Yeah Mugane is fast, got my qualy down to a 12.9 and within 1.5pc of first which is well inside my marker if 2pc.

Tough night with guys in front of me seemingly reducing to pick a line. Makes it so hard to race and I despise that penalty at the dipper, it isn1.5 sec but costs you a solid 3 seconds. Brutal.
I can't get on with mengane best I could get is a 12.5 or 7 something like that I am m faster in TT. Did use the megane for 1 race started 2nd finished 2nd behind a JAG

No successes in Megane wow.
I can’t touch the times in race I get in it with anything.
The vette Hyundai Mcclaren Cayman all drive great for me, they are just slow.
Vette time was best of those for me at 12.7 quali. In race in Megane with no draft I hit below that...I do run tcs3 on Megane though which helps a lot in turns...
I may be an outlier though because I won at Autopolis and podium each time in Megane...No one used it there either or Sardegna I used it there also...

Race A is a fun setup but too much disrespect and pushing on display for me to bother anymore and this was in A/A+ SR 99 lobbies. When you can shove someone out the way at the final turn or force someone onto the grass through the chicane without a penalty or consequence, the game loses all integrity.

Fuji Group 2, what wild combinations will they think of next?

Autopolis Group 2. It usually follows after Suzuka and Fuji. :banghead:

i didnt give it enough time perhaps only ran about 6 or 7 laps then jumped in the race. its not that is was bad just a little to pushy for me and the guy in the jag was fast... been driven the TT for 2 weeks now so i guess i am just used to it

That's a brutal list for next week, I will try race B but I hate Tokyo.

GT7 sorely needs to whittle down the cars and spend more money on proper race tracks. Too many in GTS are either awkward (Laguna seca/Alsace) or lined with walls (Tokyo/sardegna/St Croix) or suffer from pink floydism, too much senseless noodling (Fuji/Autopolis).

We need Donnington, Road America, Hockenheim, Oulton Park, Imola, Malaysia ... so many brilliant tracks and we are left with a ton of just joyless events.

PD at least throwing out a wild card next week.
Race A: Le Sarthe, N300, 1 lap
Race B: Tokyo East Inner Loop, Gr3, 4 laps
Race C: Fuji, Gr2, 13 laps. RM tires
For race B, people better choose a good top speed car.
Last time I tested Gr.3 speeds, these were top 3: Mclaren F1, Pug VGT, Ford GT
That was May 2019. I assume bop has changed once or twice.

Suspect the 911 RSR with it's long top gear will wind up well in the draft and be a good race car at Tokyo. Not so great on it's own or in the lead, but behind a tow, with great brakes... a good weapon at a track like that.

I believe it is the 2016 Nissan GT-R Gr2 car that gets used the most, always seems to be relatively stable for me compared to the 2016 NSX

I think easiest GR2 to drive on this game is the “Lexus Toms ...? The newer Lexus 17’ ? I believe there’s only 5 GR2 vehicles to choose from. Hope that half ass answer helps.
Cheers folks got the Lexus and tried it in the pro league and it felt great. Might pick up the Nissan to try it too, actually might just get all 5.

I always liked sears point(infinoen) in the old GT's, Daytona road course, How about Circuit of the Americas, watkins glen I always thought those would be good as well. I like fuji but hate Autopolis . What ever happen to BLUE MOON BAY ROAD COURSE always thought that was a good race ???

ANY votes to bring back midfield raceway LOL......

This is Custom Race N300 12 cars. There are also the Mitsubishi GTO to consider and the other GT-Rs as mentioned.

I get your point. I like running the Formula 1 circuits, even though they aren't especially better, as I can relate to them because I have seen them raced every year for the last 20 years. I bought my first racing sim (Microprose GP2) to better understand what I was watching on TV. Ditto for Le Mans, Brands Hatch and the famed Nordschleife.

Alsace and others are actually pretty good but are "make believe" and hard to relate to.

I think combos like Le Mans (La Sarthe) limited to period correct Gr1 1992 vintage vehicles are very cool. I have not been around long enough to enjoy that sort of combo. Similarly, I would like to try a vintage track like Brands Hatch with devilishly handling 1950/1960s era sports cars. How about a 1954 Merc 300 SL Gullwing on a vintage track, anyone? I have a sort-of-Ferrari Dino in my garage with no call to use it in the Dailes.

PD have come up with some good ones but not often enough:
  • The Gr 3 combo at the Nord was wonderful.
  • The Gr 1 1992 era vintage at Fuji was good as it forced us to use the older cars.

I would like to see a little more of that instead of recycling the Gr4 cars at familiar tracks. BTW, I like Gr 4 and FF but there is so much more in this game.

To me there's just a lack of straight up proper circuits. Lake maggiorie is a proper circuit, st croix and alsace are not, I think most of us know the intuitive difference. Fuji and Autopolis are real tracks but have less flow than a 90 year old man's urinary tract.

Tracks i listed above with possible exception of the chicane filled Imola, are just straight up road courses. Road America is sorely missed, i'd argue a top 5 track on the planet.

To me St Croix is one of the best tracks in the game and Fuji and Autopolis both have a flow and rythm. I guess it's hard to make sweeping generalized statements like that. One man's favourite track is another's dump.

I got the '08 Lexus on the prize wheel on one of my alts. Tried it the last time Gr. 2 was in the dailies. Stable, but to me, felt slow.

You've just described the entire game for the last year....or more. :p

I don't think anyone will argue this point, occasionally PD pulls some magic from their hat. Can't get enough of Maggiore. Used to hate it, but that was before I started winning there. ;) One of my other favorites was Red Rock Valley from GT2.

I like Gr 4 and FF but there is so much more in this game.

I think Gr. 4 is used so often because it's more accessible to the average person. Racing isn't cheap, but it costs much less to race in real GT4 competition than a factory backed effort that would classify as Gr. 3 in the game.

I dig St Croix and Sardegna. I like the classic feel of those circuits. Many despise those layouts, but I like them best, when using classic cars.

I like them in the racing classes. I personally don't feel like those tracks feel like classic tracks. They have a feel all to their own. To me, they feel thoroughly modern.
