserved penalties. I almost quit and threw the game in the garbage.

It was on this day I made an alt account, screw that ever happening to me again! Crazy thing is I'm able to achieve A in just 2-3 days now. Once I got over that hurdle, it's not as hard to get there again and again.

You can't lose 30K DR in a single race from finish position alone. Even in a 20 place grid, max loss if you come last is 19x160 = 3040 and even then all the drivers that beat you would need to be 40K or more lower in DR than you.

What you can do is lose enough SR to trigger a DR reset. To quote information on Kudos Prime: "A low SR score can limit the DR Class, and even reset the DR score to predefined values (7000 pts if SR dive below 5, 20,000 pts below 15 and 50,000 pts below 30."
If you lose enough SR in one race your DR will drop to match the limits imposed by low SR. To recover, first you need to rebuild your SR.

They're not exactly as fast as each other. The '89 is probably fastest in a straight line (highest power output) but sucks coming in to or out of corners unless you get it exactly right. The '07 is the easiest to drive consistently but is slightly slower. The Greddy Fugu is lowest power by a big margin but is much easier to accelerate out of corners due to more forgiving differential setup. Each car will be faster in certain situations if the driver has the skill to exploit its strengths.

My SR dropped to 50 or 55 I believe and that was enough? Monza w/chicane in GR3 cars. I'll never attempt that again.

Wish stuff like that could get reviewed or challenge it or something! Felt like when you're a kid on GT1 knocking out an endurance race just to get down to the last laps when moms hits the light switch turning off the game in the process, all progress lost.

Yes if you want a Dr reset due to Sr dropping too many levels below your Dr then race at Monza. Does not matter much which version or what car you are in, it'll probably happen sooner rather than later and if it's a short race it's almost a certainty. ;)

If only I had discovered this place a few weeks earlier... I would have known, ha. You OG's on here already knew what I found out the hard way

Oof, struggling to stay on the track in B now, maybe switch to BMW. I’m a little slower but more consistent!

Last race I went off at the end of the straight following the S’s every time lol.

Raced someone there a few times who overtakes me well here, so I’m looking at the radar and just shoot into the sand! Yikes

The BMW can get a bit snappy when you're accelerating out of the slow corners, the Vantage and GT-R are quick and pretty manageable.

Common misunderstanding that BOP is aiming to make all cars equal on every track. The BOP is there to make sure one car doesn't dominate over a season. Different tracks will always highlight different strengths. Some are power tracks, some are handling.
In this case they all perform different but their characters should even it out over the track

Just got sended outerspace, guy wasnt even braking and got 3s penalty, wtf? Back to sr A... Asseto Corsa Competizione is coming, anybody know is there penalty system which works? This one in GTS is a joke

Here it is:

Btw. Got another stupid race with stupid penaltys and stupid people... Im done for now, maybe some day Ill be back in GTSport, Real Driving Simulator my 🤬

What seems to be the most popular model for Race A?
Yeah, Fugu is definitely the main car for A. The others are fast and kind of fun but are always trying to kill you. Fugu is pretty planted with a nice balance. It will get rumbled at the end of a long straight if the Zs don't hit the walls but will fly away in the turns.

Did see a guy in the new Z miss his braking point into the hairpin, wiped out 2 Fugus and he slid into.the pits after the contact, they carried on ok. Thought it was a good self pit maneuver.

this is a textbook Burnout 3 takedown right here (love this game back in the PS2 era ^^)
