Yeah good race ! Just couldnt get close enough to have a good run, well done.:gtpflag:
You got one once because both my mother and my brother were distracting me in the last three laps but I closed the door on that try :P
Thanks for the race again, I haven‘t had that much pressure for a while now especially since I didn‘t want to screw it up to avoid getting thrown **** at me here

Dont worry mate it is close racing **** can happen. As long as its not obviously intentional i am not one to hold a grudge. It is still a game after all.

You defended well. And maybe its just me but the effect of dirty air seems quite noticeable in these cars. Its kinda hard to follow when you get close it feels.

1.31.64 on Interlagos, maybe I can push 1-2 tenths more ... anyway, I believe that out of the 4 races I did my car behaved differently in each one of them, dont know if it is just me but one race I can take a certain corner with certain brake point without over or understeer and on the next race everything feels different and I hadnt changed anything - even my BB is the same ...

First time really messing with Gr2 cars. Took me a while to adjust, but was able to get a 1:47.7 after 15 or so laps. Definitely more tenths to shave off with practice.
A 1:47.7 is really fast. Fastest in EU is 1:47.8

I got down to 1:48.244 in the end but i am done for tonight.

From my point of view its not really correct when people say you are rewarded for lower SR.

Because: After a messy race yesterday my SR was down to 83. Today I made a 1.31.425 in Interlagos. Normaly, this is (in evening time) way not enough for pole when your DR is S. But I got pole, because I got mixed with lower ranked drivers (2xA, 2xD, rest B) because my SR was only 83. I won, but I gained only 290 DR! If I would have been ramed of in the first corner and be last or so, I would have lost maybe over 2500 DR! So that means there is way less benefit of lowering SR, like people say

The only benefit is that you could boost your pole and win stats a bit. 0ther then that it is indeed a great danger to your DR and rather nerve recking imo. I dropped 22 SR in a race some time back. On my way back from 77 to 99 i got 3 wins, 2nd and a 4th and still lost 50 DR. This were short races so only +5 SR per clean race.

Is it me, or did he have another couple hundredths to shave off on the 2nd curb of the chicane at the end?
Not saying this lap isn't perfection - but I think he has room to go 1,46.xx

I followed Wolf_Aono on twitter. He said he could've done maybe a lap near 1:46.85x but he is so bad at the final chicane:scared:

And he has to prepare for his job interview, so no more trying today.

"Maybe I can do a 1:46 lap only after I got the offer!" he said.

Impressive lap! I got 1'47"9 again but lost 0.4sec in Sector 2 because of oversteering.
I still don't know how japanese drivers achieve to do 1'47"0. Madness.

L-Shooter and Tommykaira be scared :scared::lol:

I know Japanese is way better than me in Suzuka so I haven’t even try. They dominate the leadership board in Asia/Oceania. 85 out of top 100 are Japanese. (Last time few days ago is 95!)

So I only play interlagos. Happy to break my PB and the only Convette in top 10 :)

I’m sure the majority of players from that region are Japanese, maybe they are better but more players will result in a Japan heavy leaderboard

If the playerbase is 95% Japanese I only expect the Top 100 to have 95 Japanese people there
Doesn't help either that the Japanese are really good :p

According to Jason’s website, total number of players in Asia/Oceania is 806,000.

Top 5 country:
Japan 349,000
Australia 144,000
Hong Kong 130,000
Taiwan 62,000
South Korea 42,000

Japan has 43% of the region (not 85-95%).

Thinking changing some pace in Interlagos is big mistake, just get stupid door banging and get usual random penalty generator. And messing with fuel map didn't bring me big advantage, should I race with fuel map 1 or 2-3 both bring same result

Was just guesswork, but yeah I'm trying to say that the Japanese makes the majority of the playerbase
And also that they're good :D

Try shortshifting :)
Lagos isn't really worth it if you don't qualify pole. Even P2 is enough to get into a divebombing fest

That's because you're an alien :p. From us poor shlubs at the other end, because I'm a SR/S, even though I'm DR/D, I often get matched against DR/A and B. Means I'm pretty well much guaranteed to qualify in the lower half and finish in the lower half. DR goes down. Then there's always some muppet with DR/B rating who didn't bother qualifying who crashes his way through the back field leaving a slew of wrecks in their wake.

I’m sure the majority of players from that region are Japanese, maybe they are better but more players will result in a Japan heavy leaderboard

In every race I'm in it's often all Japanese with maybe 2 or 3 Australians. Sometimes it's all Japanese with just me. Occasionally you might see a few other countries, mostly mainland China, Hong Hong or Taiwan.

Man, I’m so hit and miss with Suzuka but I’ve been waiting, what has felt like an eternity, for a Gr. 2 Race C. The incident free races I managed to pull together were great fun, very tough racing in the Asia/Oceania region. It seemed like the only way to make a move was by waiting for a mistake. The other half of my races felt like a waste of time though. If I wasn’t making dumb mistakes myself, I was getting caught up in other people’s squabbling. I can’t wait for a Gr. 2 race somewhere more comfortable for me.

Also, @Baliwa I thought I recognised that username. Saw you following me in a recent Gr. 2 race. Think you came close to a podium too thanks to a couple of guys up ahead making mistakes.

O. Just realised they dominate the world leadership board as well.

Ah that's you use GTP livery :gtpflag: I realy off pace on that race, go to gravel once and mistakes fuel map choice.

Got sidetracked today so I didn't get to race as much as I hoped. Thanks to Interlagos, I have recovered from my Dr slump.

Unfortunately I never won a race, and I am still in search of my 20th win

Kudos prime updates weird. The races I did this afternoon got logged as one day, and the races I just did got logged as a new day.

I don't want to admit IMO that Japanese gets that "little bit" at Suzuka. Home track advantage:lol:

Yeah it is huge if just look at statistics.
- 370,000/5,000,000 (~7% of players among the world)
- 16 out of top 25 (64%)

At the home track, I bet they hear louder applause and screaming from the audiences at the starting line so to encourage them to drive faster.

Tired of getting 4 sec penalties for the slightest bump on interlagos

And btw the stupid mustang seems not to have slipstream. Been driving a few mm behins its rear but it still increases the gap

I've gone into full "I don't give a crap anymore" and tanked my ratings hard to get to the 91 wins. I don't care. If I play honestly, I will NEVER get another win at the rank I was.

Problem is, no matter how far down I go, there are people still faster than me and I seem to be getting slower each race simply out of frustration. Never realized just how wonky the rankings and match-making are until now. I also don't remember Gr.3 being so impossible on the DS4. Damn this non-linear throttle to hell!

I don't want to pull my wheel out. I'm afraid I might break it at this point.
