I think I’d rather have the option to hit Circle and go back if I made a wrong choice, then it wouldn’t even matter. You could always fix it before the car gets there. :)
Yeah confirmation or back button would be great, even if it extended the pit stop it's quicker than coming back in, my biggest error is hitting "don't refuel" every time even when I need fuel and wasting 5 secs if I muck that up is better than another 20 secs loss pitting again.

One corner i seem to get hounded on BADLY is the left hander after Rivage. I take rivage ok, but simply CANNOT rotate the car left quick enough, EVERYONE around me gains on me then pressures me into Pouhon.

I have found a ton of time through Campus though, I am eating guys alive through there, SB guys anyways.

We are talking about the lefthander with no name between Rivage and Pouhon, correct?

Recall the bouncy/reflecting curbs?
A lateral touch on the right side curb will help reflect or bounce the car to the left aiding the turn.
During the turn, I stay in fourth gear (FF VW) as rotation tends to be better when RPMs are lower.
I brake very slightly.
Unconsciously, I am maintaining minimal pressure on the throttle through the turn. I do not know if that part is helping or hurting.
Aiming for a speed > 130 kph through the turn.

I have spent a lot of practice time with the GR4 VIPER at SPA trying to get a good QT .Just not happening, feels like I'm driving with a Elephant sitting on my hood .I knew sooner or later PD was going to nuke the VIPERS ...BUT 🤬 Just call me JAG AL NOW :lol::lol:

I hope the Viper didn't get neutered to the point that I can't use it. I just logged in yesterday & got the update & I just played offline & on RS tires, the Corvette Gr. 3 didn't feel as good as the last time I drove it.

Gonna pull a bit of a @Brown TE37s here...
I really hate grinding in this game so I never have much money, but I have 1 mil now. Should I buy the Peugeot 908? Any better choices? @GTR Racer 5 says the R18 11 is good too, kinda conflicted about that too. I have the '16 LMPs and all 5 Group Cs.
This is a serious question btw.
Why did you ping me?

I tried the Viper last night and managed a 1:28.0, about 3 tenths off my best Jag time (which was a fluke I think). Viper felt better in the corners, and I was more consistent in the races - no overtakes but gained a couple of spots due other's mistakes.

I'll be at Autopolis for Gr4 action next week although I expect lots of banging. I will try as many cars as possible too, even some trash ones. :D

Might need a bit of luck like this though. :D

Also here's another "Overtake Of The Week"

Despite it being as dirty as anything they would have got away with it had they not kept their foot in and spun them off afterwards. :ouch:

Autopolis is always intriguing. Favorite real circuit in the game.
Most intriguing will be the META car choice.

Slophy? WRX? Scirocco? :sly:

Just did Race B, in the Megane FF. Still a speedy car. 9th to 6th.

Also did two race Cs in two Audi's; R18 and VGT.

Finished 2nd from 10th, in the VGT. 5th to 1st in the R18.
VGT race was through attrition.

R18 was hard racing. I got about five penalties, for looking at the lines. Kept the Group C cars in check(yeah right ). A 962 was roasting the field. Anyway, I had a battle with a couple 908s. Hard racing.
Towards the last few laps. 962 was losing grip. Went off and recovered. That was enough for me and the 908s to pounce. However, both 908s fell off. I caught the 962 through the Porsche curves and it pit for RMs, when I was on its tail.

I ran one more lap. No mistakes. 22 second gap to the 919 that jumped the 962. I pit for RH. Come out 1 second behind both Porsches.
962 has an off just after the pits. I pass it. It passes me after the second chicane. BUT, it brakes too late, nearly tagging the 919 and goes off!
I chase the 919, but don't know if it pit early. It's nearly creeping in the turns, but has more hybrid power. Pulls away after corners. We get to the final chicane. 919 crosses less than a second ahead... I'm P1. :gtpflag:

I think the Trophy will be the car of choice for the race because of the tyre wear but what will be the worst cars, I've got to try them as well? Except maybe not the Veyron, that will be rubbish and probably dangerous. :embarrassed:

Next week’s races are up!
N200 Suzuka East
Gr3 DTS II
Gr4 Autopolis

Just done a few test laps of Autopolis in a Lexus (Just because I am comfortable with that car) and that is a really interesting track.

Another one with a long straight but the rest of the track has a lot of technical corners that invite you to take them faster than you should and will then spit you off track. That pit entrance is going to be fun and I expect some carnage there too

I wonder how many folks are going to pick something for straight line speed and then really struggle with the rest of the track. My prediction is it's will be a really messy punting SR down in lower DR races for a lot of folks even with the penalty system as it is now.

I am still going to race it but not sure with what right now and more testing over the weekend will be in order.

Finally did Daily C today (started 9th/19th using CE lap for reference, finished 9th/16th) and a quick PSA, reposted from the update thread: Tire penalties in daily races are now one minute like in FIA races instead of usual 20 seconds.
EDIT: The tire stuff seems not to be a new change?

It's not. Been a few updates at least.

any thoughts on gr3 cars for next week? although being that i'm equally slow in all of them it really shouldn't make any difference to me:)

Well I set up an alt account last week, and already he is faster than regular me!
Somehow BarneyDaDog can lap a second quicker around Spa than regular Barney_Da_Dog. He also did better at RBR last week. Weird.

Young pups are always full of energy.

Except maybe not the Veyron, that will be rubbish and probably dangerous. :embarrassed:

Only to yourself.

Man tried LeMans again and i just cannot get my braking points figured out, I am not a huge fan of super long tracks as i struggle to remember the nuances of each corner. I di 6, 7 laps and still mess up basically every corner, I have an innate struggle to remember each corner, i just cannot seem to do it.

leMans GR1 should be permanent , i could race this combo all day everyday
No, no, no, no! Please no!

Anything but this!
For me, it appears fun then it bites when I come to the race. My record at Sarthe is awful. Determined to get better however.

Gr.4 at Autopolis next week is definitely more my cup of tea

Race B at spa is so dissapointing for me. There are many cars I can handle at TSC0 and it has some fun spots, but the start is insane. I started at about 4 different spots (5th, 10th, 12th, 13th). Each time I was at least 1.5 seconds behind the driver ahead halfway up the straight. The rolling start and sausages are really odd for a starting point. When you are back in the pack you have to "learn" the braking point at a slower than normal speed to take the chicane, and when I was 5th I think I was right on top of a hump when I went from autodrive to "go, go, go.." Had no idea what to do with my accelerator at that point. Also, the cars are so spaced out that if you start 12th you must be at least 10 seconds behind the leaders at the start finish line. It would be better if if it was 4 or even 5 laps, with a better starting spot and tighter grouping, imo.

Anyway, have been having less fun but doing better in the Race A fishtail and divebomb fest. There are 3 spots on the track where you are just waiting to get t-boned. Plus, with the penalty changes everyone is just trying to get a nose in any corner they can,

Agree, needs at least another lap as well as a standing start. Racing has been shockingly clean given you have license to punt people off and still get a blue SR. Thing is, with so many people now SRS the grids are tighter as they are more based on pace and SR, it is tough going to make a clean pass, really tough, the dirty air kills you through radillion and blanchimont.
