Today I had to jump on the bandwagon for a while.

Brought my qualy lap down to 7:07.41 using the TT from 7:11.00.

Will give the M4 other try later.

EDIT: now QT down to 07:06.166 - I could run the Nordschleife for weeks and never get tired of it!

DWG gave me a Cayman. Has probably the highest theoretical speed by gearing. Will make time to set a lap and see how it goes.

Have some time this morning so i figured I'd run laps with my coffee. Race A is still making my nuts. I just can't stop rubbing on the walls at apex. This is not a problem i can remember having before, and it's super frustrating. As is this.....

Now i have to keep going till i break under 34:mad: btw, @MOPARbarrett5 nice lap, using your ghost to chase.

Bathurst is weird, I cannot seem to do much better than a 2.05.7 in the race but in clear air I do 2.06.5 on cooked tyres. I am being harassed early int he race, guys are all over me but I am tapped out on pace despite qualifying with a 2.04.2 . But by lap 4 I start catching them. I think it is because I move the BB fwd as the tyres wear.

It's getting more competitive as the week goes on... with a similar QT I was only gridded 13th in the first race I jumped into after the FIA race last night. And most of us in the pack after the first few aliens were within a second of each other on qualifying time. Such a fun challenge.

Been mostly clean, though the occasional bottle-up causing impatience behind you can cause some tempers to flare, but I've just let those guys around most times, if it happens.

And track limit penalties, though rare, or penalties of any kind: instant race ruined, with where the penalty gate is on the start of the final long straightaway. But it makes sense.

The challenge of running one perfect lap with a car just in front and behind you, in the Gr4 cars... I am enjoying this one.

I have finally broken down and decided to try and learn the Nordschleife this week! I'm hoping to get comfortable enough (do you ever really get "comfortable" with this track?) to try Daily Race B by the weekend.

I have avoided the Nordschleife to this point because I have found it too overwhelming and intimidating, so I hadn't even tried the circuit experience with this track yet. This week I finally did all of the sectors and got gold on each. I'm only silver at this point on the full lap (7:08 so far), but will keep at it to try and reach gold. I haven't spent much time in the M6 Gr3 car until now either, but I kind of the like the way it feels and I really like the engine sound :).

I tried a few Race B qualifying laps in the M4. Since it feels somewhat similar to the M6 I figure I would use that car while I'm still working on the circuit experience. So far my best is 7:34. Hopefully I can get that under 7:30 and then have a go at the race.

So I have moved on from the "I dread the Nordschleife" stage, to the "Hey, the Nordschleife is actually kind of fun" stage, and now working on the "How do I get faster on the Nordscheife" stage.

The biggest thing I've learned so far is that there a LOT more stretches on the track where you can stay full throttle than I originally expected.

Nice! Where do we get the Gatling gun? Mileage exchange? I'd gladly pay 99,999 mileage points for it. 👍
I am really thinking it comes from one of the mission challenges. Was wanting RPG but couldn't find them.

And I remember after my start glitch race how tou were wanting grid type starts at Monza. They're Heeeeerrrreeeeee!!!!
:nervous::nervous::scared:

Go to the track experiance section of the game, you can practice sections of the track and the full track think it's split in to 11 or 12 sections I found this to be a massive help with the green hell with doing every section over and over again when I first started the game, love this track now. :gtpflag: :D

Good afternoon, friends.
Last night I had a chance to race first time in a while so I joined c for no qual.
I participated in 2 races.
I lost sr due to my mental state causing me to have less caution than normal.
I enjoy DB9 on c race. I tried mr but on this track I can’t push in anything unstable.
I will see if I regain sr or regain reset now...

Glad to know you're still alive. :)

Thanks!
Things need attending to sometimes during normal GTS playtime. If they are stressful things there’s always a chance my opponents in game might not like me too much, but it’s low dr sr.
That’s what it’s for.
:)
Probably won't see you on track for the next few days. I'm really terrible at all 3 races. :O
I expect to do a bunch of the A races next week, at Monza. 👍

Gee Bathurst is absolutely joyless. I admire the effort to make it different but I cannot see a damn thing, braking is a nightmare, i have no idea where my markers are half the time. It's basically a hot lapping exercise, racing is pointless, just ends in tears as both parties are flying blind.

No issues from my end. Loving this race

Racing the Nord from the back. 2 races with overly agressive/blocking drivers and I'm at D/E. Two rsces and I cant get out of E. Last one I had no penalties and only 2 SR downs that I saw. Both were "racing incedents" with cars that I was racing clean. Neither upset either car enough to cause a problem. It's the Nord. If you can't gently swap a little paint when cleanly racing through bumpy corners, what's the point? BTW, got a 3rd on that race, from 12th. Followed a Ferarri through the second half. One of my SR downs was when he got sideways and I bumped him a bit. Figured to pass him for my podium spot on the final straight, but he got a bit high in the last carousel and looped it. Too bad...it was the best battle of the week so far.

Wow. Just did my first amd probably only race C this week. Chaos. Started p10, car spins ahead turn 1. Car then crashes in the cutting. Car loses it in the dipper and is actually facing the wrong way! Then someone loses it on the final corner. 1 lap up to p6, no passing.

I let a couple of faster cars through and they proceed to beat the hell out of each other. I get caught in the middle when 1 ghosts, the other waits for them to go back by and I get just in between due to traffic flow. I let them by again and dude promptly spins himself off at hell corner.:indiff:

Cruised home to p7 from there. People seem hell bent on going full flat out with all the risk. Not taking into account cold tires or dirty tires. And this was an A and B lobby. Oh well. Got the SR I needed to top out again and that is it for me. :p
