Accurate description of race C:

Gran Turismo™SPORT_20200622103446.jpg

They collected 7 seconds after not even half lap 1, they were tapped, pushed into a wall and tapped again

I finished 8th with fastest lap, straight from 20th and I even had a 1.5 penalty as I went wide at some point and touched the wall.

I guess I'll jump on my main account and farm DR this weekend, courtesy of Sardegna mayhem

Just spent some time in Race C, about 20min Quali in the Ferrari which got me to a 1:49.814, BB -1 TC 0, started 2nd in a race, loads of TT's one ferrari behind me, he was super aggressive into turn4/5 so I let him through, later he got a barrier contact penalty and I regained 2nd, Consistently ran 1:51's all race and finished 2nd, clean race and 2sec off the leader nice 1,200 DR boost, Ferrari seems way better in the slower corners and last sector than the TT but I can't seem to carry the same speed as others through turn 3

Back to B/S as well after two days in purgatory. Mt. Panaroma looks like another SR hell, so will probably stick with race C. RCZ still seems to dominate for me - even with last week's BoP adjustment. Will play around with some others tomorrow to see if I can find something that runs similar times with less squeal given tire wear is activated.

Last week, I've gained up to a total of 40k SR from Daily Race C alone despite the chaos of turn 1 and 2. This week, I lost 4k SR in Daily Race B after choosing the wrong car twice. The AMG GT3 seems to be good for now.

We finally get Bathurst after I don't even know how long and it's an absolutely pointless 3 lap race B? Could easily be 4, maybe even 5 laps. The wait between the races is longer than the race itself. Won't even bother setting up my wheel for this. Might do a couple of races from the back with a DS4 though, just to see how many penalties I can get for getting hit.

By lap 4, Race C feels like you are on lap 11, even if you are battling and stuff, such a slow feeling!

Imo they should have been inverted, Gr4 at Bathurst and Gr3 at Sardegna.

Playing on a PS4 and then filming it with a phone and uploading it on YT.

I received two penalties today in GR4 race C at the same spot and cannot work out how. Anyone got any ideas because this is so annoying.

Didn't it show the reason under the penalty? If it didn't then I'll tell you, that's an easy one. Completely insignificant contact on corner exit. That's worth a penalty in GTS now, if you were wondering. You should have just punted them right off because that would probably have been no penalty.

I think the daily races need an overhaul. Only race C interests me now as by the time the last lap comes on races A & B I’m only just getting in to it. I think there needs to be at least 2 longer races a week. After the FIA races the dailies are such an anticlimax. I love the excitement of the separate qualifying for each race, and it’s tiring sitting there for hours trying to shave a few tenths off your qualifying time.

Yes Race C should be like the FIA races, one per hour, so they can be longer, except with Q done on a race by race basis during the entry period. Race B should be like Race C is now, sometimes you have to pit, other times not and Race A should be like it and Race B are now only with a lap or two more.

All this has been said before though. ;)

:gtpflag:

Should retitle the following as "RCZ Trophy":

Race C
Track: Sardegna – Road Track A II, 10 laps
Car: Gr.4 – Garage Car
Tires: Racing Hard
Start Type: Rolling Start
Fuel use: 3x
Tire use: 5x

RCZ has been nerfed a bit, this week you can compete quite easily in the TT.

But yes, Gr4 is pretty much always the same, RCZ vs TT.

Oh how I’ve missed slinging the RCF GT3 around Bathurst. Got a 2:04.323 in my second race of the morning(somewhat due to drafting) which prompted me to improve my quali time. Thus my quali time has been improved to a 2:04.443. I don’t see it improving by much of a margin unless I tap into some alien potential. Three laps being too short aside, I’m somewhat salty it isn’t a night race.

That was me in the lead. You were definitely much faster than me in the slow corners.Nice consistency, especially in the final laps, glad it wasn't 2 or 3 more laps longer :D
Will definitely try that Ferrari !

It'll be for awful replay music and filming the screen with a phone.

Also for hitting the car in front both times.
In my defence the 3s penalty I didn't make contact at all, the 1s penalty I came off the power to avoid touching but he slowed more than I thought. I mean barely noticeable. But punting is fine half the time. Filming, yes sorry my bad

There's the effects of latency to consider - a not-touch on your screen might be a big touch on someone else's.

Yes, it's quite variable. If you've identified that corner as being particularly arsey for it (perhaps it's because it's a reverse circuit and it thinks you're in a braking zone just there), avoid it as best you can!

:p

It is as obvious as why the Easter Bunny vacations in Fiji . . . the color of your car! I watched it several times and I don't see anything. I don't see any bumps - did you bump?

First time racing the mountain for race B. Qualified 5th which was surprising. 2:05:7

Tricky stuff, held 6th with some bumps here n there, and lost it last lap. Stayed off track with a lot of high speed traffic behind, dropping and ending p11.

Fun and intense, but short. Maybe good for me though playtime wise!

goodluck this week :)

I decided to hold off on doing this week's Dailies until after Saturday's FIA races, and boy am I glad I did! I ended up getting a DR reset from being at the top of A/almost A+ to the bottom of DR B, all because of 1 race at Monza. It's a shame, because even with the complete chaos, I had a lot of fun driving from the back of the grid (I didn't set a qualifying time). I did over 20 races at Monza, and managed to win 3, with all of my wins coming from 17th place on the grid (including 2 races where that was the last starting spot).

Because I wanted to avoid being taken out at the start of the race, I avoided setting a qualifying time for Race C until I knew I was done with it for the week, but when I finally set a time, it was good enough to put me in a tie for 45th in the Americas.

Looks like I'll be racing the Dailies this week as well even though I don't like any of them. My DR is at 26k and I need to get it back to at least 40k before Saturday...

Had this happen to me once... except I was at 32k DR and dropped to 7k DR. I didn't even realize this could happen! Took me a couple of weeks just to get back to A 30k DR then somehow spiked from 30k DR to 60k DR in just two days, lol. Now I'm just coming back down to earth slowly but surely! All you need is one good race and just grind from pole every race.

I managed to claw back 11k and get my DR back up to 26k just yesterday, but it'll probably be a struggle to get back to 40k (where I stand a better chance of being placed in the 200+ point races in FIA) since I don't have quite the pace advantage in the "typical" cars like I do in most of the open-wheel machinery, not to mention the inherent difficulty increasing your DR as you rank up. If only there was an F1500T race or a race at Yamagiwa or BMB this week, then I'd be confident I could get back to 40k easily.

It is absolutely disgusting to play together with grasshoppers and others equally desirous of first place and do not look at the means to achieve it. Furthermore it is not fair, for those like me, who do not know, nor intend to tamper their console to obtain this effect. I already suspected the veracity of many A, A + and other S, and for me, all of these, their best, is equal to zero. I really believe that many of these "aliens" get PSplus without paying, but that will be a reason for Sony to find out. Just wish that all of these are excluded from playing on ps5.

That's where I screwed up I jumped up my DR so high I didn't stand a chance against my competition even though best lobbies I had ever seen with 300+ points. You'll get there before you know it! I haven't raced at mount panorama in ages but if you can get pole and keep the lead I bet it's real easy to create a gap while others squabble behind you.

What is it with people always going for a "space" or a "move" which isn't on? Race C is a nightmare due to this and I lost 30 SR in 1 race because some people love to think that they're the next Daniel Ricciardo.

In my last race I started second only to be taken out by the person behind me on the 2nd turn. After a long and arduous recovery drive, I was on for 7th, two TTs ahead of me were fighting towards the end of the final lap, I took advantage and slipped up the inside of both of them. Then one of the TTs lunges me out of nowhere on the final turn, a move which wasn't on in the first place, knocks me wide, I keep my car straight and to the left to the finish line, but he then decides to continuously ram into the side of me. He spins me out and I get slapped with the 1s penalty and lose 30SR to add insult to injury. Totally despicable. At least try to race with an ounce of integrity ffs. How that person can be satisfied with that result by essentially cheating their way through is sickening.

Anyway, apart from that, I'm enjoying Race C. Now to recover the SR...
