Started 8th at Bathurst, in the RX-V. A bit of cars going off. Mostly Mustangs. I pitted lap 6. Had a gap to the Mustang behind.

When I exited pit lane, My lead went from 6 seconds to 2. Back up to 4 and then dropped 1 second per lap. An AMG GT3 just caught up like nothing. Passed me down Conrod. I had nothing for it and I was on fresh tyres! Oh well. Moved up one spot to 7th.

Nurb in a Mustang.

Edit: Set a 7:07.706 in the Mustang. In Time Trial, I did a 7:07.711 in the Atenza. A 7:12.003 in the Cayman(messed up somewhere between the Big Karrussell and the final turns before the straight).

Edit2: 10 TTs, me, RCZ, WRX, 650S, Vantage and an M4.
Edit3: Came out of that one CRB. 9th to 6th.

Wow. Just did my first amd probably only race C this week. Chaos. Started p10, car spins ahead turn 1. Car then crashes in the cutting. Car loses it in the dipper and is actually facing the wrong way! Then someone loses it on the final corner. 1 lap up to p6, no passing.

I let a couple of faster cars through and they proceed to beat the hell out of each other. I get caught in the middle when 1 ghosts, the other waits for them to go back by and I get just in between due to traffic flow. I let them by again and dude promptly spins himself off at hell corner.:indiff:

Cruised home to p7 from there. People seem hell bent on going full flat out with all the risk. Not taking into account cold tires or dirty tires. And this was an A and B lobby. Oh well. Got the SR I needed to top out again and that is it for me. :p
Maaaaaate,

Have had a few discussions with fellow Aussie racers with regard to The Mountain. Like you described, I've seen utter chaos caused by the ultra-aggressive manner in which many Australian drivers race here. It's not a track for risky overtakes over the top, but time after time I've seen the most audacious moves, with distrastrous results.

At night this is even riskier. I reckon it's the average Aussie's way of proving his manhood, like how high up the wall you can pee. It's can iconic Aussie track, and a huge part of masculine identity, I reckon, and there are a bunch of yobs who are just too immature and self-unaware to race decently.

FMD, it'll be a while before I race there again.

Lol so much for resetting my SR down to 1, I spent 3 days doing my best to distroy it and only managed to drop 20 point's, without messing other drivers up I left races smashed about then left stayed at the back and accidently bumped in to others bouncing around the track and at best the most I lost for one race was 3 sr points,
If I didn't want to loose it I would have lost loads lol its almost like the game was conspiring against me, so have given up and I'm back up to 99.
 :D

Probably won't see you on track for the next few days. I'm really terrible at all 3 races. :O
I expect to do a bunch of the A races next week, at Monza. 👍

It’s all about the alt, these days. Shared up a peach from this morning. Great action which died down a bit until a special surprise lap 8 at the end of Mountain straight
On the alt you don’t ever back down.

Been running some laps in the Vette @ the Nurb.. Those 6'55's are insanely fast wth am I missing?? anyway... here's my best so far using onboard view, I can probably tidy it up and take another couple of secs off and target a low 7 mins maybe? but near 8 secs is just not an option :boggled:

Have fun at the Green Hell this week guys!

Why do you assume it's Aussies causing the problem? Typically at the time of day in question, half to three quarters of the field are from various east Asian countries. Aussies aren't all innocent, but neither are they over-represented in the un-skilled, careless, over aggressive or just plain dirty segment of the driving community. @Redneckchef didn't mention any nationalities in his post.

On the NA server the cream of the crop is good racing, but below top 1 percent the alt is just way more fun day to day.
If you get reset it doesn’t matter here because there’s always fast people at lower sr. Plus you can light em up if need be since you’re already reset lol. Got to 2:45 lmao. On c race the DBR is my hammer of Thor. Great fun!

I do 7:15 and know I can gain more time... But finding it is difficult.
I can see at least one place where you can gain though. At 5:50 you brake a lot sooner than I do, I gear down to full speed in 4th as I enter the turn then brake and use 3d to rotate in the curve pointing to second carousel.

Hey thanks mate! I will try that later when I boot it up for some more laps

Used the Megane. Started 5/12. Finished 5/10. 6 TTs. 4 started ahead of me. 1 behind and another down the bottom. Atenza, F-Type, Veyron and WRX(?).

TT ahead of me was being slowed down by the car in 3rd. I caught up and had a nice gap to the TT behind.
4th starts getting a bit shaken up as I'm on its tail. It goes off.

I'm starting to get a gap again, but I get some kerb past the big Karrussell.
TT behind stays with me to the straight. Passed me just before the left kink.
Final turn, I actually got a better exit, squeezed on the left side and some slight track edge, just slowed me before the line. .013!

The identities of the drivers, and their nationalities, are listed when you race them. When I see and Australian flag, I assume they are Australan. When I'm punted by said Australian, I assume ...

And then I see the chaos said Australians cause elsewhere, to other drivers' disadvantage

Interesting day on my alt. Been reset about 5 times racing the Nord from the back. Tough to recover SR. Decided to run race A to get SR and got up to 30. Suprisingly good racing. With the walls, and the penalties, most people don't try to block when you come up behind them with speed. I guess they figured out that you finish the race faster if you don't play bumper cars. Got to C/C, and back to the nord. The blockers there are annoying. My best finish was a 2nd, from 12th. My best race was a 3rd with the CRB and a time of 7:25. Would have got 2nd but he cut across my nose on the straight 3 times and I had to lift. I was a tenth back at the line. Left with 2700 DR and 18 or so SR. Back to the main to try to better my Q while I was warmed up. Put up a 7:09 flat , tried to do better 3 times and couldn't. I know I can knock off a couple of seconds if I can put in a fast lap without error. I think it's time to watch some replays again, since I've been nailing some key, high speed sections, but have others that I blow 4 out of 5 times when I push. I gotta say, I really enjoy this combo.

All right, in total there were 2 Aussies and 2 kiwis in my race, including myself. The rest was a japanese field with an Indonesian. And it was 2 japanese guys I spent 2 laps trying to avoid for chaos.

That said, that is going to be my 1 and only race there this week.

I'm not disputing what you saw, I was just curious how you were inferring that Redneckchef's race issues were caused by a group that is usually in the minority in Asia region servers at the time the post was made. I now see from his subsequent post that you had jumped to an invalid conclusion.

To be fair, you’ve been seeing us talk about alt accounts on the last few pages. Some people make alt accounts under other country flags. So these “dirty Aussies” could be dirty drivers from the other side of the globe.

Also to be fair, not all Aussies are clean and some that intend to be are sufficiently lacking in skill that they seem dirty to other drivers. In this, we are no different to any other country, all of us have our dirty drivers, good drivers and incompetent drivers.

monumental week for me at the Ring, love the track now after hating it for ages.

My targets were:
  • Win Race B
  • get the Gold time on CE (BMW M6) - old time 7.15
  • get a Bronze on a Hanilton challenge (Sauber C9) - old time 6.3x
  • Won race B with the WRX. Got lucky with a very slow PP (7.30). Cars behind smashed each other and gave no challenge - after first few corners gap to second hovered around 3-6 seconds. Cruised home in 7.45. Have finished 10th a few times with that time! Race B is fantastic fun but winning from further back than 6th very hard. I did managed a 9th to 2nd once due to huge pile ups ahead.
  • Joke penalties - people ramming me off the track and getting 2 seconds whilst costing me 10!

  • M6 I was struggling to get below 7 mins (was stuck at 7.10 for a while) then suddenly had a golden race and smashed a 6.56.
  • For Hamilton torture, Sauber is a horrid car to drive IMO, was stuck about 6.25 and managed a 6.12 in the end. Won't even go back for a silver.

Well, I entered six races on Thursday, during the day, and 75% of all fields were Aussies. I was reporting what I saw.

I did not mean to infer that Red's post was invalid. Sorry if my post was interpreted that way. I'm not now going to go back and check my wording, either. Like I've just said, his experience and mine may have been different. I'm just posting my views on what I saw, and others I know have commented similarly.

I'm not going to keep on about this, I think we've now all made ourselves quite clear.

No offence taken, I was just curious :D

Good fun on daily race C, only because I can race on my alt. Had a DR reset, from A/S down to D/E.

Pretty aggressive driving across the board. Wouldn't dare take my main account out there.

Also I really wish they would come up with a strategy that doesn't have faster drivers who are either dirty or had DR resets, put in lower lobbies where they can record easy wins and take opportunities away from lower rank drivers to get wins.

Got up this morning and tried a Q lap at the nord. I knew from my pace in races that I have the speed, but holding it together is another issue. I put up a 7:08 flat, but it could have been a second faster. I got a little loose coming into the 3rd from last corner, and it was all I could do to stay out of the wall coming out. Tiptoed through the second to last corner, on the grass with my outside tires barely hanging on to the curb. I was waiting for the penalty to pop up as I went through the last corner and drove it home. I don't know how much that cost me, but it seemed like forever, yet still my best lap yet. Maybe that 7:05 isn't impossible after all.
Decided to race on my main account (A/S 99) and was gridded 8th, but started 7th when the guy ahead of me (7:06.8) dropped out. Guess he didn't like all the A+ drivers with low Q times. I kind of did. I figured with those times, at least I wouldn't get held up. Made up one position when the guy in front of me went off, but no hope of catching the leaders since nobody made an error or got a penalty. Good run, and still at 99!
