... I don't wanna lose it all due to other players' poor racecraft, and with the volatile state of the penalty system, it can happen in the blink of an eye...

So that's what an Alt account is for right? Only race your primary account for track/car combos that inherently support clean races... The Alt is for everything else..

Let's test your knowledge ....
Answer "Alt" or "Pimary"...

1. Gr2 on Fuji with grid start?

2. Zonda R on Nurburg GP with grid start?

3. Gr4 on Lago Maggiore with rolling start?

Of course Nations Cup you can only use your Primary, so skip those track/car combos that you know are bad. A bad result will be excluded from your points tally anyway, so why sacrifice the DR/SR?

Okay then

A nice Race B. The other ATenza got overtaken by an RCZ, took the spot back with a good pass. Ran a few seconds behind me and hit the COD and exited for the DNF. Atenza is one of the sleepers in this combo. No CRB as I scraped the COD a couple times(check my bonnet clip - PD's amazing attention to details) to avoid the TT.

Does anybody have a guess what this was about? I really have no idea.

Probably for the contact at 0:15... He then cut the corner which would have been a penalty for him being so far onto the green. Then also you took too much of the curb on exit, so I'm guessing 2 sec penalty for the "push" plus 1 sec for exceed track limit. It often says "Forcing another car off the track" even when you don't see any car off the track.... Also consider lag to the server. If you saw his video it would look quite different (taking noteoof your yellow 3 bars)

This vid is painful to watch, but explains it well... Actually gives me sympathy for PD trying to deal with ping lag... Logic is not enough..

Did a Race B yesterday and one today. Good racing. Fast but clean.

QT 1:46.2. Started/finished 5th. CRB. Both races. Couldn't get near my QT today. Using the VW, I like the Scirocco on DT Seaside. I know it's weird choice.

3 seconds for not having pop-up headlights. :p

Scene: Dragon Trail Seaside

Without prejudice

Person or persons unknown may have unwittingly "encouraged" a serial rammer toward the direction of pitlane at the end of lap one, avoiding a collision with the pit wall by a millimetre.
Person or persons unknown did not receive penalty

How are you getting the Viper to stop? Into T2 (uphill corkscrew) I need to brake considerably earlier with it than other cars.

Brake less. What I mean is, you don't have to bring the car down to the speed that you want to go into the turn at. Brake enough that you can angle the car into the first part of the chicane (the uphill left), then allow the car to simply coast. No throttle, no more braking effort. When the car feels like it is turning where you want it to go, apply the amount of throttle that you want.

Does anybody have a guess what this was about? I really have no idea.

I was going to say the same thing @Mudda Chod said. There was contact, the game didn't see a difference between him cutting the track vs. you "pushing" him off. Still not buying the ping excuse. Cheaters are gonna take any advantage they can.

Probably for the touch on the guy near the cone at the top there, the left.
I had one yesterday ok, weirdest one I’ve ever had. I was about 2-3 seconds back in the uphill esses at Seaside. No cars behind or nearby. The hitting a car sound effect crunch happened heading up the hill. It goes left right and it was approaching the apex of the next left and I received an sr down. There were no cars nearby. Weird.

Race B can be fun, but we have to put up with the stupid penalties. Someone brakes and swerves 2 secs, someone drived into my side on the corner 3 secs and some idiot taps me and he drives into the barrier 3.5 secs. That was just on race and I didn't mention the slight drift which gets a 0.5 for track limits yet driving over the corners on the sort of straight is fine. I've gone from S to B and have only made 1 or 2 slight mistakes and one deliberate ram due to constantly being pestered.

DRAGON TRAIL SEASIDE

*pours coffee, slips into chair like the old warrior he is, giggles*

BLAMMO!

Two victories and a third place.

*switches off ps4. Goes back to bed. Whispers with a smile on his old, stubble face, "gonna be a good week" *

God i hate the COD, ruins the track. I hit it or have to go super slow at least once per race, just a garbage corner, loathe it.

Practice. I agree, that even with practice, the CoD still gets you every now & then. I made this video in August & showed the replay of my speed through the CoD. Once you get comfortable with it, I shoot to be exiting the CoD at about 120 MPH. If not, then I just lost ground to everybody.

Good morning friends,

Yesterday evening I saddled up my 458 Italia, fired her up, and whispered:.
“We are going to Seaside baby, I’m gonna need your best”
She put out. I managed a win. After seven races I’m sitting at 96 SR. That Ferrari...She did it ALL NIGHT LONG...

Happy Holidays! Enjoy your life and races, even just a little!

Race C this week has made me appreciate the Alsace circuit a bit more:

Actually has a very nice flow with these high-speed, high-downforce cars. Put in quite a bit of practice since I was mostly unfamiliar with the circuit as it rarely shows up for Daily Races anymore, but I got a general idea down on where to brake and where to stomp on the throttle. Getting Pole Position in any Daily Race still gives me the shakes since I always think I'm gonna mess up, but I kept it clean, didn't bin it and took the win, probably my last win for the year of 2020 I bet. :D

I like the Alsace. I’m a sucker for Seaside though. I shared up a race with the big boys that became a one on one (day before yesterday). I was in @sturk0167 ‘s old school shake n bake Viper he made for me many moons ago. I battled a fella “no morons” in an M4. Fought for my life in that one-started 14th...Fun...(tpc is search tag)
For COD the lift is where the entry curb is on the track far right against the wall for easiest fast way through. You wanna even rub that wall a touch, angle right off the end of that curb, your lift at the beginning of that curb combined with no steering change (it’s a fixed arc) gets you turned in, then back on power full going through-throttle stabilizes the car-good exit is 125 mph plus...Most guys go full throttle too deep on entry then lift mid chicane which destabilizes the car and loses too much speed. The early lift combined with very minimal steering then powering through is the best way I’ve found...

I'm doing a new Gr.4 Mustang livery. Not sure if that car works for you.
Should be ready in a couple hours. 👍

I just made my first attempt at race B. I started at the back, and on lap 1, the car that was only about .2 ahead of me took a bad line at the c.o.d. and slammed on his brakes. I was not expecting that. SR down for me.
Afterwards, I saw that he was rated D/S. He was doing his best, I'm sure.
That's the risk you take by not qualifying. :dunce:

I saw you. I'm in my alt also. You gain some positions anyway
