Race B could use 1 more lap. It’s still fun though with the grid start there.
Funny that I despise Monza yet love a grid start on Nurb GP.
Race 1 got pinballed penalized 99 to A recovered to third from pole...
Race 2 C race B M W CRB from no qual finished third with 14 spots gained. I went S to M but seems like from say 3-10 or 12 on grid you’d wanna go m to s. The TT is very strong in race given that EVERYONE is forced to stop. Is the TT meta every single track in gr4 or is it just that everyone’s a follower of whatever the aliens decide to use for top ten?
No TT for me. I may run Megane though just to be a rolling roadblock lol...Anyways 1 CRB back to 99. THATS WHAT I LOVE!
Race 3 B race A 99...Grid 3, up into second lap one. Coming into the chicane I hesitated to go defensive since I had .7 on the guy behind. Bad on me for not taking my own advice, should have gone full defensive because he dove and went full stop almost for a ridiculous block pass entering the chicane. I saw it coming and waited for him to make a fool of himself-I was gonna just pass him on exit but the guy behind me apparently was oblivious to what was going on and just drove like he was alone, t boned me lol SMH.
I saved it and carried on ended up 4th.
At least he apologized after, hey no worries sir it happens.
The real idiot was named licensedtobsick or some such, anyhow you race him better just block him out totally at all times he has no idea what he’s doing.
Fun races imo this week, good variety. I gotta get around to trying A race...
Good luck out there, Try to defend rather than get wrecked and revenge. I’m tryin to stay cool this week...There’s been too much fighting on the dance floor lately, don’t want the S rooms to become ghost towns...

Edit still 99. As much as I whine about the system, it’s by far the best place to be, you can absorb a pen or sr down without falling into the nightmare that is B sr where it’s an apocalypse.

The speed you carry through the first hairpin is ridiculous.

This week, both RaceB and C look good. Loved the 997 GT3 a few weeks ago and it seems several cars are competitive at brands. Only issue I have is I like to no-pit at Brands to gain places as you avoid traffic and just circulate alone but you're gonna have to race given the tyre needs.
Saw a guy disappear into the distance at Brands - his fastest lap was 3.5 secs quicker than mine! He 2 stopped, never losing the lead, and was 20 seconds ahead of P2 - until his 1 minute penalty for not using medium tyres was applied

He finished up 12th.

I am loving the B race this week. I was having a little trouble adjusting to the tires, they are a little too hard for my liking but once I adjusted they work fine.
So, I took another advice from you. I set my abs to weak.
I didn't get to set a new Q time in the few laps, because I accidentally got a track penalty.
I started as P2, that's better than pole because you are on the inside. Unfortunately I botched the start a little so was p3 coming in to T1.
Then I see P1 and P2 take the curved line into T3 so try and sneak inside but we tapped at the apex. I gave the spot back.
At Bit-Kurve I didn't expect P 1 to overslow at turn in solid I wasn't going to send him off I had to turn even more in. We touched.
It might be a borderline pass, it might even had been dirty but I took it and kept the lead, opened up a gap and won.
Car is on a slight slide all the time.
Replay is shared public on my profile Resident_Knievel and I am on controller. Feel free to watch.

I've seen a few of these today, can't believe people still do this. One driver had been 2nd, they finished 2nd last of all the cars that finished, the only car behind them was another with a 1 minute penalty.

A load of the Audi drivers can't actually drive the car so they hit everything, especially if you are in a Trophy like I was, it's too easy for them to dive at you and of course I got the penalty most of the time, even when one of them knocked me off the track, it said I forced a car off the track, it was me off the track.

I think in another year or two of online racing that maybe 95 percent of average racers will evolve beyond their current thinking. I’d say overall the playerbase average skill has improved over a year ago.
The big thing a lot of people need to get over is this belief that no matter the track no matter the car no matter the braking zone, “I can outbrake anyone by 50 meters or more anytime I want”
It’s like they believe that in between turns their 911 was magically equipped with the brakes off of Vettels F1 car.
It’s a strange psychosis. “I know it takes me 175 meters to slow down every practice lap, but THIS, this is the RACE! In race I can stop from 75 meters”
“In race I can stop faster In race I can stop faster In race I can stop faster”

I've been wondering the same. With all of the choices in GR4, these have turned into "almost one make races". I tend to just run whatever I enjoy driving. I wonder what would happen if those top10 times only listed your PSN, Country and time, but did not list the car you achieved that time in???

He finished up 12th.

I bet he only made that mistake once.

Also, check out the sweet cone jump pass at turn 2.

And it was by our favorite blocker. He had that orange TT that looked like the General Lee where he picked up so much penalty time that he fell to 13th in a C race at St. Croix.

I remembered the name when I saw it before the race. I was sure that one of my friends had a problem with him, and I should probably punt him.
Was it you? I'll take care of it, next time I see him. I'm at 99, so it doesn't make any difference to me. :mischievous:

Two months ago he was very quick at Brands Hatch in Gr 3. I watched him no-stop and win from midpack with almost zero tire wear. When he is not being a di ck he can race.

So for race B where does everyone start breaking for turn 1? Immediately after exiting the last turn or just slightly after exiting the last turn?

I get that they are on "sport hard" tires...but it shouldn't be like hitting black ice every time you touch the brakes. My 80 Celica had a better 60-0 time...in the snow..with the "functioning" brakes on 3 of 4 wheels.

1 lap medium, 2 x 6 laps soft?
Might not be the fastest but will be fun..

Especially if you start down the field you lose so much time on the first lap that the medium speed loss is almost free.

For turn 1 you gotta get the initial bite on the last semi uphill part of the track before the downslope. There’s a kind of “cliff” there if you go too deep on braking in any vehicle you won’t make the turn.

All...It was great to see Erickgtr on pole in the one b race I entered tonight. Of course I was on alt and hadn’t warmed up...
I was starting third. I got a good jump tucking in behind second but fourth had other ideas since he failed to tuck in line he just well...

Kinda came on through...

So then I got jostled in the chicane entry by a Brazilian...I swear if I went to Iceland and found a bar with a vintage arcade Joust machine that took Icelandic quarters there would be a Brazilian there with several friends and hours of quarters stacked up so I’d never get a turn...lol
I ended up almost catching the yellow car after orange sailed through turn one and ended up maybe on the Nordshleife he broke so late trying to outbrake yellow...
“His name is Robert Paulson”
Anyways no penalties held third, saw famous guy in race...I just wish orange knew how to control his car...I wanted to see about keeping GTR honest...At least apply pressure...Oh well, still 99...
There was another famous guy in there he started last ended fourth I think..
Seems every time I get in a race with GTR I always get taken out and never can get close...
Oh well good times...You never know who you might see in game at 99...
Neat

Edit think IMa change my greeting to “His name is Robert Paulson”
Lol it’s pretty funny when you realize the brain damage these people have to continually believe that mid race Vettels F1 brakes magically got installed and just by racing and wanting to pass it cuts the braking distance by 75 percent lololol ITS BRAIN DAMAGE IM TELLIN YA!!!
His name is Robert Paulson
Lmao

Oof. Made some slip sliding mistakes. Started the first race on RS. Went off grabbing curb on my left rear. Ran last. Pitted for RM on LAp 4. Pitted again on Lap 8 for RS. Moved up due to cars spinning and people tapping others off.

This next one, a 458 kept blocking everyone. Just ridiculous. Once I got ahead of it, I had to keep on the inside lines as this player was being stupid. I saw the carnage behind me as it took some cars out heading onto the straight. Watched a 2 second gap, swell to the 8 second gap in the race result.

Second place went off mid-corner T1. P4 went up the inside of me. P1 didn't pull away. So, gave me and P2, time to catch up. I dispatched P2 before the 130R. Set FL on Lap 2 & Lap 3, finishing .8 seconds behind P1. Love this car.

Either we get to do another Nations N300(ran the Crown in that one) or we get the Crown RS race car(my avatar). I needs it.

Getting back to normal in race C. Ran a qually lap in the TT and decided to try it in the race. Ugh. Slightly off entering Dingle Dell from.making a pass on the exit of Hawthorne. The person following me through decides to.launch it up my inside as the track has that right bend you straighten out. Thought I was clear, but they were just there. Off to the sand and from p3 to p15. Drive back to p9 and a car unghosts right as we enter turn 1 as he exits the pits. I left room, but they just understeer enough wide to get me.the curb glitch. Back.to p16 of 17 now. Ugh. But drove mostly ok outside of that. Mostly just need to smooth surtees and should be ok. Going back to my Trophy though. That TT is horrible after 3 laps.

Update: race with the Trophy went ok. Got barged off wide a couple times the first laps, even while on the apex already, but came home for an ok finish. Then tried the jag. Warmup went ok with a couple practice laps. In the race I went a touch wide at Sheene on lap 3, then 4, then got tapped off at turn 1 on lap 5, then on lap 6. Now dead last by over 8 seconds I quit my first race in well over a year. Screw that. I have had bad driving races, but that was the worst for a long long time. Ugh, just trying to be smooth but still pushed too much.

I'm running the Cayman from the back, 5M/8S. Overtaking TT drivers on mediums in the latter stages is like stealing candy from a kid - they have no apex and exit speed.
Do people really enjoy driving these :censored:boxes?

I tried to drive one and the answer is a resounding no from me. I would rather have a slower car I know than that thing. I just could not adjust to it properly.

Yes it was the same yesterday for me in the Trophy (mostly), some still tried to block and stuff and some were very slow and I accidently brushed them on the way by so got penalties. It did feel odd too passing in all the usual non-passing places because you can't pass any car on the straights in the Trophy even with a massive run.

Will try the Cayman today I think, maybe another car too, really don't fancy driving any of the FF cars. :yuck:
