Good race, well held, wouldn't chalk those incidents up as anything more than what's normal for GTS racing incidents. Not the ideal corner to pass at but if someone gets on your inside it's best to concede than risk getting run wide in a incident. You were more than fair with the last lap incident imo, can't just disappear.

Congrats for your new daughter!
I agree with NSP not best place to try and overtake. I was racing at the same time with some of the same folks somehow I was not in that race must have been watching end of the Raider game. I had one issue also with the guy in second trying to overtake at some risky spots as well then blaming me. But all and all had a good weekend at brands crept back into A+ territory lets see how long i can stay??

Start practicing with Megane if you’re gonna do b race. Abs default tcs3.
I’m warning everyone now. It’s already at low 11 on the leaderboard in NA.
My sorry butt almost got into elevens at tcs3. That’s not optimal.
Megane Megane Megane.
(Put a livery on it or you’re dirty)
This ones a qualifying contest to utter bloodbath. The Megane is king of the mountain.
In race it’s impossible to beat if driven well.

what brake balance you running on it..?

also where you like me on Sunday with the Raiders going from mad and I cant believe they are going to lose to happy and I can't believe they won

Well just did a race A, should have won as I got into the lead and had a 2s advantage at one point. Fell asleep at the wheel so they caught up, but the "winner" shoves me off the road and get's no penalty, and it was hard off he was hardly on the track it just makes the whole thing pointless. So race A is who can shove hardest, race B is just beyond my skill level so I'll be doing C's again this week.

Nice W. I used 0. My replays shared up search tpc it was top ten on NA but it won’t hold at only 12.1
Tcs3 default abs. Mostly I use weak abs but not here. Too bumpy too easy to lockup.

Any suggestions for a car to do C without a tyre change? Only really tried the Mustang and pretty sure I was faster with the stop and would have lost places if the people behind hadn't been fighting when I didn't stop.

Beetle will probably be the popular choice for the no stop, which looks to be the fastest if you can manage the tire wear. Other good choices imo, atenza, WRX, AMG, 911. Anything good on traction with decent tire wear.

THis is from the last time we did group 4 at the mountain, forgot how annoying that penalty was, I gave him a ton of room for 2 laps (or more to the point backed out of moves) and when i do make a pass I hang way left through the right hander then hug the apex through the left and he still earns me a penalty. Unbelievable, should have won that race.

Thanks, had just tried the Beetle and it was never going to last for me. I'm a bit heavy on tires so I'm probably better just using the fastest car and pitting.

Race B really has been good fun this week. Managed to just break into the 2:14s aswell which is amazing. Not sure on next week, race B would be good if it wasn’t ff dominated and race C could be a struggle/carnage with 10x wear but we shall see.

Ran a race today and had only 3 FFs in the race. Vipers & Vettes kick butt and took the top 7-8 positions. I am going to run more since I see to have enjoyed today's race. Good Luck and let me know how "C" goes for you.

What a odd race ending, must have been exciting to actually participate in.

That's what I'm saying. People investing too much in the FF. RWD will take it to them. I didn't do all those races for nothing and I'm not one of the fast players. Get it in!:gtpflag:

3,2,1... Somehow I shifted from 1st into 3rd right off the line, didn't notice. Then got stuck behind someone that swerved from his racing line and block mine every time I was about to pass for 4 or 5 laps. It was still a nice race A day.

Was quite pleased to see Mount Panorama was back up, 1 or 2 laps too short, but nevermind, it's one of my better tracks.
Went with my usual plan of slow QT beginning of week to gauge opposition then increase QT.
1st 2 races went well, moved up a few places & maintained SR, thought 1 more then increase QT, wrong decision, dropped to 70 SR after a nightmare race, it did involve destroying an exceptionally dirty driver tho
Back to Ace Combat 7, at least I can take the buggers out with a homing missile, or a bit of chain gun action

The beetle does hold onto its tires well later into race C. It's stable and has good traction but I'm still getting used to the handling a bit. The right hander after the t1 hairpin is the toughest corner in this car for me as it is a lot of cars but im just understeering a lot there with this thing for some reason. Left BB at -1 all race maybe I'll move it to 0 and experiment a bit.

No stop is the way for race C unfortunately, kind of disappointed with the lack of strategy this week. My best result has been p2 so far and have started from the front two rows only, qualified best with the beetle and posted a 1.21.997 I still think I can put a better lap together and probably will find a few more tenths this week. The WRX feels nice around here for quali but I'm not sure its tires will last well for the no stop. I see guys are now posting 1.20.9s in the rs01, not a fan of that car so I'll probably stick with what I like for now.

I've been saying that if you like the Mustang, you'll love the Viper. If you've not driven it often, take a few laps to get acclimated to the handling. It can be a little wilder than the Mustang, but once you get used to it, tire wear is better. Maybe not good enough to no-stop with that 10x multiplier, but a little faster per lap & you might have traction to pass a few no-stoppers.

This week I shall classify it as Destruction Derby week, and avoid it like the plague.

When I saw the list go up, I knew it would be a week off for me.

You have more speed in the beetle than I have pulled out, but I do often gain on those 2 rights after the first hairpin. For that first on I leave it in 3rd gear, dab the brakes and turn in at the marker BEFORE the change in ground on the left. Then you have to coast until you just clear the sausage. With BB +2 I can fly that way and save tires a bit. My biggest trouble in the yeetle is the squirrely tires on the rear on the final turn last 2 laps. Otherwise I cruised a little and passed people as their tires were dead by lap 9.

I love a good econobox race! Race A was a lot of fun tonight. After @sturk0167 suggested that a top-3 grid position would require a 52.7 QT, I went out and put one of those in, and sure enough, was good enough to typically start 2nd on the low-A high B grids I was drawing (along with @BenRod too).

Scrapped my way to a second win in four races, after this guy tried to block me too late. Kept my foot in it when he tried to get cute, and held off 3rd and 4th place for the win. He complained a sarcastic 'thanks' in the post race chat, but all I did was hold my line, after I gave him room for two of his Mazdas on the outside of the turn exit. He was toast by that point, anyway, as I was going to be able out brake him in the last turn, and the TrueBrake mod is great for blending a rear-bias FF car so you trail brake oversteer and mash the torquey diesel for a tight turn and neutralized diff... great exit speed on the crucial last turn.

Nice 3000 DR bump for four races, nearly getting me back to my all-time high again after a rough FIA Season 1... I do like the econobox races... whatever I do right in the game, seems to work best for these type of races!

Might give it a go later in the week on the Alt, but was feeling good about the main account tonight and glad I raced.

Another week for the 'lets drive the car on the top 10 list' players.
Another week I do not drive any FWD car. Just because 70/80% of the cattle goes with it. Therefore I go with all RWD (loop choice).

These kind of races should have tire wear to balance the speed of the FWD (as last week).

Anyway, it is what it is... Would like to know who choses the week races. Almost the same cars and tracks combos.
Lack of ideas, or lack of brain?

Race B is really good fun and a lot cleaner than I expected. Seems a lot of people want to have a good race but just beware plenty of mistakes will happen just with the nature of the course. For those not wanting to run FF’s the Viper is in top 10 and the Lexus and McLaren I’ve raced in the 2:12s. The Lexus is handy over the mountain but slow as hell. The McLaren is solid in the slip and pulls back the FF’s in 7th gear but is slower 3rd-5th. Everyone is using the rcz but I think the megane is fastest.

Lost my SR S in a good lobby at race C, was too eager behind the slower big iron of a viper and vantage. They drove well and fair, I was tapping them on acceleration out of some corners I guess and it gave me a few penalties and dropped my SR. The contact literally changed nothing in the race and no one had an issue as I wasn't punting people on the brakes pretty much just a bump draft. Anyways came p7 that race it was a quick lobby at the front. Got relegated to SR A and have cleaned up two wins from the front. Best total time yet 18:14. See if I'm back in top split again lol

Edit: made it back to top split after two wins but just disconnected from my lobby:grumpy:

Pace on race B was ludicrous when I entered just now. Started third, immediately lost slipstream up Mountain Strait. I had a Jag that overtook fourth lap 1 chasing, pushing the car. Lap 2 he closed in a bit exiting the chase at .5-.7 back. I pulled a .9 barely up Mountain Straight, but he closed slightly before the dipper. I smooooothed it best I could had .6 or so approaching Forests Elbow last lap but he tried to follow my Megane line, looking on replay...The huge advantage to Megane there is you can enter tight on a later brake then other cars, but still get a big drive down Conrod. The brakes on it are second to none, combine that with tremendous acceleration it’s the car, jmo. Also I HATED this car for months on Bathurst finally one day I just decided to spend time in it and improve. Last time we had this race it could walk cars that got a better exit and had slip... The Jag Viper vette etc like to run wide at Forrest Elbow but Megane you attack. Luckily I did that pulled 1.1 down Conrod race over stayed third. Low 12’s required for first or second.
I ran 2 12.9 no draft. The Jag ran a 12.7 but then last lap lost pace with a mistake at Forests elbow. You need low 12 pace at A. I think this track is fabulous to race. Thing is if you enter you BETTER BE READY TO RUN and not make mistakes.
Mistakes here can be catastrophic to SR...
I may be one and done, this week on dailies. I don’t know Laguna Seca well and it’s looking like my Pano pace isn’t there...I always have trouble lap one turn 1 also seems like so many guys get a jump on me there lap 1 it’s always like that dunno...hard when you lose slipstream six seconds in...
I will say the grip on B this time felt outstanding. Really nice feelings in the ffb. All the cars I drove felt very surefooted.
Good luck folks.

Had a funny grid this afternoon on Race A. 6 Canadians or something. 1 American flag. Someone said "holy Canadians" there were so many.

2nd last turn on Miyabi I got passed by 3 green flags at once. I didn't slow down or anything, they made room. Like when that extra car tucks into the back of the line before the light turns red. Kind of impressive really. Made me laugh.

I was there (@boitcon)! Half Canadian, half Brazilian grid.

The race was fun for me, but I noticed you getting rammed in the background.

Race A was mostly a lot of fun tonight, but the hairpin (and only breaking spot) is getting increasingly dangerous. With the large runoff, it easily turns into ramming paradise for those who enjoy that craft.
