Funny how the TTs starting on RS, gets negated when I run long on the RM. However, had I stopped when the 86 pitted, I would be up there. I ran with the back half TTs and they all made a dash for pits lap 7. I went one more lap.

I tried to qualify in the Scirocco, but I just cut better times in the Viper, Supra, & 86. My brain is in tune with the FR crs. I thought that I was begging for trouble in racing the 86. But, it handled damn good, it just had much less acceleration. My "ah ha" moment was watching me sail it into Hawthorne & catch other drivers, even if they didn't mess up that corner either. In the last race I did, I just killed in that corner & got people nervous. As for the TT cup, I watched one driver start ahead of me & pit 3 times IIRC. He pitted at the start of lap 12 & handed me the 3rd place. He was catching me, but didn't have the time to pass. I ran the 86 on a 8M/5S strategy & it worked for me.

Good morning friends,

I was able to take victories this morning in both m4 and Mustang. The M4 was defending the whole race. I never pulled a gap from pole. In both Stang wins I got away.
In my fastest first stint I didn’t break slipstream and instead of putting off soft lap seven with a .6 lead, I stayed out lap 8 and lost the lead exiting pits by 1.5 and was unable to pressure. Finished second.
Fun c race but I’m done.

Yep, I'm all about Bathurst now. It'll be about Conrod. So, the Megane and I guess The British Bulldogs, will be the only three to take to the RCZ. Supra has awesome top end(around 280kmh), but it doesn't have the acceleration.

Well, that's my prediction.

well I got yet another DR reset down to 40k trying to race from the back yesterday after I was one and done in FIA. My original intent was to just stay clean and get my SR back up in the 90's after dropping down to 84 in the FIA race. I didn't even have any major incidents, just minor taps from behind when people were changing lines under braking or coming to a near stop on the apex unexpectedly. One guy completely sent it on me into T2 at Brands, and before the braking zone he was 3 cars back! SR down for me again. I was just trying to follow closely and be patient....a few taps and a couple divebombs later and I'm at SR-B and lost 12,000 DR. I managed to get back up to 99SR but my DR is still hurting so I'll probably do some grinding at Laguna Seca this week in Gr.3, one of my favorite combos.

also....holy moly, 10X tire wear for 13 laps at Laguna? Pit stop is pretty long here so I'm guessing a no-stop is the way to go....but I dunno, can the tires even last that long at 10X? I guess it'll be time to bust out the Yeetle or the FT-1 or Atenza...not sure what other cars are good on tires and handling. Maybe the Lancer or Subaru too.

The GR.3 4C any good?

I don't have any experience with it myself, but I've heard it's pretty terrible. Like, you'd expect it to excel at something and maybe perform similarly to the Gr.4....but it's bad in a straight line and not great on tires as it should be for a "handling" car. I've really only ever seen aliens get good results with it, but only when racing against lesser aliens or non-aliens.

That's a shame. Well, I've got Mustang fever. So, going with that and the British Bulldogs this week. Might throw in the Megane FF and RS01(should be pretty good at Laguna) to be different.

Veyron should be speedy at Bathurst. No?
The FFs run out of steam just before the kink on Conrod. GT-R may have a shot to hang with the British Bulldogs and I think the Atenza has good speed, but from Skyline to Forest's Elbow, is the main problem when fighting the FFs.

I think the RC F should be okay. Guess I'll go with V8s.

Vantage
Corvette
458(I remember this being good in Race C)
Mustang
F-Type
RC F
650S
SLS(it'll be slow as mollases)

I thought I remembered the WRX going well at Laguna a while ago, was a pretty popular choice if I recall correctly, not sure if thats the same now.
The GR.3 4C any good?

FWIW, (https://gtsport.r1s3.net/laprecords/83/13) shows the best laps at Laguna Seca since June 17th, 2020, the date of the last BoP adjustment (you need to fill in the date manually if you visit the form). It shows a wide range of cars amongst the top 25 or so.

Amongst the fast laps, there is a WRX and a Beetle but no 4C and no Genesis.

Sorry for the poor formatting.

Figured the R8 would be up there. I know the RC F is good. Used that all the time. RS01 is up there too.

Starting with the SLS. Reverse alphabetical order.

Edit2: Finished where I started. Couldn't pull away from the Slophy. SLS is slow(like I said). Again, I'm too nice. GAve the Slophy too much room when it went up my inside at The Cutting. Lost time and the Megane caught up. Anyway, the Slophy was getting too wild and binned it at The Dipper.

Use your FFs all y'all want. They're just trouble. They all tap out on the straights and corner exit speed is nil. I was able to keep up with the RCZ in a daggone 650S. A car I don't use. Heading up mMountain Straight, I got a run on one and side by side, it only just started to pull ahead by the SuperCharge sign. By the end, all those FFs were in each other's way.
EonmM6NUcAAkSQR

Edit: RC F up next. Going quicker with each next car. Nice max speed.

Hmm.

Oh well. Harrassed that 7th placed TT all race. Thought it could get away, but the RC F has plenty tricks up its sleeve. It kept weaving for the last two laps. People need to stop that stuff. ANyway, it weaves down Conrod. I'm locked on the left side of the track since it wants to block the right. Brake for the Chase and I was good. but got a love tap and off to the grass for a moment. JUmp back on track collide with the TT. I get the end resulting 3 seconds. Was ahead of the JAg and I pulled over until the TT crossed the line.

F-Type is wicked on the straights.
EontLxNU0AIZ0OF

Edit: Oh yes. It's fast. RCZ in 4th gave up trying to block. Plus, it had a bad connection.
Once I was released, set FL on the next lap no slipstream.

Went quicker in the Mustang, but messed up my lap.

That TT in 5th kept blocking and took itself out by being too twitchy. Mustang is a weapon across the top.

Race A is on Miyabi. It's been quite some time since we've had that track. I just don't get what's the matter with letting us use whichever car we want, even if it ends up turning into one make event anyway. Just let people have some fun PD!

Anyway, the Demio is dominating the leaderboard in these early stages. Therefore there was no way I would use it. I went with the Swift and didn't really notice a big difference in performance. Started 9th and finished 2nd 👍 However you'll notice quite a bit of dirty action going on.

Other than the one fool, I'm happy with all eight races. Got some good replays to watch.

Biggest surprise. This thing is awesome. I set the BB to -2. No MR sliiiide with either MR. The biggest surprise was the gap I was pulling on the straights.

It's stable. Fast. Easy to use.

Not as smooth as the F-Type. As at Brands HAtch last week, I'm still not confident with its braking abilities.

Couldn't best my qualy time set in the F-Type. Mustang was the closest to topping it(as per my mistake). I'd scratch the SLS and 650S in this combo. I pick F-TYpe if you want to win. Everything else will take it to the FFs. No Fear.

Race C is a simple no-stop. You will probably want to qualify in something like the Audi R8 or the Renault RS01, but in the race you will probably want something a bit more stable. I think the Beetle will probably be the best for the race with things like the Subaru, Mitsubishi, Mazda and FT1 all decent choices. Anything that handles ok and is kind on your tyres.

Pretty much impossible to overtake unless the driver ahead makes a big mistake, so this is just qualify well and don't crash. I've done a 1:21.6 in quali (Beetle) so would imagine the best drivers will be looking at mid 1:20's.

Tire management is going to be huge in race C
Tires definitely get grumpy around lap 9. But pits are like 20 seconds so.you just hang on.
Yeah i hadn't done a pit here and it was better on GT4 (or I'm just getting old) so I pitted and it dropped me way back. Managed to get 7th in a tricky one for me (I was fairly low) didn't do any great laps, but only went off once when some idiot putted me even though I was over letting him through.:banghead:

Tried race B too and I really suck at that. 4WD cars are too slow and I can't get the rhythm right for the corners in FFs. Going to practice that a bit, but probably won't do too many as I was to be B for Xmas. I could easily get to B, but I mean being solid B where I don't drop out because of 1 or 2 bad races.
