Well, whenever your system finishes whatever it's doing, please believe me about not qualifying. Average finishing position for pole-sitters that I've seen is somewhere around 8-9. People behind you will give you penalties. It's the equivalent of a punt in this race.
If they give you a real solid hit, and you get a time penalty, you are completely screwed. Certain people have already seemed to catch on to that, and use it as a strategy.
Stay behind until you're approaching the final turn. 👍

Not sure there's a winning formula, but what seems to be working is to stay low at the first turn for safety, and go high at the last turn for speed. 👍

Yeah if you qualify you just give yourself the opportunity to be bump drafted on the opening straight while everybody's getting up to speed. It's not worth it.

I tried it once at Monza while rebuilding SR and still got a penalty. Hit pause about 2 seconds after we started and didnt drive until after the first chicane. Still worth a shot .

I tried intermediate tires for Race A and could not tell a difference in speed during the race though the car was a lot more loose when getting knocked around. I don't think it's worth the risk to use intermediates.
Also, for anyone that dropped to an SR of E it doesn't matter how much you bump draft / get bump drafted. Since there is no rank below E, there are no consequences. If anything it is a benefit because it makes the racing more fun.

Re. Race A

when you set your qualifying lap do 2 laps. The second one will be about 2 seconds quicker
The rolling start on lap 1 is not optimised.

I went from 4.57 to 4.55

i tried intermediate tyres and it made no diff to the time

As suspected, doing a Q lap on Race A is like Free K’Speed Bucks, I usually have to beat 1.1% to gain anything.

It hadn't even occurred to me to snag the 15 clean race bonus. Probably because I didn't get excited about tanking my DR.

Just finished in P3 behind a 4C and an AMG that started on hards and no-stopped - 4C was 11 seconds ahead of P2!

What's that worth? +20 seconds or +1:00.000?

After attempting and winning one Race C my SR went from 1 to 54 without a clean race bonus. Now to attempt and probably get penalized for being bump drafted and lose one Race A and have my SR go back to 1.

Man, it’s so hard for me to consider A after recovering 99 and maintaining it over the weekend on the alt. That was 2 plus hours of torture. I’m a masochist but even folks like me have limits...
I love Brands. It’s one of the best tracks in game imo.

SR gains on race A are minute. Not worth it to build SR. Started as DR C/SR A. Only losing about 150-200 DR each race. Not sure how quick higher DR lobbies will respond.

i did 2 runs at brands. pretty fun. second race i got 3rd starting from the back taking 2 places on the 2nd last corner.

gonna try race A now. did 1 race B earlier too and it was a fun combo.

Ive done 4 A races so far and I'm at 99. I don't bump, and have only been bumped once...from the back, anyway. Somehow the leaders aways get away, except that first race when I started 7th. Been 11th and 12th for the others, finished 5th-7th. I might qualify...
