Agreed, though at my level the examples are usually just poor driving. There is a responsibility to watch the car in front of you, including recognizing their brake lights if you are behind. Not all are as kind or respectful as you, to 'show' their nose inside to share their intention... though I also make a point to, if I think I can outbrake someone. At least not at the A/B rating line... expecting that if I get up into A/A+ range to see more of these non-verbal communications and more intelligent racing.
Another example of 'good' communication: in that same Sardegna race, was ahead of a Subaru who was rated quite a bit higher than me (shout out Jochavez217), and was clearly fast, but I was able to gap him on half the track. Problem was, he could close in on me harder in the other half. Two laps of him on my rear bumper, where he would lightly nudge me when my TT topped out, because he knew he couldn't cleanly pass me in the upcoming turns, so we worked together. I knew his intentions were not to press me, and I could maintain qualifying lines and pace, without worrying about him divebombing me unfairly.
I made a small mistake on the last turn entry after two or three laps of this, though, and since I respected him behavior the previous laps, willingly gave up the position rather than impede his momentum... he eventually pulled out to a small lead, and we both went on to finish without any pressure from behind.
You don't see much of this type of respect in the lower lobbies, but as you see more and more of it in the game in higher lobbies, it's a real nice thing and makes the game fun.
Also with lower lobby's or just not as skilled drivers you find they are reacting to people's brakes which is bad and they often forget to factor in the slipstream, in Fuji as an example I had a brake point for with and without slipstream so I knew I'd make a corner whatever the scenario
For example when I'm right behind someone in a long race and a gap behind I lift off before braking zones not much but just so I can not hit them, because you can always ease off the brake to close back up under braking and or focus on your exit to make the time back up
Where as less aware will tail gate you as close as they can and still try and brake at their marker not thinking if you'd brake at the same point
And if they are within a few tenths seeing the brake lights is too late to react
And by reacting it's usually a panic brake which triggers the abs more and causes your braking to be longer and eventually to hit the other guy not to mention the fact they would have slipstream and extra speed into the braking zone
