5RM/1RH, has been working for me. I see many doing 2RH/4RM.
I've been doing 2RH/4RM in the 908, and it's worked out well. Had a great one last night, starting P2 - the R18 on P1, and the two R18s behind me (all on RM), shot off into the distance from the start. I was resigned to finishing 4th, but as the laps went by I slowly caught back up to P3, passing him for good on lap 4.

At the end of lap 5, they all pitted for their RHs, and I passed the other two in the pits - won by 10 seconds!

As a 5x winner on Maggiore GP II, I have to agree with the Max. Seaside II is worse. Take everything we loathe about DTS & put it at the start of the lap, not the end. Lap 1 turn 2 meme, anyone?

I also forgot to shout out @KiepeYai & @roamingbard13 for making another YouTuber's video. Damn Roam, that lap 2 move at the end of the Kemmel. Balls my man, you got balls.

I do agree that DTS II is bad. Worse than Maggiore II? Ehhhhh...
What I can say about DTS II is that the hairpin after the COD is so awkward to navigate through.

No. I will fight you.
It's on. Let's settle it in a quick round of bumper cars. @GOTMAXPOWER determines the winner.

The final chicane at DTS II, isn't as bad as the final chicane at DTG II.

As for the Seaside hairpin at DTS II, I like that double apex entry. Just when you think you slowed right down, it tightens again. Players that try to go inside, as you're using the optimum line, are the ones that can ruin your run at the exit, on the start uphill.

Still a fast enjoyable track for me.

Sure. DRWF. Tomorrow.
I’m actually not sure if I’ll be there myself, lol, but I’ll try.

I've always been really mediocre at Spa, but something about the Ardennes circuit combined with the 650S has been a very good slap to my face.

I'm up from 32K a week ago, to 46K as of typing, so now I'm on a mission to see if I can get to A+! Porsche road cars are always good for me too, so I'm running Fuji here and there also.

This is a dizzy high within the game for me! I'm just starting a stream now if you want to see if I can go any further up.

EDIT: And I just ran in the same lobby as Lucas Ordonez... this is getting pretty intense!

I am not experiencing that so much. One race yesterday was hairy but most I have been in are aggressive but clean.
I can't help but to think of your stand in the "Rate this move"-thread and suspect it feels more rough due to your views on corner rights.

I find your stance on that thread hilarious given not so long ago you said you needed to be totally side by side to make a pass and I pointed to the FIA rule book to show that c-pillar overlap is fine, so you've certainly changed your tune.

Regardless, at Spa, the incidents I referred to did not happen to me so much but the battles ahead of me, complete bedlam, guys are constantly rubbing mid corner, tagging the rear end of the guy in front. It's worked in my favour a bit as I pick off places I don't really deserve but the lack of penalties for pushing folks off is not good. Entering Les Combes, if you push a guy wide from the side you don't get a penalty, i must have seen it 10 times.

I'm not doing it here too. But check out @Ashthebash s avatar.
I still feel like I did before, we just don't agree on where. And so be it.

Just raced my first 2 races of the week, other than 1 manu race last night. Race C, first was in the Mazda, second in the 962. My 25 in Q wasn't doing me much good, and the 962 race was pretty loaded, with @GOTMAXPOWER and @sturk0167 behind me with no Q on alts. I started on hards, and was going okay, but couldn't get away from an 050 behind me, and he was hitting me in every corner. Got knocked sideways as he pulled a half pit manuever, lost some time, got a couple of limit penalties, and ended up way in back. Put on mediums after lap 2 but only passed 1 guy when he looped it after mulsanne. Somehow ended up 14th...I think some guys pitted on the final lap. (Sturk?) I'm waay off the pace here. Lack of track time the last couple weeks doesn't help. Maybe I can do something at Tokyo. Track seems to like me, and I KNOW where the track limits are there!
Yeah, I pitted at the end of lap 5. But as it turned out, I shouldn't have bothered stopping at all.
I pulled a @RacingGrandpa and hit the button too quickly when I pulled in. 2 sets of mediums.
+1 minute for a last place finish.

I believe it was my first ever tire penalty. :embarrassed:

Finally found some time for some racing after a hectic few weeks. Not really an exciting week for races imo but the McLaren sure is nice to drive around spa.

Yeah in qualy it feels good but i couldn't race with it, i dunno how you guys do it! I am just not good enough to keep it from sliding mid corner and robbing me of time. But it is great to see it on track, McLaren has been utterly wasted in this game and they look like proper race cars.

Probably because I drive it too slow. Had no issues with it last night. Just a race where we all matched pace with each other. Gained 1 place due to a penalty.

I made it to A+! Absolutely delighted, but also now dreading who I'm matched with in FIA...

Those RCZs are so frustrating to fight against in a less straight-line oriented car like the 650! :scared:

It depends how you get your shifting done in the 650S. A bit of short shifting can see you pull or gain on an RCZ alone. If an RCZ has a tow from a car ahead, it's tough to catch up.

I've done it last night though. RCZs make up nearly half the field in my three races. My times aren't flash(2:27.804[Mustang] & 2:27.4xx[650S]) in both A/S accounts. Has me starting in the 13-15 positions.

I used the Mustang to thrash three RCZs at the back(S/A+/A/S rooms). I think one of the Kong players was trying a no qualy, from last, in an F-TYPE. I passed the RCZs and pulled away, on the second and third laps. Mustang's tight cornering was killing them.

Used the Vantage next and was having a hard time, with a blocking NSX, on the long straight. It's corner exits were crazy fast. We passed an RCZ struggling on the turns. Another S-A/S room.

The 650S was gaining on the straights through radillion(around 217-219km/h). Shift to 7th early and the speed clicks up quicker. I was struggling in the turns. Not for grip, but momentum. Another 650S two spots ahead of me, was way quicker than me. There's no MR Sliiiiiide. So, I just have to get good.

Oh of course, the McLaren definitely needs a short-shift. I tend to shift up when the rev-counter is just passing the car's speed on the HUD.

I hate that, Worse is when I double clicked and picked "no fuel" when I had .6 laps left. Leaned it all the way and made it, but it was sloooww. I too wish there was a back or undo button in the pits.

Is there any way to pick the track AND car to practice? I'm only aware of going through "circuit experience". I was ripping around Autopolis, Its a fun track actually...looking forward to next week.

Custom race or time trial

Mostly done this for FIA events, but find that creating your own lobby is one of the best ways to prep for a race.

!:scared:

You’re not wrong there! Last seasons FIA Races I was jostling for top 6 occasional podium and a win when I was a low A, got the game when my PS5 arrived. Now I’m A+ an my most recent FIA races I’ve been fighting for 15th! Ha I feel A+ is not deserved for me as a DS4 racer! Haha

My turn for a bit of Mario Kart.

5th to 5th. Lost a place due to cold hards at Mulsanne and gained one thanks to the Italian thinking he could pit at the final corner of the race. Must have hit the barrier too as he had a 1:02.000 penalty at the end.

Getting better at LeMans, @RacingGrandpa I'm getting closer, your video helped a lot!

Had 2 goes this evening. Started 5th in the first run and was fighting for 3rd out of Mulsanne, in the slipstream of a Spaniard who weaved all the way to Indianapolis then edged me off to the left before the breaking zone. Down to 13th and fought back to 7th on a 5M/1H strategy. Of course the Spanish lad finishes 2nd and gains 10SR. This is the world we live in now.

2nd race started 8th and chose to go 1H/5M, was up to 5th on lap 1 when I messed up Indianapolis all on my own this time! Added a 1.5s penalty when I got the pit entry wrong and fought back from DFL to 5th.

Starting to enjoy race C, just need to concentrate for the whole 6 laps!

Am I missing something here, this looks likes a fair/decent move but both times I've tried it the other player has gotten upset:

Difficult. First one they were annoyed and trying to spin you. Nothing wrong with it.
Second one I was going to say they were just moving for the corner and were ahead, just that you got the better run. On second look they tried to shove you off as they moved really early for the turn.

I thought so, the first one got a penalty but that was for track limits the corner before when he was 2 tenths ahead. Might be that they're fine with the move but just don't like me
