I just had a funny idea. I've been doing some GT League races today, to make back the money I recently spent on new cars. The AI cars really are more aggressive than they used to be. The way some of them drive, resembles some Sport Mode racers.
Here's an example. I'm in the green car. The pink car is driven by AI.

Anyways, here's my funny idea: What if PD used AI cars to fill up the Daily Race grids that are below capacity?
Imagine how badly people would freak out if they get punted and/or receive penalties from the AI cars. :lol::lol::lol::lol:

Benefitted from carnage at the chase.

You hot a golden horseshoe hidden up your butt or something for that? Awesome parting of the seas for you, especially holding it with the rear on the grass.👍

As for @Supercededman and field makeup. I have had nasty, rough drivers from all over. Just depends on the time. When I got on for that race it was early, so dinnertime in Oz, cutting down. We've all got nasty drivers repping our flags, and everyone has one of those days some times where it all goes wrong.

I had to bail one night on my alt after I blew my braking point at the same turn 2 races in a row and ruined the same drivers race both times. He will forever think I am dirty because the combinations of our avoiding actions meant I hit him dead on both times. I actually quit the race out of shame. Just race who you can and keep hoping for good clean drivers no matter where they come from.

There's nothing like getting rammed out of 9th at The Chase into the clutches of another rammer who would do the same two laps later to remind me to stop trusting others with my fun.

Also I really wish they would come up with a strategy that doesn't have faster drivers who are either dirty or had DR resets, put in lower lobbies where they can record easy wins and take opportunities away from lower rank drivers to get wins.
It's the dirty drivers that are the problem, combined with a penalty system that frequently (not always) mis-assigns blame. The faster clean drivers who've had resets are only in the lower ranks for a few races before earning enough DR to go back up to the higher levels. The dirty drivers are the reason that the reset clean drivers are in the lower levels and the dirty drivers are repeatedly in the lower levels themselves due to their own penalties.

It's those drivers that remind me to "pick my battles, bro". I'm bad at Bathurst & know that people are chaotic there. One of my alts got a reset at Big Willow last week & I didn't dare risk another reset for any of my accounts this week. Be glad when we get back to some other tracks that are less confined. See you guys in España starting tomorrow.

I don't mind you doing it, I'm asking what are the strategic benefits?
Fresh tyres means you can push harder, and if you didn't have to refuel your car is also lighter meaning you'll be going even faster than the opposition. It might give you the edge you need to make a pass.

Some cars are also complete ass to drive with worn tyres so it might even be a required stop to make it the full distance without crashing.

I had some great races at Bathurst yesterday although you're at the mercy of whether those around you want to race clean. SR A was the most fun and clean. The only incident was someone who punted me into the wall along The Esses but stopped and waited for me to recover. I can count the number of people who done that on a single hand throughout my time playing. When I reached SR S again, it was back to the same old pushing, shoving and tactical dirty that inevitably dropped me down to SR A again. It's a continuous cycle.

My cars of choice were the McLaren F1 and Corvette, solid, fast along straights if a little heavy on handling. The Vantage is probably better in almost every area but I don't like driving it. I saw several struggling in the SR S lobbies (over half the grid using one) and causing problems for others but because it's the 'go to' car, they're probably refusing to use anything else.

Yeah, the Corvette has some really good top end. I was making up a lot of time on the straights. You can also brake a bit late and it doesn't go off, I can safely brake one car length ahead of the cone on the long back straight. I think some others were struggling with brakes a bit.

Today's the last day right? Monday can't come any sooner.
I didn't even waste my time trying the Nordschleife race.

Good morning friends,

I’ve been having great fun on the c race, in the cockpit of the dbr9.
Boo yah! I have been victorious multiple times, and had some good races from the back as well!
Some incidents happen every race, just gotta be aggressive in this game. Few are gonna lift or avoid if there’s a gap so be aware.
Dbr9 is sketchy in dirty air until the tires heat up, but after about lap 3 fuel load is lighter and tires are warm and it’s pretty wicked.
If you ain’t first, you’re last!

We tried out the daily races on Saturday Night so figured I'd get the guide out before the week starts so it makes a bit more sense with the graphics I have with it! Hopefully this is helpful :)!

We could be wrong with Race A but the idea of the video is to give an idea about the racing and a track guide and both are possible with the information we have :)!

Definitely. Came across someone who's done 1,800 races with almost 1,000 wins. Absolutely a fast driver. But also willing to punt those ahead of them to get the wins.

I enjoy the win more than the next racer, but not at the expense of ruining other peoples races. Main account has 85 wins or there about, been pretty stagnant on the winning front. But wouldn't tank my DR/SR to get easier matches and a higher chance of winning.

But to each their own and clearly, to some. The thrill of beating opponents less skilled than themselves, or beating challengers by ramming them is fun. ‍

Haven't had any time to race on weekends just lately been up to my elbows in car repairs and like my racing getting no where very fast lmao.
Kind of like the look of all 3 races for this week coming so might give them all a good go and with a bit of luck, might just get some where. :D

This. I enjoy winning a race, but I've gained enough skill that trying to win in C/D/E rooms is not enjoyable. Plus, I decided that I want to gain DR & move up to A/A+ ratings. A win here or there is icing on the cake.

it's kinda fun

quite satisfying when someone tries to punt you and ghosts themselves off
not so great when they connect, you lose 10s and they get 3s penalty

very wild west

Only raced around the Nordschliefe this week. I enjoy Bathurst & I'm usually quite consistent around there but I'm not in the dark. Too risky for those around me.
Started the week with a 7.15 QT to see what the opposition was like then increased it to 7.10. Lots of podiums but the top step has eluded me. SR has been up and down, downs are usually for collecting someone's mistake. Thought I was capable of 7.06 ish for the last day, could I hell put in a clean lap & only increased by 0.3
Last couple of races & will probably have a break next week. Got tickets to see bike racing at Olivers Mount, haven't heard live race engines at full belt for a while :)
For those who haven't heard of it Oliver's Mount is kind of the TT, Nordschliefe & Bathurst squeezed on to a hill in Scarborough. Grid start & a **** of a hairpin for the 1st corner leading up Sheene Rise

My final time for Race A is 1:33.191. I am happy with that given that it was done with a controller and automatic transmission. I tried about 20 last to first challenges on my alternate account though only won one due to it being a demolition derby. I don't really think it is worth livestreaming but later I will make a highlight video of the race I did manage to win.

Some of this weekend's take. CRB, or even a blue SR, are tough here. I put in a Q time on the last race since the weekend is over, and I wanted to try to build SR and DR after the last reset. Almost every reset this week. (Gotta be 5 or 6) was caused by someone in front of me making a major error, and me trying to pass them clean, going 30-60 mph faster than they are. They watch their mirrors and jump in front, then get punted. I've even started going for the fake, and have made it by a couple times with that move. My nord skills have definitely moved up a notch. I set that 7:08.1 between races with barely enough time on the clock to get a lap in. I was suprised at the time because I jumped the bsnking on the last carousel and almost looped it, then got into the grass a few seconds later after the right at the top of the hill. I hope to get my alt back to B/S this week.

Edit: finished the week trying to keep my word. 4 laps hot lapping, 7:05.763. It wasn't pretty, but it is an 05, so I'm happy.

Cmon. Wheres the Italian showdown.
The MR battle.
4WD faceoff?

I will probably race it. But they need to do something other than the FF showdowns. They are so much an RCZ 1 make on a lot of these setups it isnt as mixed as it was at Autopolis or Tsukuba. Oh well. Gr2 at Tokyo looks to be a deadly little temptress.:mischievous:

In my race, none.
Depends what position you're in on track.
I was losing performance on worn tyres. I took the opportunity with a big enough gap to cars behind. The AMG GT3 behind, must have pitted after, as it was gaining towards the last couple of laps.
The RX-VISION, without a tow, is not as fast as the Mustang. It also doesn't have a high torque figure. So, I lose time accelerating out of slow corners.

I love this week's races! Race C is a blast to drive(been doing TTs) and Race B promises to be kinda cool if overtaking is possible(might end up like F1 though.), and A will be... interesting. Catalunya and Tokyo look really good for hotlapping, and I predict races will won more through qualifying. Penalty madness at Tokyo chicane too, will probably be bad for SR, but qualifying there will be fun!.
