Hells corner and Forest Elbow the Meganes a champ. Jmo.
Forest Elbow it can brake mid track even on inside LATE on entry and STILL rocket out.
The only way to equal it in any fr is inducing a touch of oversteer under brakes then catch it with throttle while apex if perfect! It’s DOFFICULT.
With Megane you just plow in 100% brake turn full rocket out uncatchable.
Serious it’s jmo.
Also Megane takes practice to get used to but once you start to get it at least in my case it’s 1.5 seconds faster per lap than everything and easier than anything to operate...

Every time we’ve had this combo I’ve dedicated myself to defeating Megane...
I couldn’t do it.
It’s the best at Forrest Elbow waaaay better than any rwd. It’s got the best brakes best acceleration it’s the best racecar by a lot.

Believe me I’ve been through trying my damndest fightin it but finally I had to join the Megane team. I’m glad I did. It outbrakes everything by 25 meters, the block pass works cuz you can out drag every car. It’s fwd so it’s hard to knock around.
Most cars even in draft can’t catch it-my advice is use it or suffer frustration :)
It’s the late brake point and shoot dream car for that track. Honestly wish they dq it and the other ff from this race but they won’t so when in rome...

I guess I will give it a try I have a decent qualy time in the TT ....11.7 so should be able to beat it in the Megane Right?? i guess i will find out tonight. I also have stayed away from it because that's all anybody used for GR4 when i first started playing but now its the TT so go figure
 
It's my Megane night tonight, will see how i go in race trim so to speak. One thing the Jag does well is the start, it is in exactly the right rev range and just absolutely launches once the lights go out.
 
Well last night race 1 tt was 1-2 a plus a 3rd place was a plus Megane and won it.
I dunno if TT got a BOP enhancement after last time this combo was a daily...
On NA gr4 no tire wear it’s always been one make Megane in the past.
Believe I have suffered more trying to beat that car on this combo than any other time in game...
Fr struggles too much at Forest Elbow. Can’t late brake can’t put accelerate.
Most fr last time we had this it was stupid at forest elbow the Megane could hit the outer wall and you could have the run in draft and the gd thing would still walk away.
It was so OP it was stupid which is why I switched.

No the Megane was neutered a bit on the last update a good while ago so the RCZ and TT have come to the fore.
 
Shared a replay for race C, search tag 525. Went nose to tail within a second of another guy all race, was absolutely awesome.
 
Jumped in to a race B on my NA Alt to stream snipe Tidgney. Went fine-ish. The TTs kept bouncing off the walls and I still have no idea when to get on the gas in Hell corner. Was good to see @Qyn up near the front pushing the pace. I suck there, but it wasn't the carnage fest I was expecting. SR took a massive hit though as I forgot how early the TT needs to brake as well, and following in the Megane I was a little too late on it.

Have fun there guys, I'm out of that one for the week.

Yeah Mugane is fast, got my qualy down to a 12.9 and within 1.5pc of first which is well inside my marker if 2pc.

Tough night with guys in front of me seemingly reducing to pick a line. Makes it so hard to race and I despise that penalty at the dipper, it isn1.5 sec but costs you a solid 3 seconds. Brutal.

Okay, so I jumped in the TT Cup. What a boring car. Dropped my time in the 12s. 11s are doabl, but it's so boring. The Megane and Scirocket have virtual life in them.

Edit: Dang. Ran the Atenza in Race B. Two penalties and I'm down to A/A. Freakin' slow RCZ. From the Cutting to Forest Elbow, that car is a turtle.
Got into trouble due to the hold up at T1. TT catches up in my slip up Mountain STraight. CArs ahead are light braking. I'm on the outside. Get pushed into the barriers and 1 second for me. Next lap, the RCZ is slow, well all FFs are slow mid-corner and corner exit on acceleration, I'm tailgrabbing it across the top. It lags.
On the final lap, it lags again and I get 1.5 seconds for contact. RCZ didn't go off track or anything. All that, to fall from P6 to P12.

Next combo please...

Good race! The first punt I can see but have a question about what you are calling the second one . . . the red 2 took an inside line down the straight (which in my opinion is not too good for THAT corner) and grey 1 turned in on him at the corner (to me red 2's corner was a very tight turn riding the curbstones) so grey 1 hit and then turned out to try not to connect causing him to go wide . . . I am not seeing the punt. To me it was more of a odd dive bomb, am I not understanding something?

Nice pass for you to take first from red 1 but it sort of looks like the same move discussed above.

I have been practicing for this race and going to jump in and try a few because it looks fun (just like the upcoming Nation's Integra race this Saturday).

Thought the A combo was interesting this week, but after 3 late night races I've realized I shouldn't be attempting to race at this time of night because the race is only occupied by people who don't know how to race.

I only need 9 wins and 2 poles for the platinum, figured I'd knock that out easily but nope.

I actually remember the combo from 2 years ago (except it didn't have chicanes) when it was my first week on the game and I grinded it like crazy to get A. The car was the 86 GRMN so I wouldn't be surprised if they recycle that, but the Yaris seems more likely.

Last night I was in a N300 race on La Sarthe... Let me just say that the braking zone to the first chicane was... Interesting..

I can never remember which Tokyo Expressway loop is which.

Is the East loop the one with the tight hairpin then the never-ending straight (or vice versa)?

Not sure why I'm asking, guaranteed to get a 1.5 sec barrier collision penalty every lap anyway

So A looks interesting, but can't see me doing many. B could be good and I like Fuji, but haven't done much in any GR.2 cars. IIRK I only have 1 GR2 and I don't like it much, any suggestions for something easy for someone as useless as me?

I believe it is the 2016 Nissan GT-R Gr2 car that gets used the most, always seems to be relatively stable for me compared to the 2016 NSX

I think easiest GR2 to drive on this game is the “Lexus Toms ...? The newer Lexus 17’ ? I believe there’s only 5 GR2 vehicles to choose from. Hope that half ass answer helps.

Probably the SF (but one make) at Suzuka and the Gr4 FF cars at Autopolis. You know, stuff that has absolutely not been selected multiple times before. :mischievous::lol:


It's a shame that some tracks aren't used in the rotations more often. :gtpflag:
